Don’t leave me!

Max's POV

Zane was awake and already making a batch of pizza rolls, when I walked in. I guess it took me a while to get the supplies I needed for a proper meal. "Can you help me with groceries, I bought them with MY card so you should be grateful" I said looking at him standing in-front of the microwave waiting for the pizza rolls to be done cooking. DING! The food was apparently done and he didn't even give me a response, he just walked to the couch and sat down. I was annoyed but decided to put in the groceries all by myself. . . When I finished I set a new goal, and that was to put it all away. I started putting it away and I managed to make space for the food. I felt proud. When I was done I decided to lay down since my head was hurting a lot. I walked to the room I was laying in last time and laid down.

I woke up and walked into the living room. I didn't see Zane on the couch and when I looked for something to eat nothing was there. "Zane" I called out only to get no response, I walk around and can't find him. 'He probably left for work' I kept thinking, trying to ignore the fact that there was no food. I decided that I needed fresh air, and when I walk outside there was no color. Everything was dead, when I walked around, the grass was dead or there was just dirt, the sky wasn't a pretty blue with white cotton candy clouds, anymore it was grey and there was no clouds. I continue to walk until a thick mist fell down where I was walking, I wasn't able to see anything just grey. I started to panic, I sat down with my head in between my knees, the mist wasn't the only thing that was clouded, my mind was everywhere. Suddenly I felt nothing. And just as fast as the mist came it vanished, and it started to rain. I was wet, cold, and alone in this what seemed to be forever dark world.

I jolt up from the bed I am on and look around immediately. I get up as fast as possible and run to the living room, when I don't see Zane anywhere in sight I check the whole house and when I still can't find him I run outside.

When I'm outside barefoot I see him, I see Zane, I run up to him and hug him from behind. After not even a second I look up and realized that it's not Zane, I turn around and see him looking at me with a cigarette in his hand. "What are you doing?" He said in the same uncaring tone and usual, tears fill my eyes as I walk and not run to him and hug him. He puts on hand on my head almost patting my head, while the other one just holds the cigarette far from me. After a minute he says "we should go inside it looks like it might rain soon" we go inside and I sit on the couch covered in blankets. Zane is standing in the corner of the room drinking coffee just blankly looking at me. 'WHY CANT I TELL WHAT HE IS THINKING' I think to myself.

Zane's POV:

I wasn't able to finish my cigarette due to this person crying over something which i already know is stupid. I stare at him waiting for him to say something but he says nothing, so I decided to start the conversation. "Are you good now?" I say still staring at the boy who has piles of blankets on. "Yes, sorry for bothering you." He said in a way that made it sound like he was a child. I hate children and always will. "Are you going to explain what's going on?" I say trying to find out a little bit about this dude, "ohh umm it was just a nightmare i had, I thought you left me like everyone else. I'm sorry I just got caught up in the moment." He says as he's gaze meets the floor, in what I assume shame. I glance at him and walk away to refill my mug with more coffee. While I'm making my coffee I think about how I even got close enough to this dude, when I'm done with my coffee I look back at him and sigh "I'm here now arent I, you already know where I live so you can come back when u feel like your 'lonely'. You did buy a ton of groceries I'm not even going to use." I take a sip of my coffee before continuing "you also have family and a cat now, the fact you call yourself lonely makes no sense." I take another sip of my coffee and lean on the wall again. The boy looks at me with surprise and them smiles.

Sorry for not posting I kinda forgot about this 🤠 bur now that I deleted my social media for a break I think I have way more time for my story's which is a good thing ❤️ I might get a pet corn snake 🐍!!! Staar tears are coming up as well and if I pass these staar tests them I wouldn't have to take any more so that's a bonus. ANYWAY PLEASS COMMENT and like my story cause if shows that I'm doing something right !!
