Chapter 15 Selefa 3

Thousands of centuries ago, a clalmity befell the universe. Balls of raging fire fell from the heavens and started sucking the universe's core empty. The greatest of the creatures then failed to come up with a solution and this happened for months till one day, one of the highest in rank of their kind, on one of her ventures to oversee the solution found a ball of fire that was extinguishing which was a first ever since the start of the calamity but what held her hairs was the curled up being in the ball. It was so small, soft and plump, skin so creamy but with scales on its cheeks.

The lady went ahead and dared to pick up the creature and with that, she never went back home. She chose a secluded life with this treasure for if it fell into the wrong hands, then the fate of this universe was to be left to the CREATOR ALONE because ONLY HE would ever know what would happen!!

"Richard, you dare to sell off my daughter?!" Her thunderous voice boomed in the room that many had to cover their ears and wince in pain, some fell to the ground and other ended up with bleeding ears. Her explosive power was not to be trifled with.

Her golden hue escaped her range and encircled Richard's neck dragging him close for a better view and started chocking him, she wanted him dead this instant but she found it hard to end him. This frustrated her to no end as she knew no where to vent all this anger.

Ethy who had been ignored felt humiliated, yes she was a legend that he too grew up hearing but so what? She didn't reply to his question? He wanted to blow up but saw a better means to this. "Mother!" he called out shamelessly. This surprised the crowd that they all looked at him with envy and others with confusion. Selefa didn't bother with him as she was in deep thought on how to punish this husband of hers. He had locked her essence for thousands of years making her forget who she was and living a life of a normal human, not that she was against it but the fact that he dared to sell off his daughter to these heartless creatures was a no! All these years she had thought that what he did was for the well being of their family but she was so wrong and if not for the gossiping house helpers who happened to speak of it when she was imprisoned in the basement, then she'd never have gotten to know about it.

Suddenly, a gasp was heard and Eleanor managed to break free from the compulsion she was put into by Ethy. Eleanor gasped and coughed profusely like she had just survived drowning. The longer she stayed in her subconscious mind the more she was to drown and never return but only remain as an empty shell, however thanks to her mother's essence that was forced to pull her out. Andy rushed to her side and supported her parting and rubbing her back gently.

Richard who had turned blue from the relentless chocking turned his eyes to his daughter with remorse in them. He wanted to beg for forgiveness but that wasn't something he deserved and he knew that. Seeing the emotions in his eyes, Selefa softened a bit, things had not escalated to the worst and she managed to stop it all and her husband looked like he regretted his action, though he couldn't speak but it was clear. She couldn't kill him because firstly, she loved him deeply and all these years together, she couldn't bring herself to do it regardless of the wrath she had inside. Secondly, her children were present and she couldn't hurt their father in their presence and lastly, if she killed.....

She swallowed the lump in her throat and heaved a deep sigh, she let Richard go.

"I forgive you, but this is the last time we meet again Ardn." She had used his real name and in a stern cold voice. She knew from long that the human husband she had married had been compelled and hence he lost his soul only to be replaced by the young Ardn who had loved her but she didn't. It hurt her so bad that the love of her life was gone right before her eyes and she did nothing about it and when Ardn came, somehow, he managed to fill the gap, he was like a real father to her precious daughter.

When she turned around to leave with her children, she heard Richard Call out to her, he apologised, felt bad for what he had done, he begged for another chance, he declared his love for her from the first time she crossed his path, he gave all his reasons but Selefa was not turning back this time round.

Whoever had come to claim knew better not to stand in Selefa's way, only those who courted death maybe! She held Eleanor's hand and Andy's aswell and proceeded to leave. Eleanor who had been silent all along turned to give her father one last look with tears brimming in her eyes, after all she was daddy's girl and they loved each other deeply however, shock registered on her face when she saw the green eyed man from her subconscious mind with a dagger and maniac expression, he smirked at her evilly and she read from his lips the words "I warned you." She released herself from her mother's grip and tried to run to her father shouting his way to be careful but it was already too late and the next thing she saw was a sharp dagger piercing through Richard's spine and it was dragged to the bottom of his back blood spilling all over the floor by the ruthless green eyed man.

"Dad!!!!!!!!!!!" A shrill scream filled the room as Eleanor dashed to her father's body that was falling. His eyes had registered late shock as he didn't expect this having been trying to coax his wife begging for forgiveness.

Andy felt andrenaline rush in his blood and reached Ardn in a split second taking hold of his body before it crushed to the ground.

Ardn on the other hand felt flames soaring through his body and pain registered later, his eyes caught sight of a frozen Selefa, a painfully wailing Eleanor and a shattered Andy and the next thing, he was falling. He knew this was going to happen but not so soon, not when Selefa didn't want him anymore!! What was he to do now?? He felt life slipping from his body!

Eleanor rushed to his side wailing painfully like the dagger had been torn in her own flesh. Andy was holding him in his arms and using his energy to save him but the wound was not healing but rather getting worse causing more bleeding.

"Papa, dad....please stay with me!! Andy do something!!...Somebody please call the ambulance, get the medics here, my papa is dying!!!" She held onto his slightly cold fingers and watched his face pale each and every passing second. Turning to her mother who was frozen in her previous spot she cried out, "mum, do something!!!!," she chocked on her tears and emotions, her vision was blurred with the tears that seemed like a broken dam. Her chest felt stuffy and suffocating. "dad...pa...papa, please don't leave me. I'm sorry, please forgive me. We will take you with us. Mom, tell dad, we are going to take him along!!" But recieving no response from her mother, she dashed to her side and started to shake her, "mom say something.. forgive dad, let's go away from here together!!" She was so hysterical that she had no hold of her emotional state right now.

It was deadly for every breathing creature in the room....if only they knew!!!!
