"Chapter 4- Coincidence?"

"I am Laurice Heinry, please take good care of me, Detective Evans-" she stopped talking as Evans turned around with his computer chair. "nice meeting you Laurice Heinry, from now on you'll be working with me," he smiled at her while playing his pen. "you-" Laurice paused, "you're the strange man I met the other day!" she pointed at him, 'strange? I guess she had amnesia,'

"I am Alexander Evans, you will be working with me now, don't call me strange again," he said while smiling forcibly, Laurice froze as she noticed she was angry from calling him 'strange', "you may start working now, please enjoy your work," he obnoxiously laughed. 'enjoy my ass, it's easy to say that you'll be giving us a pile of cases,' she turned around and walked towards the glass door as she reaches the doorknob. "you really can't remember me huh?" she heard him mumbled behind her, she glanced at him with knotted brows "Pardon?", "Oh nothing," he said turning around his chair to avoid contact, she left the room slowly, "Laurice Evans, that's a good name..."

"Good morning Laurice, the detective wants you to look at these cases,"

"Laurice, is the files ready? also, can you make me some coffee?"

"Laurice!!! I'm so sorry but can you take a look at this case for me? I know it's your first day but I have an important meeting to attend!!"

"Laurice!"

[11:08 pm]

'tick... tock... tick... tock...'

'just because I'm new you can already torment me...' she cried internally while looking at multiple cases. 'those bastards!' she hurried to look at multiple cases with her eyes flamed with determination, 'I hope Klein doesn't starve himself,' she laid her head on her desk while looking at the window. "seems like your slacking off," an obnoxious voice came out of nowhere, she glanced at him with her eyes all dark, 'man... did her coworkers tormented her?' Evan walks towards Laurice, "I assigned these cases for them, not for you, I'll scold them later," he leaned closer to Laurice's face who seemed to be tired, Laurice closed her heavy eyelids slowly as he rubs her head and caress her face. "I shall take you home then," he carried her in a bridal position without waking her, "I always dreamed to carry you like this," he playfully whispered to her ear.
