Chapter 2

A few months after Lily had contacted a manager for her new career in music, his name was robert den, he had helped her sign a contract to a record label. She had built a recording room in the extra space in her backyard.

" so, you're done, with all the things necessary for making music, have you written any songs yet." Susan asked.

" Well yeah I have, I am way ahead of you. And by the way I am about to go record it and publish it to the world." lily said,

"Do you even know how to record a song?" susan asked

Lily put her hands on susans shoulder, " like I said I am way ahead of you, I got the best music producer in the state. His name is Peter, he should be here any minute. If he comes, tell him I am in the recording room."

Recording room 9:00am.

Lily received a notification on her phone while she was warming up her voice. It was from vogue magazines asking her if she could come tomorrow for a photoshoot. " Yeah, I will reply to that later."

Peter came in, and said "hi, i am peter. You must be lily blues." Peter looked like those men who are funny and love their job so much, but look like they are annoying.

" Hi Peter, shall we get to work?" Lily asked.

" This might take a long time, so do you mind if we have like a 30 minutes break at some point, and we might not even finish recording today." Peter said

"That's fine, do you need anything else."lily said

Peter looked around the studio and said " everything is great, I just need water and some snacks, we might be here for 8 hours." Peter said

" 8 hours, wow that's encouraging." Lily said.

Lily walks to the wall phone and then picks up the phone. "Susan , please can you get two bottles of water, and some snacks please." Lily said.

" umm, miss lily this is Maryann, Susan went on her vacation and will be back next week."

" oh shit, when did she leave cause I saw her this morning?"lily asked

" Just a few minutes ago, can I get you anything?"mary-Ann replied.

" Just get me two bottles of water and snacks."

" Okay ma'am." Mary Ann said

" ma'am!? How old does she think I am?" Lily said to herself

Lily stepped into the recording booth, picked up her headphones and put it on.

" Okay let us start with the melody, what do you feel like it should be."

After some time.

" Can you play back the melody?" Peter plays it back.

" Yeah, take out the last note.now play it back again." Lily listens to it and nods her head to the sound of it " it's, okay, now we can record the rhythm pattern."

" So what do we do?" Peter asked

" me, you're asking me? Well I don't know, aren't you supposed to know things like these." Lily said

Peter laughed. He showed her how the rhythm is recorded during their 30 minutes break. And after that they recorded the rhythm pattern and the harmonies.

" We can continue the lyrics part tomorrow or finish it today. If you want, we still have time" Peter said, looking at his watch.

" You know what, let's finish recording it today, so we can release it tomorrow."Lily said

Peter laughed and said " that is not how it works, if we finish recording it today the digital recording process will take about two to three weeks."

" whatever. let's just finish with the lyrics."

They finished recording the lyrics and after a few minutes they had left the recording room.

By 5:30pm

Lily went to her room and sat down on her bed, she was checking her phone and had to reply to a lot of important messages that she had missed during the recording session.

Mary-Ann Knocked at Lily's room door and said "ms. Lily, there is a problem outside, someone is claiming to know you and he is trying to get in, the security are trying to hold him off."

Lily got up from her bed and went outside to check she saw the man being restrained by the security . " James?" Lily asked out of curiosity,She asked the security guards to let him go.

A few minutes later the problem was settled, and she let James into the house " so, James,how long has it been since we last saw each other ?" Lily said as she picked out a bottle of wine from a wine rack and pulled out a glass cup. " you're drinking right?"

James nodded his head.

She took a sip from her wine cup and said. "So, why are you here after 5 years I think? Is it money?"lily asked

" Now babe that's not the right way to treat your ex is it, and I don't need your money any more, I own a bar now." James said

" good for you, so why are you really here?" Lily asked

James got up and walked around Lily for a while.

" you know, to get a fresh start with you, now that you are no longer dating loser boy Josh."

Lily grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and pulled his face closer to hers." And I don't need a fresh start with you." Lily said

" really?" James asked bringing his face even more closer

"Yes, really. Mary-ann come make sure that James over here is seen out." Lily said as she pushed James aside and walked away

The next day

Lily came out of her room putting on her earrings. when she spotted James.

" James, what are you doing here?" Lily said, looking at Mary-ann for answers

"I spent the rest of the night with Mary-Ann in her room." James said

" Wait, what…you know what, I don't care, do whatever you want. Even with my maid,"Lily said.

"Aha. You were jealous for a short while, so you do care, cause I actually slept here on the couch."

"Ew, on my couch 'Mary-ann make sure when you're cleaning make sure you clean the couch very very well I don't want the scent of James on my couch." Lily said as she walked out the front door with James walking behind her. Lily was about to enter her car.

" I could be your driver."james said

" You think you can really handle being my driver,"Lily asked.

A few hours later

" isn't this the fifth location we're stopping at in just 2 hours" james asked

" yes it is and now this is the address to the vogue magazine studio."

They had finally reached the studio Lily

checked in.

" hi you must be lily, I am Greta, and this is your make up artist and fashion designer for this photoshoot."

A few minute later lily was all dressed up in a silver dress, silver boots and white and black wig

lily lay down on a white screen on the floor " we are going to place the camera over you, so don't be scared." Said the photographer, the photographer placed the camera over her and took a picture.

" Can we switch the pose up and touch the tip of your hair with your right hand while laying on the floor and your left on your chest. Good, beautiful. Now cross your legs. Perfect!!." He said and took multiple pictures

The first photo shoot was over, Lily looked at the picture and she liked it. She was getting ready for her next outfit when James called and she picked up the phone.

