The Little Kitten

-Main Characters-

-Zane (male) : father left when he was 8 years old. Since his father left him he had to help his mother pay the bills at a young age, when he was 10 he started dog walking for 15 dollars per dog, at age 12 he worked with drugs and pedophiles, and at age 16 he got a job at a restaurant. His mother would work night shifts so he wouldn't see his mother as much since she worked as a nurse for a hospital. Zane does not like going anywhere unless he has to be there, he likes to lay in his bed and studying the medical field.

- Max (male) : both parents were there for him as a child and they seem like a good family but his parents would fight a lot about small things, because of this he got frequent headaches and hates loud places or/and yelling. He mainly likes to go out and do stuff to make friends or just to get away from his problems. He had a good childhood other that that and works at a furniture store. Max like to help out his parents by not asking them for unnecessary stuff. He always puts others before himself.

Max's POV:

I walk out to my house as my parents tell me to have a good day at school, as I start walking to school I come across a black kitten that is in a small cardboard box. The kitten is poking his head out of the box, he looks around and leans against the box until it falls over and he falls on his face. I run to the cat and I pick him up and hold him in my arms, I think to myself and wonder 'I can't just leave this cat here, he will die if I leave him here alone'. I hug the kitten in my arms and get up from the ground. I begin to walk toward the school, I'm about to walk into the school when a taller looking boy. Around 6'5 feet tall, his hand is on my wrist stopping me from going into the school. The boy says "You can't go in the school with a cat you idiot". I look up at him and he immediately takes the cat from my arms and holds the cat by the extra skin like a mother cat would do to it kitten. I follow him to the ditch and I grab is arm very tight "you can't just leave him in the ditch, he will die since he is a kitten and not a cat yet". The dude turns to me and ask me "then what do we do?", I think for a moment but come up with nothing the next thing I know the cat is being dropped into my arms and without a word the freakishly tall person walks away. I don't know what to do so I follow him and with that i ask a ton of questions such as "where are you going? You can't just leave? Are you that heartless? You can't just leave me in the dark you know. Can you hear me? STOP IGNORING ME!?" Not even a second later from my outburst of questions. "Just shut up and follow me. Your giving me a headache, if I hear another word I will leave that cat to be snake food." I stopped talking and curiosity followed the boy until he stopped at a apartment building. He walked to a door on the first floor and used his keys to open the door. He walked in and I walked in behind the man, he looked at me and said "your very dumb to just follow someone to there house you know." I looked at him suspiciously and said in a questioning tone "your not going to do anything rig-" before I can finish my question the man interrupted me " ANYWAY The cat can stay here and you can pick it up or whatever after school. AND SPEAKING of school we have class in 5 minutes, we are going to be late." As soon as I heard this I put the cat very softly on the ground and I freaked but the man said "if we run we can get to school in 4 minutes, I don't see you as a runner though" I ran out the door and started running to school the tall boy was following me and caught up to me, I though he was just really fast but after a few seconds I realized I was getting slower until I came to a complete stop and put of breath. The boy stopped a few feet in front of me "get on my back you lazy idiot" I was confused but I got on his back because I was just not ready to run again, after 3 minutes we were at the school. I got off his back and asked him "what's you name I don't think I caught it?" He looked at me and said "get your cat after school or wait for me after school if you don't remember where I live, I have to go to the nurses office after school for 10 minutes so if you can't get to my house to pick my cat up then wait until I get out in the front office". As I try to absorb the information he just told me he walks away and when I try to find him it was like he disappeared.

AFTER SCHOOL

Zane's POV

I walk out of my 8th period class and walk to the nurses office. When I get there I take my shirt off and lay on the bed that is provided in the nurses room. The nurse (jake) then locks the nurses room and walks toward me, he puts on his blue gloves and pushes my pants just below my pelvis, when he gets there i wince. Jake then let go of my pants, he walked away and when he came back he had shorts and told me to put them on in the bathroom. I walked to the bathroom that was in the nurses room and put on the pants, when I got out the nurse examined my body. There is a good reason why I just walk into the nurses office and take my shirt off, and that is just so he can check if everything is alright with me. I don't do the best type of work and because of that I get injured quickly and those injuries aren't the small ones where you need a little Dora band-Aid, they were the type of injures where you need bed rest and bandages wrapped around your torso and knees. The painful ones. When jack was done he grabbed a bandage and started to wrap it around my waist, he did pull down my pants a little, he did up some medicine on whatever he was treating but I didn't see, damn I can't even see what he's treating. When he was done he told me "You need to rest for about 5 days at least, and tomorrow I want to see what's causing that knee pain you mentioned yesterday, ok" I sighed knowing that I'm definitely not taking a 5 day break from work just because I have some little injuries. "Yeah I understand, 5 days of rest and I already know I need to come in tomorrow. I need to go now" I said as I was putting on my shirt, when I was putting my shirt on I did feel a sharp pain from my torso, I ignored it and put on my jacket. I walked out of the nurses office leaving the nurse in there. I walk to the front of the school and a weird looking 8th grader was waiting outside. I ignored the kid and started walking to my house. The kid started talking to me about some cat, then it hit me this kid isn't a 8th grader, he's a high schooler who is a average height but to me he looked very small. I ignore him knowing that would irritate him, the next thing I know the kid is screaming at me. When I get to my house I unlocked the door, I walk in and look at the time. I realize I have about 35 minutes until I have to go to one of my works. I lay on the couch and the boy that was yelling at me not even 5 seconds ago is now holding a cat and standing right in front of the couch just staring at me. "What's your name?" I don't respond I just turn around and sleep, I don't care about the fact that I let a random kid into my house because there is nothing special in my house so it wouldn't matter. I fall asleep and when I woke up the boy that was once in front of the couch is now in my room and re decorating. I don't even ask him anything, I look at my clock that is in my room and notice it is 6:21. " did you turn off my alarm for work…" I ask to the boy who is holding two textbooks, he looks at me and says "yes, is it a problem. You were asleep and looked tired so I turned it off." I grab my stuff and change immediately, the boy in front of me just stares at me and when I take my shirt off, he grabs my arm. "You can't go to work! Your injury's." I yank my hand away from him and put on my white shirt with a tie, I change my pants and the boy try's to stop me but I just push him away from me, I put my pants on and put the belt on. I walk to my door after a grab a jacket, I'm about to walk out the door but the boy just blocks the door. I'm obviously irritated so I just grab his shoulder and push him out of my way. I walk put of my house and close the door rushing to my car, I drive I can't disobey my "masters" orders.
