Chapter 191: Orphanage visit

"And why did you guys lead me to this orphanage?"

"I even inform them of our visit" Cordelia said "It's not everyday that people would get to meet a vampire prince"

"I also kept it a secret, no one here knows that you're the donor" she whispered and winked at me "Besides it's time you get to meet the kid's faces"

-You have a very lovely girlfriend- Dabria commented -What did she do to deserve you? *sigh* I pity her taste in men-

"Ah princess Cordelia, how lovely it is to see you" A caretaker greeted us with a curtsy

"No need for such formalities, it's just a friendly visit" Cordelia responded "Where are the kids?"

"They're inside, come in, come in" she replied as we go in

"A cat!" a kid shouted out when he saw Ace "Can I play with him?"

"Sure, just don't pull his hair out"

"I'll take good care of him" the kid said as Ace got into his arms, he then ran to show Ace off to the other kids.

Siege was having the worst time as kids already started to mount him and pull on his ears. Kids has surrounded him and made him uncomfortable.

"Doggy, go!" The kid ordered as Siege disobeyed

"I'm not a dog, I'm a wolf" Siege argued as he then whimpered in pain as a few kids pulled out his fur

Siege then healed himself with water magic.

-Just how strong are these kids to be able to pull his fur-

-I can kill them, right?- He asked

-Now, what do you think our answers would be, Siege?- Diana replied with an ominous smile

-No...- Siege grumbled

"Doggy, go!" the kid repeated as Siege reluctantly obeyed with a swarm of kids following him

Me and and my bonds were surrounded by a swarm of kids while Marella and Cordelia are watching from afar

"You really are a vampire prince" a vampire kid commented "I thought that most of them are old"

"The rest are despite their young appearances" Perseus replied

"So how old are you?" kid#2 asked

"16"

"Is it true that you are the king of magic?" Kid#3 asked

"No, not even close"

"Then how come you can defeat the guardian, she's supposed to be super strong"

"Hard work and because I eat all my vegetables"

-That's a lie- Dabria interjected

"I'm a carnivore, I can't eat vegetables" the kid showed his fang like teeth

"And I can only consume blood" the vampire kid joined in "Can you teach us magic? I heard that you're the strongest in the kingdom"

"Hahaha, I like the flattery, but of course I'm the strongest. Every mage in the world have to think that they're the strongest, otherwise we will lose. Ms. caretaker, I can show them a thing or 2 about magic right?"

"Please, please, please!" the kids begged

"Just a few minor ones, no offensive spells" she answered "Let's go to the backyard, we have space there"

"Come on guys, let's go, I'll teach you all to be strong enough to beat the guardian yourselves"

"Please don't" the caretaker pleaded "They're already enough trouble as it is"

"...and that's why magic is all about imagination, but depending on how you use it, it's very dangerous"

I then showed them a variety of spells and shaped them to look like magical beasts to entertain them.

"But what if I can't use magic?" A timid kid asked "...because I don't have a magic core and I want to be a strong knight"

"Great question, then you can use aura" I answered him by showing aura "It's very stronger and much harder to use, but if you have enough will power and you put enough hard work, you can even shape it just like magic"

"Is there a strong knight you know?" the kid asked

"Yep, he's the old man who taught me this, he knows magic but rarely uses it, maybe someday when you get older, I'll teach it to you too"

"No fair, you promised to teach us magic first" the other kids complained

"There's my bonds too, I can't teach you all by myself, they're just as talented as I am"

3rd person view

"Surprisingly great with kids" Marella observed "Why can't you just give me a grandchild already?"

"We're not quite ready for that yet, mother" Cordelia blushed "We haven't even started to talk about living together nor marriage yet"

"And how many times have you slept with him?"

"How does that have to do with anything? You did it too, I overheard your conversations with father many times" Cordelia retorted "I can still hear them in my nightmares"

"Touché." Marella clicked her tongue "Look just have one, I will move here to personally nurture him, his parents would take a break from their job to help too, you have nothing to worry about anyone opposing it, I'd even fight Ziya if I have to"

"Maybe ask me again when I get engaged, then maybe I'll think about it"

"3 grandchildren" Marella reminded

"You had 1, and it's me, why would you want me to have 3?"

"All my friends already got grandkids and are showing them off, so I need 3 for competition and quite frankly I'm jealous"

"So you want me to have children just for you to show them off?" Cordelia asked

"Did you forget that I said that I'm jealous of my friends?"

"So you're really dating the princess? Just like the stories?" one of the kids asked Perseus

"Yeah, the strongest person always marry the princess" another one nodded

"I wouldn't say it was like the stories, considering how embarrassing our first encounter was" Perseus answered nervously "But yeah, I'm dating her"

"Will you have kids?"

"How are kids born?"

"Alright, enough questions" the caretaker cut in

"Aww" the sulked

"What are your dreams?" Perseus asked

"To be the strongest mage"

"To marry Ms. caretaker, she's very nice"

"The strongest knight"

"I want to bond with a dragon like you"

"I like the phoenix better, I want to bond with a phoenix" The kids all gave very entertaining answers before the caretaker asked

"What about you, what are your dreams?" she asked

"Just to live peacefully, I guess. But to do that, I have to rid of the world of its problems first, after I do, I just want to retire and maybe raise some children on my own and when they grow up, I'll just slack off as a wealthy slacker"

"Boring!" the kids shouted

"You kids will understand it one day" Perseus laughed

"He's the one alright" Marella nudged her daughter "He said children, plural"

"Why do you have to focus on the strangest of things?!" Cordelia retorted
