Chapter Forty: Just a regular man.

King Alexander stopped his horse for a minute. He knew that beyond the big oak tree was the southern hemisphere. His authority ended where he stood.

If he and his traveling companion moved another inch then he would be trespassing and breaking one of the treaties he signed with other hemispheres. He can't step into another hemisphere as king. But he can travel as a regular westerner.

King Alexander took out the symbol of his house, the only thing he had that could identify him as King and he moved closer to the tree to hang it. It was safe there. No one was allowed to touch the king's symbol.

Like requested, the supplies he had sent to the borders was waiting for him. King Alexander got down from the horse and found the bag that was hidden under the dry shrubs near the oak tree.
