Chapter 67: Called out
3rd person view
"Sorry father, I didn't get in the top 10 position" Eleanor apologized
"That's fine Eleanor, you're still a first year, it's normal that you'll lose" the king replied "Though your 2 schoolmates are something"
"They are after all the top 2 this year, Perseus placing 1st and Albert in 2nd" Eleanor replied "I tried but placing third was the best I can do"
"That's quite alright, your siblings and half siblings didn't fare any better" the king said "What do you think of Albert?"
"He's a compassionate and considerate guy, why are you asking me this?" Eleanor asked
"We've considered getting you 2 engaged, you are about the same age after all"
"What?!"
"We may be in a private room, but please keep your voice down" The kind advised
"Why him?" Eleanor asked quietly clutching her fist
"He has a good background and he is very talented, and especially after he succeeded in wielding the king's sword, we can safely say he's would be very loyal to the kingdom" the king explained
"If that's true, what about Perseus? He's even more talented than Albert" Eleanor argued
"He is, but unlike Albert, his background would make an engagement between you 2 quite challenging, some nobles would like to keep it to themselves but they despise commoners, and with his personality, do you think he'll be loyal to the kingdom?"
"No, he's quite adventurous and has a lot of plans, he won't stay in one place, he definitely won't be loyal to the kingdom" Eleanor answered
"Exactly, but this is just a suggestion, no need to take it seriously, if you want, even Balor is suitable if you wish" The king smiled
"I'll think about it" Eleanor answered unhappily

I was in the middle of my spar when Liam came in.
"Did you win?"
"Nah, I got 4th" he replied sitting on the ground
"That's pretty good, what about Elliot?"
"The finals is about to start in any second, you'll see him there, he's against this guy from Griffin academy, apparently that guy is in the close combat competition too, you should watch the match, I'll rest here, I'm supposed to help Caleb in his training"
"Thanks, I'll go do just that, c'mon guys"
My bonds then followed me and since we didn't want to go to the coliseum, we stayed in the building and watched it through a screen where the fight is happening.
"On one corner, we have Elliot Von Albertson, the vice-captain of the junior team from Phoenix academy, he specializes in lightning and wind magic and has proven himself many times that he can swiftly eliminate any opponent" the announcer introduced "And on the other corner is also a captain from Griffin Academy, he specializes in a rare attribute, curse magic, Julius Nero!!"
Julius a guy around 170cm tall, have purple eyes and purple hair
-Curse magic, interesting, I want to fight with him myself- Ace said
-I should be able to use it, I can use any magic attribute after all-

"Curse magic, eh, should've observed you more" Elliot said
"You should always gather information on your opponents you know" Julius shrugged "And I got a lot"
"Well, it's not like I don't, curse magic specializes in debuffs, the longer I fight you, the more disadvantage I have, lucky for you, I like things in end fast" Elliot said wearing his robe and equipping his enchanted gloves
"You say that as if I don't have any offensive spells, well I'll defeat you in this one and go for your little captain next" Julius said as he got out his staff and mana orb
"Ready...start!"
"Lightning rain" Elliot shouted as small grey clouds formed over Julius and rain down a lot of lightning bolts, as Julius was trying to dodge, Elliot sends in waves of wind to push him off the stage.
"Poison cloud" Julius cast, as a purple cloud appeared on Elliot's side of the stage
Elliot used wind to disperse the clouds but it was no use, they kept coming back, the purple cloud also makes it hard for him to see Julius
"Dulled senses" Julius casted "Venom slash"
Elliot barely managed to sense it, but he managed to dodge it last second
"Hurricane" Elliot casted trying to push Julius off the stage "Lightning bolt"
The bolt misses dues to his dulled senses, he then shot several more spells grazing Julius, and some injuring him in the process
"Shit!" Julius cursed "I didn't have to do this, fire wave"
A wave of flames then swept the stage but Elliot uses wind magic and shield himself from the attack.
"So you got another attribute you've hidden!" Elliot shouted
"Well be grateful, you managed to make me use 2 attribute, most people would've fainted by now" Julius replied
The match continued till Elliot fainted due to the poison and Julius to his injuries, but Elliot fainted first.
"Elliot from Phoenix Academy fainted first, the victory goes to Julius of Griffin academy!" the referee announced and the crowd cheered
They were then both healed and they both woke up.
"Would you like to give a speech?" the announcer asked putting his mic in front of Julius
"Of course" Julius said after taking the mic "Perseus Silver, or should I say Percy, know that the result won't be the same in close combat, I'll utterly crush you and I'll win first place again! That's all"
Julius handed the mic back
"A declaration! What a confident fellow, a round of applause everybody!" The announcer shouted and everyone cheered
"Did he just call Perseus out?" Eliza asked
"Big bro will crush him!" Oliver shouted
"Yeah and he will beat that guy into a pulp" Emily added
"Yeah! No one calls out my son! without paying for it! I'll tell Perseus to kill him!" Axel snarled
"I can see that bloodlust is from your side of the family but don't say that in front of children" Mary scolded
"Told you it's from your side, even Mary agrees with me" Olivia nodded
"Sorry" John apologized

"He called me out! No one calls me out like that! I'll kill him!" I cursed "No one shorten my names without my permission"
-Well they can if they're a hot woman- Dabria said

"Woah calm down geez" Lucas backed up as he was accompanied by Albert, Aenon and Cecily
"When did you get here?"
"Just now" he answered
"What will you do if you match up with him?" Cecily asked curiously
"I'll rip his throat out"
Lucas gulped
"It would be better you rip his private parts out and shove them down his throat" Aenon suggested
"That's exactly what I'm going to do"
"Let's not" Albert said trying to calm me down "Aenon, we already had a discussion about this"
"Forgive this old coot young master" Aenon bowed
-Let's do exactly what Aenon suggested- Ace said cheerfully
-Don't, we'll be charged with murder- Diana argued

"Seems like someone want my prey" a woman corrupted giggled
"Well, let's not think him as prey, but as a potential ally" Urie suggested
"Well let's see what he can do first" a voice shouted back "If he's shit, we'll kill him along with the rest"
"You should calm down a bit" Urie joked "Maybe go drink those coffees of yours and calm down, Draven"
Draven was a guy, 180cm tall, grey hair, red eyes and he wears black leather clothing while sitting on a giant piece of boulder
"Just cuz I'm a ghoul doesn't mean I like coffee" the vice sneered
"Do you not like them?" Urie asked
"No, I love them" Draven grumbled

"No, your enhanced hearing might be faulty, go have it checked out" Draven mocked
"I just thought I heard a voice, sounded pathetic though" Urie shrugged "Ignore me"
