37 An obsessive maid appears

"Master? Is that you?"

Hearing the familiar voice, I turned around and saw Hikari there smiling, but that smile was anything but friendly.

"Oh Hikari good evening what are you doing out here late at night." I said with a smile, I was afraid that she might react negatively, I wasn't concerned about me since I'm stronger than her but what Reika?

She might try to harm her, so I tried to make a topic before she does. But what I wasn't expecting was that Reika suddenly gripped my hand tightly and asked in a scary voice.

"Claude-kun, what did she mean by master?"

Seeing her reaction, I was shocked but this wasn't the time to be spacing out so I answered.

"She's my maid, Hakari."

"Oh a maid huh, I see." Reika said while looking down.

"Master, you haven't introduced me to your friend." Hikari said.

"Oh yeah Hikari this is--" I was about to introduce Reika to Hikari but the former interrupted me, "No need to do it Claude-kun, I'll introduce myself."

Reika then went in front of Hikari and extended her hand "Hello Hikari, nice to meet you, I'm Reika Chibana, Claude-kun's girlfriend."

"Oh I see so your my masters girlfriend, he already introduced me but I'll do it again I'm Hikari master Kentaro's maid." Hikari then gripped Reika's hand and shaked it

To outsiders it might just be a cute moment of two hot girls shaking each others hand, but up close you could see that they were putting strength into the shake and Reika's losing.

"Okaaay now that were done with the introductions, can you tell me why your out here late at night Hikari?" Not wanting for Reika to be hurt, I went in between them and broke the handshake.

"Oh I just wanted to go out for a walk and on my way back, I coincidently encountered you two here." Hikari answered me.

"I see well then you can come ba--" I wanted to quickly bring Reika home first but she interrupted me again.

"No need Claude-kun, my house is just a few blocks away, you can go home with her." Reika said.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, you don't have to worry about me, I'll just call you if anything happens." Reika reassured me.

"Hm fine." I said.

Reika was about to go to her home but stopped and went back to me. "Do you need anything?" I asked her.

"Yeah I do, can you lower your head?"

"Sure." I lowered my head and Reika suddenly wrapped her hands around my neck and kissed my cheek.

I felt a murderous intent on my back but Reika doesn't seem to notice it, after letting go of me, she looked at Hikari provocatively and quickly ran off.

An imaginary red x appeared on Hikari's forehead, she thought "This brat..."

"Hikari? Come on, lets go home." I called out to her.

"Ah yes." The two of us walked back in silence.

Just as we were about to take a turn, I sensed several hollow's reiatsu behind me, Turning around I thought "Those hollow's reiatsu is coming from the direction where Reika went, although the chances of her being attacking is slim, I should get rid of them quickly before they do."

"Master? What's wrong? Why did you stop?" I heard Hikari's voice beside me.

"You go on after me, I got something to do." I said as I ran around the corner.

"Wait master!" Hikari said as she chased me to the corner but didn't find me anywhere.

"Where'd he go? No matter, I'll go check on him in the road earlier, I'm sure that I can find him." She thought confusedly before making a decision.

She rushed back to the road where Reika and I separated to look for me.

As for me, I used void stride to quickly arrive in front of the hollows and started to kill them all, as I was finishing the last one I heard a scream.

"Shit! That's Reika's voice." I cursed and used void stride to go towards the scream.

Arriving at the scene, I saw Reika on the air struggling.

There was a hollow in front of her that resembled a bear with its brown arm grabbing Reika and pulling her towards its opened mouth.

I immediately went in front of the hollow's arm and severed its hand.

"Rooooaaaaaaaaaar!" The bear hollow took back its remaining arm and road in pain.

I grabbed the falling Reika and landed a few meters away from the enraged hollow then put her down, the bear ran towards us and bring down its paw, intending to squash me to death.

I just slashed its other arm off, and used void stride to appear in front of its mask and slashed down before it can release another roar.

"Cl-claude-kun? Wha-what was that thing?" Reika asked seeing it was me.

"That was a hollo-- wait you saw it?" I was about to answer her but realized that she said "thing".

"Ye-yeah I could, but only the rough shape of it." Reika said as she started to calm down and walked up to me.

"How could she saw the hollow? When I first met her, I didn't sense any reiatsu on her." I thought.

"Wait if I remember correctly, people with strong reiatsu can rub off on others reiatsu, making the latter's reiatsu stronger.

"System that's correct right?"

[Yes host, even though normally two encounters with a person is nowhere enough to make them see the shape of a hollow, your reiatsu is just too strong and pure that made her just enough to see the outline of the hollow]

"Yeah thought so."

"Master! What happened here!?" Hikari asked seeing the damage.

"What?" I looked around and saw that there were small cracks and claw marks on the ground.

"Oh." I didn't know what to do in this situation, should I tell them the truth or not?

But I didn't dwell on thinking too much as a hollow appeared above Hikari and clawed at her. She wasn't expecting to be attack so she could only watch as the attack aimed at her heart.

"Hikari!" I appeared beside her and grabbed her waist then put Amber in front of me, blocking the claw attack.

I pushed back the claw and jumped back, letting go of Hikari, I used void stride to appear in front of the hollow and slashed down, splitting it in half.

I ignored the notification and went to check on Hikari "Are you alright?"

"Ye-yeah I'm fine." Hikari still in shock said.

"Claude-kun what was that?" Reika asked me.

"Hahh I'll tell you later, for now lets go." I knew that they will never forget this and will just keep asking me so I decided to tell them later, as for the mind wipe I'm not doing that.

I grabbed both of their hands and quickly ran home because I sensed several reiatsu quickly moving towards us.

The both of them weren't ready so they didn't resist much and just letted me pull them.

While we were running, I didn't notice that Hikari was looking at me with obsessions in her eyes while Reika was looking at me with love in hers.

Arriving home, I put the barriers down and said "Hikari, Reika you guys should take a seat, I'll explain everything."

The both of them nodded and sat on the couched on the living room and I went to the kitchen to fetch them water, going back, I gave the water to both of them and they immediately drank it.

I sat in front of them and said "Okay get ready, I'll start now."
