Feng Jiao entered her classroom, lollipop still in her mouth, not in uniform, and not a single book in hand. Usually you would expect the teachers to scold such a student but all Feng Jiao was receiving from everyone was endless praise.
"Feng Jiao! You finally made it to school on time!" said her class teacher, teacher Wu, emotionally as he wiped a tear from his eyes, "I knew you could do it!"
The other teenagers at their desks were giggling at the extreme reaction their teacher was having. They whispered amongst themselves in groups.
Feng Jiao was extremely popular in her class. It was normal for teenagers who had nothing to look forward to and a life changing examination coming closer, to want to enjoy themselves. That enjoyment came from whatever nonsense Feng Jiao was up to.
She was definitely suspicious. Anyone who thought hard about it would realize that she was up to barely legal things all the time. She came to school covered in blood more than once. It was sort of ridiculous how nobody bothered to investigate her.
"Take a seat quickly. In today's class I'll be handing out your practice papers and we'll be discussing where you went wrong."
Feng Jiao pulled her chair out quietly and sat down next to her deskmate who was in deep sleep. She poked him on his neck and he was startled awake, almost falling backward from the shock.
"Why'd you jab me like that~" he groaned, as he slowly recovered from the shock.
"You got 52 on the paper." laughed Feng Jiao as teacher Wu dropped her deskmate's paper on the desk, "Tch tch, didn't you study?"
Her deskmate, Mo Ting, glared at her. It was understandable for literally anyone else to criticise his studying but Feng Jiao, who didn't even show up to most of the classes, was the last person to criticise him.
Feng Jiao suddenly felt herself being tapped lightly on her head with her paper. She hesitantly looked up guiltily to meet teacher Wu's now somewhat strict gaze. She gave him a hesitant smile as the rest of the class watched on and laughed.
He handed her the paper quietly and moved on to the next student without saying anything.
"You got a 51, Feng Jiao…" laughed Mo Ting. He held on to his sides as he laughed, almost falling over in the process.
"No way- I did well on this test, how the heck?" yelled Feng Jiao, flipping through the question paper. There were only three questions on the paper, and one of them was a full werewolf anatomy diagram with some sub questions. That question worth 50 marks had a big red one next to it.
"Oi Teacher Wu! I answered all of the sub questions and my diagram is perfect! Why'd I only get 1 point on it?" Feng Jiao brazenly shouted for teacher Wu from across the room.
Teacher Wu, who was bending forward to help another student on the other side of the room, looked at her curiously. He laughed before suddenly turning strict.
"Sub-question one: What is a werewolf. Read your answer out for the class." he said without looking up. He circled something on the other student's paper with a red pen, completely ignoring Feng Jiao's protests.
"A werewolf is half dog, half human. What's wrong with that?" Feng Jiao looked at him blankly.
The entire class erupted into peals of laughter. Feng Jiao stood up and looked around, completely confused.
"What's wrong with that?" she asked, this time a little louder.
Teacher Wu closed his red pen and walked over to Feng Jiao. He looked her in the eye with an expression that clearly said- 'are you dumb'...
"The werewolf even has the word wolf in it- I don't care if you got the rest of that question right, I only gave you one point since your diagram was great. Next time I'll throw your paper out!"
Teacher Wu picked up Feng Jiao's paper and waved it around, "You even spelled werewolf as where-wolf! Feng Jiao- Seriously what is with your diagram too? It's perfectly done but why are all the weak points made so much bigger?!"
He marched up and down the room and slammed the paper down on her desk.
"Teacher Li even cried when she saw the diagram. She asked me whether the drawing was some sort of threat- Feng Jiao can you not go one day without scaring teacher Li!?"
He took deep breaths, in and out, and in and out. Then he calmly walked away, out of the classroom and into the hallway. A loud scream was heard from teacher Wu before he walked back into the room calmly.
Everyone in the school knew what had happened. This was a normal occurrence. The teacher in the next room even whispered "Ah- Feng Jiao again?" to her class.
Teacher Wu made sure to stay as far away as possible from Feng Jiao to make sure he didn't go choke her or something. Her grades were very good despite being a slacker, but how was it that her advanced knowledge was so good but she hadn't the faintest clue of normal things...
Feng Jiao opened her mouth to speak again, but teacher Wu shushed her and walked to another student. "Feng Jiao, I have purged my negative energy. Don't make me go to the hallway again."
The only thing Feng Jiao could do was close her gaping mouth. She leaned to Mo Ting and whispered, "Is a wolf not just a rabid dog?"
Everyone else in the class was a werewolf, it was obvious that they would pick up what she said, even if she'd whispered it. They all choked with laughter for the umpteenth time that day.
"F.E.N.G.J.I.A.O" yelled teacher Wu as he ran out of the room again.
Another yell was heard from the hallways and this time it took him a whole three minutes to come back into the class.
"Teacher Wu sure is full of passion today." laughed Feng Jiao.
