Chapter 14

Sabah pov

I have been drowning in work for the past weeks. I wanted to and needed to forget about him. Insomnia too was catching up on me with a lot of caffeine running through my bloodstream.

I tried to forget him and moved on with the remaining pieces but I couldn't do a day without thinking of how he's doing, faring, and living.

I stared at my phone longingly. Maybe he might have considered it and wanted to apologize or say anything... Maybe hello because here, I was dying to hear his voice.

I even intentionally called his mother then immediately pressed the red button after a ring. His mother, being a good woman, called me back immediately and I lied that it was a mistake.

I was going crazy, I was over-exceeding myself with work and studies. I was always lost in my thoughts that my boss decided to give me a break but I declined it politely.
