Words Conflict

"Miss Jessy, I have to admit your beauty is really the top of this world. But, I don't understand why a royalty like you is willing to be a gift for someone else." Alan touched his chin as he spoke. He knew the weakness of his kingdom has already been spread throughout the world.

And, he expected trouble to come. But, he didn't expect the trouble would come like this. This made things clear to him. They can allow him to exist and even reach the ninth rank but they don't want him to be a demi-god.

If Alan becomes the demi-god, he can easily conquer the Beast Continent and even the world. Those people understand this and that's why they don't want him to reach that stage. Reaching the eighth rank at the age of eighteen shook the world.

But, this doesn't mean they have anything to fear him. Because it would be impossible to surpass the ninth rank without awakening that bloodline. And, even with the awakened bloodline, it would be hard.

Hearing his words, a smile appeared on her lips. Jessy leaned closer to Alan and said "If I can be a gift to your majesty, it would be my blessing. Unlike someone, I understand what it means to be your concubine."

Rose narrowed her eyes when she heard her words. She didn't expect Jessy to openly challenge her. Suddenly, she pulled up a cunning smile and walked towards Alan. Only a few people including Stain and her maids noticed her.

As she appeared beside Alan, she looked at Jessy with a mocking smile and said "Unfortunately Miss, my husband doesn't like someone who relies on him when they are strong by themselves. He already has the whole kingdom relying on him."

"He doesn't want to add an extra BURDEN to his shoulder."

"Oh! I didn't expect I would get Queen's attention. It seems the queen doesn't understand the meaning of burden. Someone as weak as you are is a true burden to his majesty." Suddenly, lightning-sparked between their eyes as Jessy replied.

Alan suddenly narrowed his eyes and tried to confront her. But, Rose moved her hand in front of him and smiled at Jessy, asking.

"Let's just say that you can become his concubine. But, as a member of the Tiger Kingdom, you could be a spy that has come to kill me. Since the whole world knows that I am his weakness, he won't be able to sleep well in my arms."

"He might even try to wake up every night to keep me safe. A king without a rest won't be able to focus on his work. And, if he can't focus on his work, the entire kingdom will slowly move towards destruction."

"And, even if you are not a spy. What can you do for a kingdom? After all, there are many beautiful women in the Wolf Kingdom. But, my husband can't go around asking their hands in marriage. If you don't have anything special. Why should he accept you as his concubine?"

Questioned by Rose, Jessy suddenly felt troubled. She didn't expect Rose to be this blunt. And, more importantly, she did come here to kill Rose. But, she can't say that loud. But, suddenly her eyes narrowed as she said "I have strength and talent. I can help his majesty in battle."

Hearing her words, Rose's smile became even wider. Seeing that smile, those royals suddenly felt chills on their back. That smile was the same smile Alan used whenever he confronts his enemy with words. He mocks his enemy and she was doing the same.

"Miss Jessy, if a single person could dictate the war especially when he is not the strongest person or smartest person, then can that even be considered a war? Let me ask you something! In how many wars have you participated till now?"

Jessy couldn't deny the fact that she hasn't participated in a single war. Seeing her silence, Rose continued "Miss Jessy, his majesty doesn't need someone with strength. He is a lone wolf in the battle."

"And, a kingdom needs more than just a soldier. It needs people who can control the economy, transportation, living standard, and even rules. His majesty doesn't want a concubine. If you want to force him, you need a value."

"I am not strong. I am not talented. I am not rich. But, I hold that value. This value is so heavy that I can become the Queen of Kingdom I do not belong to." As she said, she turned her head at Stain and asked "Do you have a gold coin?"

Her question startled him but the stain still took out a gold coin and gave it to her. She turned and showed the gold coin to Jessy and spoke "As you know, this is wealth. It might not be high but it is still wealth."

She exerted a little of her new strength and bent the gold coin. Alan's eyes narrowed when he saw her easily bending the gold coin. It takes a lot of strength. At least, only the rank one can bend the gold coin. But, he couldn't feel internal energy or the mana from her body.

In his eyes, she wasn't Rank One but he didn't understand why she got strong.

"Now, this gold coin doesn't have the same value. It's just random gold. Previously, you could this gold coin to buy five pieces of bread in Garcia. But now, it can't be used. It held a value that is why you could use it."

"But, now it no longer possesses any value. That's when you just throw it."

As she said, Rose threw away the gold coin and continued "If strength and talent could be a value to his majesty, then he could take a risk. And, by taking you, he is not taking risks. He is gambling. A king who gambles with people can one day lose his kingdom in a single game."

"Isn't that right, husband?" Rose turned her head at Alan and spoke with a beautiful smile.

Seeing that smile, Alan helplessly nods his head and turned at Jessy.

"Miss Jessy, no matter what Rose said, or no matter what you think, I am not going to marry anyone else. So, would you like to take a rest? You are turning pale."

Alan turned his head at Stain and tilts his head. Stain walked in front of Jessy and said "Lady Jessy, please follow me!"

Jessy didn't continue and walked away while glaring at Rose with killing intent. As she walked inside, Rose leaned closer to Alan and whispered "Why did you let her stay? She can get a chance to kill me inside the palace."

"It's alright. As long as I am here, nothing will happen to you. And, please don't say that you are precious to the Kingdom. You are asking your enemies to hit you." Alan spoke with a serious expression but instantly that changed to helplessness when he remembered how she tackled the situation.

She did use her words. But, she was attracting too much attention to herself. This wasn't a good idea when she is weak.

"Humph! I was just angry at her when she tried to mock me." Rose folded her arms and pouted.

"But, you looked cute when you were angry," Alan smirked as he saw her pouting.
