Chapter 70: New Beginnings

The ride home is short and quiet. When we pull up to the house, he bounces around the front of the truck. He scoops me up and carries me into the house and up the stairs.

"Now, to unwrap my bride."

He sets me down and unzips my gown. The dress flows down my body into a white fluffy cloud around my feet. I'm left standing in only my white lacy bra and matching panties.

"What're you planning in that head of yours?"

Raising a brow, he looks down at me. "I intend to take care of my wife's sore and aching feet."

Drake approaches the tub. He leans over to turn the brass knobs, filling the bathtub with water. Taking my hand, he leads me to the tub.
