Chapter 102: Being an assistant is fun
It's the start of my second year, I was leaving the dorm and headed for my first class.
"What classes are you taking this year?" Albert asked as he joined me
"Well, I got 2 periods in the morning as Professor Steel's assistant, then it's spatial magic class, runesmith, enchanting and my last class is as professor Emma's assistant, you're an assistant too right?"
"Yeah, I'm Professor Green's assistant for the first 2 periods" he answered
"Seems like we'll be meeting often then"
"Go easy on the first years when you have to do the tradition, my class will be join you today like usual"
"I got it"
-Didn't you plan on beating them to a pulp?- Dabria asked
-That's the tradition, isn't it?- Siege joined in
-I'll compromise, I'll harshly punish only the arrogant ones-

"So that guy is professor Woods' son?"
He was a guy with light blue hair and yellow eyes, just like his father, slightly taller than myself
"Yeah, he placed second in the kingdom, Robert woods." Professor Steel nodded "You'll meet the first place in my sister's class, so just focus on beating him up"
"Isn't it kinda unfair, he's a year older than me"
"You're joking right?"
"I meant that even without equipment, he still doesn't really stand a chance, he'll need a bit more of experience if he want to last a bit longer"
Professor Steel then laughed
"Just go," he ordered "You're my assistant, so listen to what I say"
"Yes sir"
I then got up to the small arena, he then got out a pair of high-ranking gauntlets while dressing in light armor.
"I hope you're as good as my father says" he said
"Wow, confident much, don't damage my uniform too much now, the were really expensive"
"I can start whenever I want right?"
"Yeah go ahead, don't worry, no one will interfere"
He then surrounded his body with flames and charged at me, but as soon as he stepped forward, I warped to him and punched him in the face and hit him backwards, he recovered quickly and tried to fight back, but I then disappeared from his view.
I then did an axe kick that was clad with lightning magic, he looked up and tried to block it, but he was a little too late as it hit and exploded upon contact.
I then backed up and waited for him to recover.
"You're just toying with me, aren't you?" he spat out blood "Spatial mages really are annoying to fight with"
"I'm giving time to heal, Professor Steel didn't do the same with me you know"
He then got out a small red vial and drank it, his injuries then faded. He got up and tried to use a long range spell, one hand is charged with fire and the other is with lightning, but the spell shattered in front of his eyes. He was shocked and tried it again but it shattered again.
"Stop wasting mana, try using a bigger spell"
"You'll just shatter it again, won't you?" he sneered as he looked into my glowing eyes
"Well then stop using simple spells that I can easily break, use bigger ones, it's not like I don't have a weakness"
-Nova's training worked, I can't use them a lot against big spells though, it huts like hell-
-Like I kept repeating myself, it's a miracle that you can even wield that power in the first place- Dabria retorted
We then ran in and exchange hits, I mostly block all his hits and counter it with stronger hits due to my now more enhanced strength after becoming a dhampir.
"Here dodge this, fire punch" He then use both his hands to block his face but I then instead use my leg to sweep his foot, he lost balance and fell.
"That wasn't even a punch!" he complained
"Well never trust your opponents on the battlefield, and if it's with me, you better prepared to fight with your life on the line"
I then spend the next few minutes beating him up till all his armor broke and Professor Steel stopped the fight.
"Good job" he gave a thumbs up
"You big oaf and your assistant" Professor Green grumbled as she healed Robert

"For your second year, we will now learn more offensive spatial magic spells" Professor Steel informed "Spatial spells can delete the space of your target and erasing them from existence, it is very dangerous, so please thread with care"
He then demonstrate the spell on a huge rock, he shot the spell and almost none of it remains.
"The most important part of this spell is control, if your spell is too big, you might also damage your allies by accident and not just that, this spell requires a lot of mana, now please start practicing, if you have any questions, I'm here when you need me" Professor Williams instructed
-We've practiced this already after seeing Draven do it- Ace said
-Well let's take our time to master it-
We then went and practice for the whole period surprising professor Williams since we knew the spell already.

"Ok why is everyone surrounding me?"
"Everyone heard about your dragon" Professor Emma explained as she was walking through the crowd of students
"That sounds so wrong"
"That's not...that's not what I meant" she blushed while turning away
-You really are perverted- Dabria clicked her tongue
-She meant my brother- Diana said
"Oh you meant Damon? Sorry for the misunderstanding"
"So when can we meet him?" a first year asked
"When we have our field trip"
"Is that soon?"
"Um yeah"
It took a while for everyone to calm down and head back to their seats.
"Are you and the professor dating?" a female student raised her hand
She was around 165 cm tall, red hair, yellow eyes.
"Uhh no, what makes you think that?"
-Well she would love to considering that she fell under the effects of charm- Dabria reminded
-Hey, that was accidental, besides I don't go out with women who only fell for me under the effect of a skill or a spell-
-Yes, as perverted as he may be, he has standards- Siege nodded
-You could've left out the perverted part-
"It's the way she looks at you and the way she speaks, her tone gets softer and her gaze become slightly more focused" the girl explained
-Wow. I'm actually impressed- Ace whistled
-Does she really? I never noticed-
-You are as dense as any other protagonist- Dabria retorted
"What's your name?" I asked out of pure curiosity
"I am Kamila Redwood" she answered "I got the kingdom's entrance exam first position just like you scoring with 94 points"
"Thanks for the introduction, and as I said before, we are not dating, I'm only a second year student assigned as her assistant"
"One more question"
"Go ahead"
"Can I ask for a duel at a later date?" she asked
"I refuse, any more questions?"
"That's all" she then took her seat and our class started

3rd person view
"We almost eliminated all of what remains of the red sword with other kingdom's help" The headmaster informed the professors at the meeting "But with them gone, many other organization are using this continent as a battleground to take the top spot"
"Well for now, everything is progressing peacefully, but as for the investigation on those 2 members, Urie and Draven was it? No trace" Professor Steel said
"What about the investigation on this vampire kingdom that this Urie Chester person plan on taking Perseus to?" the headmaster asked
"No clue either" Professor White shook her head
"How did my son do?" Professor Woods asked
"He did pretty good, though this year talents aren't as good as the previous year, Perseus' and Albert's talents alone surpasses many expectations" Professor Steel replied
"Well no students other than them managed to defeat a student representative so far, the 2 we got couldn't either, I was there myself" Professor Blue said
"Well now that everything is out of the way, let's focus on the trip to Neelofar, we need to ensure the safety of our students" the headmaster said "These organizations might target us at any given moment, but this time we'll be prepared"