" Hey, Lily dear, where are you? I have been parked out here for a long time." James said

" You wanted to be my driver, well act like one " Lily said and hung up.

For the next photoshoot outfit she wore a blue top and a golden skirt.

She had finished the photoshoot and entered the car. James said " where to next."

" I have a few hours before I go to the WIRED magazine to answer the most googled questions about me."Lily said

" That means I could use this time to show you my bar." James said

"No, just take me home."lily said

" when have I ever been known to listen, and by the way it would be fun." James said

" Last time you said it would be fun, it caused me to be homeschooled for the rest of my life, so no." Lily said

" Well if that's what you want, to the bar we go." James said

" Oh God, I am sitting next to a fool." Lily said

A few minutes later. Outside of James bar

"Welcome to my Italian bar, right here in crystal." James says.

" Oh my God, it's lily. Let's go take a picture" a group of people said, as they walked up to lily.

" Can we take a selfie?" One of the fans said.

"Sure." They all come together for a photo and one of them takes out a selfie stick and takes a picture.

" OMG, lily I am so excited, I bought all the magazines with your picture in it. I am obsessed with you." One of the girls said.

" Well, I am glad. Now I have to get going." Lily aid as she walks with James inside the bar.

" Wow, this place is huge, how did you afford this?" Lily asked

" Well, I worked hard enough."James said

" Will we go sit over there?" He asked, while looking at a spot by the counter.

They walked over there and sat.

" what? Why are you staring at me."lily asked

" it is just that, you got even prettier than five years ago."

Lily then scoffs, " You're not serious." She then asked a bartender to pass her a drink.

" Can I ask you a question?" Jame said

"Go ahead, ask away." Lily replied.

" Will you be my girlfriend again?"james asked

Lily, almost choking on her drink, said " what?"

" I said…"

" I know what you said, it's just that…" Lily paused for a moment. " if I say yes, will you stop looking at me that way."

" I promise, I will stop." James says

" Fine, yes." Lily said

In excitement, James gets up from his chair and picks her up and then puts her down

" Never do that again."lily said

Lily agreed to James so quickly because she also liked him. But tried to hide it because she felt like being with him again doesn't feel right.

After a few hours at the bar, Lily checked the time on her phone.

" I have to go to the Wired magazine. Come on james"

At the wired magazine studio

" 5.4.3.2 1 Go" the director said

" hi I am lily and today I am doing the Wired Autocomplete Interview, yeah."

" Who are Lily Blue's parents?." The question asks

"My father is William blues and my mother is Gladys brown."

"Who is lily blue's boyfriend?"

" I have a boyfriend right now but I prefer it stays on the down low so next question."

" When was lily born?"

" I don't know my true birth date because I was adopted but it was around the month of October, but I celebrate my birthday based on the day I was adopted which is still on October the 9th."

" What is Lily's favorite color?"

"My favorite color is blue and sometimes purple."

"How old is lily"

" I am 24 years old."

" are lily and Ariana grande still friends."

"Yes we are still friends, in fact the last time we texted yesterday morning, I told her I had finished recording my first song and she replied saying i am so happy for you can't wait to hear it ily."

" How did Lily and Ariana meet?"

" it's actually a really cool story so it was my first time at the met gala, I was really excited but my shoes weren't they were like let's embarrass this grown ass woman in front of everybody, so I tripped breaking by heels as I was falling I grabbed ari's dress with me ripping it on the way. After that we talked for a while and we exchanged numbers. I sent her a dress and she sent me some really cute shoes.

There were some more questions that Lily had answered and within a few minutes she was done.

" ok, we're done, you did good lily." The director said.

" where to next?"james asked

" home."Lily answered

James dropped Lily off at her house, and then started to drive to an abandoned warehouse. Where he met a group of people.

he then came out of the car,

" Ok, how is dating Lily part of the plan?" James asked

" I don't know, it's what the boss said, and maybe tomorrow you could get her frozen yogurt." James' older brother Mike said.

" you guys ready." A guy pulled out a mask from a duffel bag, and then opened the warehouse garage door which revealed a row of motorcycles that they hoped on.

"Let's hit the bank." James says

Lily in her room writing a new song lyric, when she overheard the news from the television.

"Welcome back to talk, talk and talk news, today there is a bank robbery at zen bank, downtown on Main Street, a group of masked motorcyclists. Broke into the bank holding the cashier at gunpoint witnesses say, there were about five of them and one of them had Zander's frozen yogurt 2 for 1 coupon in his pocket. Onto our next gist lily was spotted earlier today with a man who is suspected to be her boyfriend. In her Wired interview she did admit she had a…"

Lily turned off the tv at that moment.

Her phone began to ring, it was Susan calling on facetime

" Hey Lily, what up, how are you doing?"

" Susan, take off that silly hat, you look like a human seahorse, and by the way, I am good. James came over, he asked me to be his girlfriend, and I said yes."lily said

" Girl, are you that desperate to be his girlfriend again? You know what he did last time, I know he helped turn you from a literal annoying bitch, to an average you, but seriously can't you see he tryna play you. He showed up out of nowhere and bam asked you to be his girlfriend, and your stupid ass said yes."

" Susan, watch your language."

" Sorry, I am just trying to enjoy my vacation. How is Mary-Ann doing?"

" she is boring, she is nothing like you, she even called me ma'am I wish she was just like you lily said

Mary-Ann putting her ear on Lily's door heard everything and said to herself. " She doesn't like me, but I have an idea."
