27 Saving Kira

I got out of my meditation state and opened my eyes. I checked the time and found out that it was already 2:00 PM.

"Huh looks like I was really focused earlier." I thought on my head as I stood up and stretched my muscles. I don't know how the hell the protagonists of wuxia novels do this and not get muscle cramp.

After that satisfying stretch, I opened a garganta and stepped in it.

I appeared on the room that I rented before and just as I was about to go out I heard several screams.

"AHHHHHH!"

"RUN! THERE ARE HOLLOWS!!"

"MOMMY!"

I went to the window on the wall and opened it and what I saw would probably make a normal soul faint.

I saw that there was a 2 hollow directly in front of the window that turned its head towards me and looked me in the eye.

"....."

This staredown continued for a few seconds before the hollow roared at me "Raaaaaaaaarrr!"

It cocked its arm backwards and clenched its 1 meter fist and punched towards me.

Snapping out of my daze, I summoned Amber and used void stride to appear in front of its mask and slashed down.

I ignored the system notification and looked around, the buildings were on fire, people were getting chased by hollows and the shinigamis are slowly being killed by the large amount of hollows.

"Well this is unexpected but at the same time it is since this forest is where hollows normally appear." I said while dodging a tail sweeping towards me.

Looking at where the tail came from, I saw a flying hollow that looked like a Pterodactyls with a huge ass tail coming at me.

I wanted to see what it will do so I didn't move and just waited for it. The hollow didn't take long to arrive in front of me since it was already close to me anyway.

It opened its beak and tried to eat me whole. I slashed at it vertically and it got hack in half.

Now that that's done with, I wonder what should I do. Should I go and kill all the hollows or should I just watch since by there are shinigamis then that means that they have already requested help..... Hmmm

And as if to prove my what I thought, I sensed several reiatsu moving towards me at a fass pace.

"Welp I guess this is my que to sit back and watch." I went back to my undamaged room and watched as the reinforcements arrived and started to kill the hollows.

But what really caught my attention was a man that has blonde hair that covers his left eye.

"Hmm if I'm not wrong that should be Izuru Kira from the 3rd division. Looks like the 3rd division came."

I continued to watch the battle and it didn't take long for all the hollows to be exterminated.

A shinigami came up to Kira and said "Lieutenant Kira we've exterminated all the hollows in the area."

"Mhm good tell the 4th division members to heal the wounded here. As for us, set up a perimeter guard to protect the civilians in case more hollows come and I've also heard that there is a large bandit group in the area so report to me if you see them."

"Yes!" The shinigami saluted and used shunpo to leave.

Just as the shinigami left, a gargant appeared and a gillian was seen in it.

"!!!" Kira looked at the garganta and took out his zanpakutō to fight.

After that 2 more garganta appeared and out comes 3 more gillians.

After coming out the 2 started to change a cero and fired it towards Kira.

He dodged the ceros and went to the one closest to him, he chanted "Raise Your Head, Wabisuke!" and then his zanpakutō changed to a sword that's tip has two 90 degree angles, forming three sides of a square.

After coming in front of the gillian, he cutted down, but his sword only pierced its head slightly.

"Rooooooaaaaarrr!!" The gillian released an angry roar and fired a cero towards him.

He used shunpo to quickly back of then took his hand out, aiming it at the gillian he said "Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south!"

A red orb of crimson red energy appeared in his hand and he fired it towards the gillian, putting a hole on its head.

After that he dodged 2 ceros coming his way and used shunpo to go in front of the next gillian.

He putted his 2 hands in front of him and made wierd hand symbols while chanting "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat!"

A red energy appeared on the body of the gillian and it tried to move but couldn't. Kira used this chance to appear above it and slashed down on it with full force.

*Crack!*

The gillians mask started to crack and shattered into tiny pieces. Seeing this, Kira heaved a sigh of relief, only to get hit by cero on his back by the last gillian.

"Arghhh!!" He groaned in pain and fell to the ground unconscious. creating a web of cracks on the ground around him."

"Lieutenant Kira! Are you okay!?" Other shinigamis started to appear and went to him.

"Quick! Get Lieutenant Kira out of here and heal hi--!" One of the shinigamis yelled but was interrupted by the stomp of the gillian.

Looking up, they saw that the gillian was charging a cero and fired it towards them.

All the shinigamis closed their eyes, ducked on the ground and putted their hands on their heads. some of them tried to run away but it was useless because the cero was coming down on them quickly.

Seeing this, I said "Oh no you don't."

I used space deletion to delete the attack then used space detonation to explode the head of the gillian.

[Ding!]

[Host killed 1 gillian, 1,500 points received]

"Meh good enough." I thought as I looked at the shinigamis.

The shinigamis were expecting to die but the cero didn't hit them, opening their eyes they saw that the cero was nowhere to be seen and instead the head of the gillian was gone.

Seeing this they were overjoyed and started celebrating.

"Were alive were alive!"

"Yes! I didn't die!"

They continiued to celebrate but a voice interupted them.

"Shut up! Quickly take Lieutenant Kira to the 4th division! He's not going to survive if we wait any further!"

The shinigamis remembered that their Lieutenant was in critical condition and quickly took him to get treated.

Looking at them taking Kira away, I decided to go back since I doubt that I would be able to do something here with this mess, so I left a few kans on the reception table of the inn with a note saying "I'll be staying here for 3 more days, here is my payment."

I opened a garganta and stepped in it, appearing at the spot where I previously was. Since I had nothing to do, I just went back to my inner world.

"Welcome back~ your here more early than I thought." Amber ssai.

"Well some events happened, I'm sure you've seen them."

"Ufufu of course~ just in curiosity did you save that Kira guy because of kindness or did you save him because he was in the anime?"

"Both."

"Hmm why both?"

"In my opinion Kira's actually a good guy especially to his friends."

"I see, well you can continue to train now." Amber said as she snapped her fingers and the room started to change into the arena.

"Thank you." I said while proceeding to train my control over my shikai again.
