"Chapter 39- Runaway Klein"

Sol woke up lying on the sofa and saw Elista laying in an uncomfortable position, she noticed a teacup on the floor. "What happened," Sol mumbled as she held her forehead and noticed all of her bodyguards fell asleep on the floor, she kicked them on the leg and they opened their eyelids. "What happened you, bastards! what did you put in the tea!" she grabbed them by the collar as their eyelids slowly blink open. "I didn't... we didn't..." they mumbled as they passed out again, she growled as she threw them on the floor and glanced at Elista who pretended to pass out on the chair.

'We all got drugged, but who," she glanced at the door and slammed it open, seeing only a dark coat lying on the floor. She slammed her fist on the railings as it vibrates after, "Tristan!" she exclaimed his name as she walked back and forth in the room.

Elista slowly opened her lids and pretended to rise from unconsciousness, "what happened?" she asked while rubbing her eyes and looking at the lying guards, "Klein escaped," Sol said while holding her aching head while pacing back and forth in the room frustrated. Sol noticed Elista gave her a silent response, "is there something wrong?" Sol asked her suspiciously as her right eye twitched. Elista noticed her suspicion from the way she looked at her, "why I can't... remember anything," she pretended to punch her head below her palm with her hand balled into a fist. Sol grabbed her wrist to refrain her from hitting her head, "stop it," she said while looking at her while veins popped up on her forehead in frustration,

"we'll find the culprit soon, but we need Klein," Sol persuade her as her grip on her wrist tightened, Elista's eyes looked up to her and nodded.

'you dumb woman,'

Tristan carried him inside of his grandmother's mansion, as soon as he closed the door, Belinda came running towards him and paused her steps as soon as she saw Klein covered in bruises. "Klein," she loudly gasped in front of the unconscious body getting carried, she held his rough face as tears fell down from her eyes. "What happened," she raised her head to look at Tristan and crumpled the coat that was used to cover Klein's body. "Let him rest in his room first, and I'll talk," He said as he passed by Belinda, Tristan walked through the modern design stairs while carrying Klein in a bridal position.

"Tristan..." Klein mumbled his name, he froze during his step and looked at him with pity. "I can't forgive myself," he said to himself while continuing to walk towards Klein's chamber.

He lays his head on a soft cushion on his bed as soon as he finished bathing and aiding him, Tristan stood away from him after laying his head on the cushion, he was about to walk away from Klein's bed but he felt someone pull the ends of his sleeve. "don't go yet," Klein got up and pulled his sleeve to whisper him to stay, "okay," Tristan shortly whispered back and sat next to Klein who lay down his head on the soft cushion again.

"Why do you want me to stay?" he whispered as he looked at Klein shutting his eyes, "I need you," he said softly while smiling at him not knowing he caused huge damage to Tristan, Klein stroked his hand on Tristan's cheek and chuckled at Tristan's reaction. "Why aren't you saying anything?" Klein asked as he continued to stroke his flushed cheeks, Tristan grabbed his wrist and placed it on him as he lay down beside Klein. "It was... an unexpected attack from you,"

Both of them looked at each other romantically but Klein soon ended their eye contact because of embarrassment, "why are you hiding your face?" Tristan said smiling at Klein's red ears. "You're too handsome," Klein said in a muffled voice because he buried his face to a near cushion. Tristan cornered him by putting his arm where Klein is facing, as Tristan got his attention, Klein covered his face in front of Tristan who was on top of him.

"I'm on top of you now, what are you... gonna do about-" Klein grabbed his face tenderly and pulled him for a kiss until they ran out of breath, a small thread of saliva disappeared as their lips were apart. "How come you're acting as if nothing happened to you," Tristan said with a frown. "I don't want to remember it," Klein said while smiling.

"I don't want to remember everything that happened, I don't like to remember the past,"
