Chapter 294: We're back! (2)

Well we got back, and the first thing we did was to visit our old house or orphanage. It's been rebuild now, it's now this daycare of some sort, the building is much newer compared to when we lived there.

A lot of memories came rushing back to me at the moment, a lot of things happened in that house. We just observed the house across the street and then walked away after a while to not look suspicious.

"...You've been here before, haven't you?" Alice asked "Both you and master Zach"

"Well I trust you both with this information. Me and Perseus are originally from this world" Zach chuckled "We reincarnated in our current world after our premature death. We're siblings."

"Wait, why have you never tell me this, father?" Stella asked

"Well I didn't think it was necessary" Zach chuckled and wrapped an arm around my neck "I was his sister"

We then told them about reincarnation and other stuff, we told them everything. Alice took it well, but Stella on the other hand...

"What?!" Stella exclaimed and then stared at me "T-That means you're my uncle!"

"She has a better reaction than mine" Eliza snickered

"Please don't call me that, I'm no longer a person of this world. I'm now, Perseus Silver, just treat me how you always have, sis. Get your hands off me Zach, you're no longer Kelly."

"Now that really is complicated..." Alice mumbled "But it's not really surprising, the possibility of reincarnating with your memories intact, Rex would love to do experiments if he finds out. It was also explain why you recruited him personally and went out of your way to approach him yourself"

-And all the private discussions and inside jokes, they should have figured it out a long time ago- Ace commented

"I can't call you my little brother after this!" Stella exclaimed

"You're still older than me, a certain god mess with the time line and made Kelly reincarnate long before me. I'm still your younger brother, I'm no longer Grace Levens"

After we calmed down, we head for the cemetery, where I buried Kelly's body. There was also the gravestone for Benny and Kenny next to it which was basically empty since there was no longer a body to bury.

"Very unsettling, isn't it?" Lia pointed to my grave

"Of course, it is. I never visited the grave of the others either, it just remind me that I'm not strong enough to fight back"

It's weird seeing my own gravestone, I can detect my own dead buried remains, I'll have to thank Dawn if I ever get to meet her. But I probably just jinxed myself since I can detect a woman approaching.

-It's probably Dawn- And it was, the girl who used to like Kenny and is friendly towards us.

She's a woman in her late 30s, 173cm tall, black hair, dark brown skin and have hazel eyes. She carries flowers in her arms as she stared at our group.

"I didn't think that those 4 would have any other friends" she commented

"Well they barely interact with anyone outside the group. Grace didn't even like the other 3 eating at the same table at first, took a while before he warms up to them. They usually isolate themselves to their own world."

Dawn divide the flowers and placed them at our 4 gravestones.

"Were you the one that buy Grace's grave and recovered his body?"

"Yes" she nodded "I...felt bad. He lost the second group of people who he considered his own blood, and he died in an unfortunate accident. He had no remaining relatives nor friends, when I heard the news, I did all I could to recover his body and gave him a proper burial"

"Must have been expensive." Zach chimed in "We can pay you some money back since we couldn't help contribute then"

"It's fine, but if you must, then donate it to charity or other people in need, that was the type these 4 people were" Dawn shook her head "Ken in particular has mentioned about donating his money to charity when he gets a high paying job"

"Just curious, why do you still pay respects to them? They weren't particularly close to you"

"Well you see, I was devasted to hear that only Grace remained after that mission to reclaim Florida. And not just that, Grace even got accused of working for the worshippers afterwards..." Dawn replied "Turns out him and the survivors were right, those generals...they're a part of the worshippers but people are too scared to go against them after several people have gone missing after they did so"

"Oh? Does corruption run that deep now?"

"You clearly have been living under a rock if you haven't realized that" she answered "Why do you think that lesser actions have been taken against those worshippers lately? Or why there are no trials against these people, it runs too deep, won't be long till this whole planet gets taken over"

"What will you do if all the gorgers get eliminated one day?" Zach asked

"I've prayed for that for years, but if it does happen, I'll break my oath with the lord and drink myself dead"

-Will what we will be doing count as murder?- Ace asked

-Yeah, we'll eliminate all the gorgers after all, she looked serious- Damon added

-Well, it won't, don't worry- Dabria reassured.

We then watched Dawn left as we all stayed behind.

"Seeing my boyfriend's grave really is creepy, when can we leave?" Eliza asked

"Father, do you plan on staying behind in this world?" Stella asked

"Are you kidding me? Hell no" Zach laughed "This world is terrible, the only bearable thing is nice people like Dawn. Children are being forced to fight with their lives on the line just for a so-so life, it's terrible"

"But don't our world also have young adventurers?" Eliza pointed out "I mean, I also studied forging since a very young age"

"But you weren't forced into it, even if our current world does, it's very little in numbers. This world stinks, I'll resolve all my regrets in this world, ad just know, that I won't be coming back here ever again"

"Me too" Zach nodded "Who knows? After we master traveling through worlds, we'll travel through timelines and maybe try to find a world where Kenny and Benny are alive"
