What's Alpha planning?

Ace patted her hair gently with his paw, looking at her tenderly. Nina wrapped her hands too around him for warmth. Watching her hands hold him tightly, Ace jumped with happiness inside his heart. The paleness on her face decreased gradually, and she sighed with relief moving her head on Ace's body.

Czar came with the dry grass on his back and was shocked to see the improvement between them. Nina was comfortably sleeping, and the wolf she was hugging was looking at her with love-filled eyes.

"Ahhhh!!! A visual I don't want to see again" Czar communicated his presence to the wolf mesmerized by a human girl.

"Spread the grass here."

Czar wriggled, making the heap fall. He obediently started spreading a thick layer of grass near them. Tala, who was bored by standing at the entrance of the forest, walked to them. "Why did you both make me stand there?" he barked.

"To let us know if anyone is coming back from the hunt." Ace responded.

"What? Even in human form, we can smell others. In werewolf form, it's 100 times efficient. Why do I have to stand there?"

"Just sniff and let us know what's the first smell you get."

"Blood!" he responded, realizing what his brother meant. His eyes darkened after the sniff, and a sense of thirst ran in his throat.

"Do you sense any other different scent?" Ace asked, gazing at him.

Inhaling carefully and deeply, "A wolf scent, but it isn't any of the villagers." Tala replied.

Czar and Tala immediately looked at Nina. "So, that is why you couldn't hurt her even when you are hungry," Czar remarked.

Ace nodded and carefully placed Nina on the brown bed, followed by covering her with it again. "I am still hungry, which one of you is coming with me."

Tala barked immediately, making Nina rustle and move. Ace's fangs flared, and his paws started scratching the ground as if ready to pounce on him. Tala's ears instantly flattened, watching Ace. Whimpering, he disappeared into the woods in fear.

"I am leaving her to you. Signal me, in case of any emergency or suspicious activity around." He jumped into the forest after informing that. Czar sat down, wagging his tails and looking around. In between, he glanced at Nina too, to ensure that she was asleep. He didn't want to scare, in case she woke up.

After half an hour, he stood and walked beside her, waiting for any one of them to return. He was also hungry, and having Nina near her was increasing the desire for blood. Deciding to wait for another thirty minutes, he dug the soil, sat down and strolled a few meters.

His patience was exhausted after an hour of their anticipation. Choosing to growl to ask one of them to come back, he walked towards the forest. He relaxed, sniffing Ace's scent running towards him. With happiness, he lethargically dragged each of his limbs to Nina.

As soon as he reached her, Ace jumped on him in excitement. "Thanks". Ignoring his gratitude, Czar rushed into the woods as only ninety minutes was left for sunrise. Sitting beside Nina, he rubbed his leg's fur over her cheek, making her smile. Though he didn't understand why she was smiling, he rubbed it again. She smiled widely and brightly, causing Ace's heart to race. He didn't know that a smile could begin that pleasure and enthusiasm to him.

After spending a few energetic and delightful moments gazing at her, his eyes fell on the broken lock. He still didn't understand what the Alpha would gain by hurting Nina. If he planned to upset his mom, it was understandable as they fought. Planting a human too was reasonable as he can't trouble the moonchild clan by himself. Doing so would make the whole pack enraged, resulting in a war.

Even though the Alpha is the leader of the pack, the people belonging to the moon line have been treated as the children of the Moon Goddess.

Revising all the legends he had heard from the villagers and family didn't help him. Since he was born after Andrew became the Alpha, he didn't know much about the Alpha bride.

He also didn't know if he should talk about that situation to his mom or uncle. Though his father might know about the Alpha bride, he wouldn't have accurate knowledge of it.

Ace's father, Paul Lopez is an omega(who converted because of the werewolf's bit). He is a wildlife biologist who was bit by a werewolf when he visited the neighbouring village on a full moon day. He continued his occupation even after becoming a werewolf. Just as Ace visits every full moon, he too visits or goes to the nearby forest.

As he was engaged in thoughts, the sun rose, and he instantly rushed to his room. The house echoed with the growling and weeping sounds from Ace's room. After few minutes, the door opened, and Ace was standing in a collarless olive green shirt and a pair of dark blue jeans.

Removing the broken lock from the door, we stepped towards Nina. She was resting beautifully in the hay bed designed by Czar. He chuckled to himself, thinking how she would react after seeing herself in that condition.

Stretching the bones and muscles that suffered because of the mutation, he went into the kitchen to make himself a cup of coffee. As he was preparing, he heard his mother and Tala enter the house. Quickly dressing up, his mom came to him asking why Nina was sleeping there.

Licking his lips and clasping them, he replied, "I don't know". It was an honest answer because he didn't think or know why she was trembling outside when he came from the woods.

" Maa, wake her up and ask her to sleep inside. If anybody sees her lying outside, they would think that we aren't treating her properly."

Jennie nodded. "Nina!" she feebly called. Nina turned to her right and muttered, "Five minutes, mom!" Jennie ran her fingers through Nina's hair and grinned at her reply. The pack started coming from the forest, but her heart wasn't allowing Nina to wake up this early.

Moving the grass covering her, she lifted Nina in her arms and placed her on the bed. The siblings giggled, watching no reaction from Nina. How could a person sleep without any sense?

"Maa!! I am leaving to the town to call uncle."

"Why?" she inquired, suspecting something as he even alerted the whole pack the last night.

"Nothing much, just a small matter," he ensured and left in his big black car.

"Good Morning Uncle."

"Good Morning Ace! Any problem."

"Yes, Can we come this week instead of next week?"

"Sure, No problem. Is everything alright?"

"I will let you know when I reach there."
