I'll complete the mission!

Alora frowned as she heard this and so far, it seemed as if this Haze was the one who would be the easiest to deal with so she wondered why Carmen put this man as the third target. However, she didn't bother questioning it as she remembered the fact that Carmen had also warned her about Kaze's mood and how her life probably depended on it.

"Your next target would be Dimitra. Daughter of Belphegor, connected with the sin of sloth. Getting her here would probably be much easier than finding her. However, finding her is more difficult than getting the other four to come. I don't really know much about her personality so I can't say anything, but being cautious would still not hurt."

Alora gulped as she nodded her head and tried her best to remember all these names and warnings.

Carmen sighed as he continued, "Lastly, Michail. Son of Beelzebub. Prince of gluttony. Out of the five, he is probably the most difficult person to get through. I can only give you one piece of advice and that is not to mention food or drinks."

"Eh...?" This time Alora was a bit confused and surprised as she tilted her head and waited for the man to explain.

"He might be the prince of gluttony but the title is certainly not loved by him. If one tries to bribe him with food and drinks, he'd be offended and take it as mockery. So mentioning anything about a dinner..." Carmen paused only to chuckle softly as he spoke, "It is bound to burn your soul without a grave."

Alora didn't know if she was supposed to laugh or cry as she heard this.

"So, as you can see, this mission that he gave you... It is not one that you are meant to complete," Carmen spoke with a thin smile as he looked at Alora.

"Impossible!" Alora exclaimed with a small frown, "If he doesn't expect me to complete the mission, he wouldn't have given it to me in the first place itself."

"..."

It seemed that Alora still had a lot of trust in Leon. Although, there was not really anything the man had done in order to gain that trust.

Alora clapped her hands together once as she continued, "He probably wants to test me. Yes, that's it! He wants to test my loyalty. After all, I did get into a contract with those three succubi and agreed to kill him once. It would only be natural for him to hold a grudge."

Carmen couldn't help but blink in surprise as he heard this and he suddenly wondered if this girl was just innocently trusting or insanely dumb.

"So you're going to go through with it...?" Carmen asked and to his surprise, Alora didn't even hesitate to nod her head.

"Of course, I have to. This is the only way to prove my worth. If I can complete this mission, Leon is going to trust me!"

Carmen had the urge to ask why Alora wanted the man to trust her so much but he refrained from saying anything and simply decided to wait patiently.

Carmen shook his head with a chuckle as he took a minute to speak, "Well, I'll send someone with you just in case something goes wrong. That person would help you find the five demons."

"Great!" Alora exclaimed with joy as she readily nodded her head.

At first, the girl thought Carmen would send some guards with her, but she had been immediately proven wrong when Carmen called for another maid and instructed her to help Alora.

The maid looked to be very happy and enthusiastic as she heard Carmen calling for her. In fact, anybody who saw her face would be able to tell that she was a bit too happy to see the man and probably had a huge crush on him.

However, this was not the reason why Alora's eyes narrowed down on the girl. She looked at the maid intently because she found her face oddly familiar. She had definitely seen it before but she simply could not remember from where.

Once Carmen was done speaking, the maid nodded her head and turned to look at Alora with a warm smile.

Alora's eyes widened and she lifted her hand to point at the maid as she suddenly exclaimed, "It's you!"

The maid blinked innocently and was a bit stunned, however, she eventually realized what Alora was talking about.

"You're the one that was attacked by those hound dogs!" Alora added.

The maid nodded her head with an awkward chuckle as she spoke, "I have yet to thank you for saving me that day."

After being injured, the girl had been taken away by Carmen who helped treat her wounds, and hence she was not able to properly thank the girl.

"It was nothing," Alora smiled and spoke as she scratched the back of her neck, feeling a bit embarrassed, "I'm just glad to see that you're all better now."

"I apologize for worrying you," The maid bowed her head and her apology seemed to be a bit too sincere which made Alora feel as if this maid was clearly unsuited to be in hell.

"You can trust her," Carmen spoke with a thin smile as he looked at Alora, "If anything happens, you guys can contact me and I'll try my best to help out."

Both Alora and the maid readily nodded their heads as they heard this and Carmen took his leave soon enough, giving some space to the two girls for bonding over some small talk.

"I'm Alora, by the way. It was nice meeting you. I don't believe we got time to exchange our names last time...?"

The maid softly chuckled, "I already know your name. Miss Alora has quite the famous reputation around this palace."

"I do?" Alora asked with a bit of surprise but it looked as if she wasn't too bothered by it and was not expecting an answer.

"My name is Katelin," The maid added with a polite smile.

After having talked a bit, the maid suggested heading out in search of the first target and Alora enthusiastically agreed.

In Leon's room, he watched everything that was happening with the help of the dancing fire and it seemed that the man was quite enjoying the fact that the girl was going to now suffer trying to do the impossible.

However, Carmen knocked on the door and entered his room just to destroy the fun.

"You underestimate her," Carmen commented as he crossed his arms in front of his chest and took a seat on a chair.

"Isn't it you who overestimates her a bit too much?" Leon retorted but Carmen didn't look to be fazed as he immediately responded without even missing a beat.

"She had always been doing the impossible. Her being here at this very moment is something that was not supposed to be since the very beginning itself, but isn't she still here?"

Leon's smile faded away and it was replaced by a small frown as he lifted his head to glare at the demon.

Carmen shook his head with a sigh as he spoke, "We should just prepare for the dinner and wait. This time, they might just appear."

Leon scoffed as he heard this and he felt a little challenged so he spoke, "If she really does complete the mission, I might as well think about your offer."

It need not be explained what offer the guy was talking about since Carmen was more clear on this than anyone else.

Leon was betting his trust on this mission and if Alora succeeded, he would consider the offer of getting to know her better.

However, if she failed... Her punishment was already decided and would be carried out without even needing any interference from Leon.

"Then let's wait and watch," Carmen spoke with a small smirk, "I'm also curious to see what your highness looks like when you truly try to befriend a person."

"..."

Leon was sure Alora would not be successful with this mission but as he heard Carmen's words, he couldn't help but feel that he had walked into a trap that was made just to entertain this demon that enjoyed watching drama.

Leon took a sharp breath in and nodded his head as he agree to the bet and spoke, "In exchange, if she fails, you tell me about the maid."

For a second there, Carmen looked to be a little stunned but he was quick to recover his composure as he asked, "What maid?"

"The one you sent with her," Leon explained as his eyes narrowed down on Carmen with an indecipherable expression plastered on his face, "Last time as well, you immediately rushed to help her and treated her wounds. You might fool others but you can't fool me. It is not like you to pay so much attention to a specific person."

Carmen chuckled as he heard this and nodded his head, "Your highness is certainly sharp. I feel that this deal isn't fair to me but I'd still agree to it."
