Why bother?

Vermillion Samsara Deseret.

Undulating waves of heat intertwined with massive screens of golden sand, this sand washed over a pristine oasis, uplifting the entire land into a chaotic mess.

With a raging howl, the influx of energy drew near a specific point in space, welling up into a golden whirlpool of spatial oscillations before a massive fissure in space-time split apart. From this fissure, a distressed old man dashed into the looming heat waves.

The temperature in the Vermillion Samsara Deseret fluctuates between tens to hundreds of millions. Thus, once the old man ventured into the scene, his robes caught on a spark of crimson flames before he exclaimed out in shock. If he was prepared before making his entrance, he wouldn't have suffered. However, he was in a rush for his life, so he suffered a loss.

"Martial Uncle!" The old man roared at the top of his lungs, his face already pale with a curtain of cold sweat drenching his forehead. This old man was Great Elder Han, and his Martial Uncle is one of the old secluded cultivation monsters.

This martial uncle is a lone cultivator who transplanted the bloodline of a phoenix, though the bloodline was incredibly thin, it held a great benefit to his cultivation. As Great Elder Han frantically spread his divine sense in like a tide, not caring one bit for the smoldering heat resulting in the dissolution of his divine soul, he kept shouting out, whilst he activated his movement technique to the extreme.

In the void, a well-proportioned middle-aged man sat in a lotus position, he was endowed with a muscular physique, tan skin, fixed structure that exuded masculinity and charm. He had waves upon waves of fiery red hair, slanted eyebrows like a pair of divine swords, sharp facial features, and a pair of eyes as deep as the sea.

He sat there, motionless, a charming flame crane preached atop his left shoulder, enjoying the radiating heat from the middle-aged man's skin. This middle-aged man was presently shirtless, a piece of black cloth wrapped around his groin region and thighs, giving him a plain and unadorned image.

"Martial Uncle!"

Just then, a disordered voice rang from afar, prompting the man to part his eyes open and peer into the distance. The voice was thousands of miles away. However, by the time this man opened his eyes, the owner of the said voice was already bowing about a hundred feet away.

"Martial Nephew Han, what do you want?"

The middle-aged man asked. However, just as Great Elder Han was about to answer, his words choked up his throat as a sense of imminent crisis washed all over his body.

Not only him, even the middle-aged man in front of him reacted, both his pupils dilated, and the crane which nestled peacefully thus far cried out in a panic. Spiritual beasts had a keen sixth sense, so it wasn't surprising what kind of a phenomenon would entice such a reaction.

As for the middle-aged man, he was someone who has lived for countless years, he could easily put two and two together. For the moment, myriad emotions flashed through his eyes, anger was the most imminent of them. Without much delay, he plunged down with a palm akin to the claw of a tiger, brutally smacking Great Elder Han a thousand miles away.

Great Elder Han was like a cannonball as he plummeted towards the blistering sands, his blood ruptured like a fountain from his torn chest and shattered bones. The middle-aged man hoped to create some distance between himself and his Martial Nephew to avoid being caught in the collateral damage; he had no idea who this Martial Nephew of his had offended this time.

The Vermillion Samsara Deseret is a sealed space inside the core of a Massive Star; the Phoenix Eye Sun. Even with the ancient arrays, they could block out 98% of the star's heat from invading this space, one can imagine the tribulations one needs to enclose onto the core of this star, much less breach the array and attack those within!

"You fool! You brought a catastrophe unto yourself, don't dare drag me together with you!" Great Elder Han's Martial Uncle was furious, he has always been a loner, enjoying the practice of Martial Arts without offending a soul, yet the only person he deemed clear-headed to inherent a few lectures in regards to cultivation dared do this!

Just then, the entire crimson sky began to darken, a massive spatial vortex revolved amidst the drifting clouds, forming a massive Yin Yang Diagram with the circumference of a thousand miles, blanketing the entire sky!

The Martial Uncle's scalp went numb, and so did Great Elder Han!

Almost instantly, both of them launched a random void shift, tearing space apart to escape!

ROAR!

Rumble...

Kacha!

With a fierce roar, the Yin Yang Diagram began to frantically rotate before a massive pillar of thunder descended from the heavens. This pillar of thunder had a one-foot tall arrow centering its core, whilst the pillar of thunder was the interwoven positive and negative laws of the purgatory, molding into the shapes of raging dragons, each a thousand feet in length, as thick as ten bears combined.

Just as the two panic-stricken men escaped with a hair's width distance apart from being impacted, the arrow struck the ground with an unfathomable momentum!

The arrow silently sank to the core of the small universe, and then...

Bang!

Swoosh!

...

At this moment, two figures silently stepped out from the void, they were a dozen million miles away from the Phoenix Eye Sun, a massive star the size of a medium-grade world. At this moment, they were looking in the direction of this star with gloomy expressions devoid of vitality.

With the resonant cry of a bird, the entire star collapsed inwardly. It contracted at a rate visible to the naked eye, apparently on the verge of exploding.

"Why do you even bother running away, Martial Nephew?" The middle-aged man spoke, right before the massive big bang of the Phoenix Eye Sun...

The starry sky had no medium to transfer sound, one needed to imbue Qi into their vocal cords to speak. Thus, an explosion lacking the Qi transfer technique can't cause any loud ripples through the starry sky. Following that, the adjacent great, medium, and small-grade worlds were silently caught up in the explosion radius of the Phoenix Eye Sun.

Silently, a single arrow harvested the lives of billions.
