The Twelve Houses and the Chaos

Before man or beast walked the Earth there were 12 Celestial beings. Their powers gave life to the world as we know it. Fire, Earth, Wind and Water. When they were satisfied with what the world has become, they rested and the dust they've left behind became the stars of the Zodiac. These celestial beings loved their creations wholeheartedly and as they've watched closely as Man---the first creation of Aries and Libra take care of the world. But they've realized too late that man of all their creations were not caretakers, but destroyers. They knew that they had to step in, as they could not stand by and watch anymore blood spill on the land.

One by one, each of the Celestial would take turns to oversee man's work. And for some time, there was peace. It was until Capricorn fell asleep on a flower filled field and an old man sneaked behind him and conjured a dark plan. He took something from his satchel and looked on his surroundings to see if anyone else is there, and when he saw no one he began to do the unthinkable. The man scraped a dull knife against Capricorn's skin to get all the golden stardust that he could, lightly so that the Celestial would not wake up from his deep slumber. And when he had enough to fill his bag, he left without a trace and was the first human to create magic. The purest magic of them all.

It was a Celestial's magic that could turn tar into water and coal into gold. But the old man used the dust to create a potion to change his destiny. He brew a potion that could make him young forever and power to create anything that we would want. He drank the potion, and when he did his youth returned to him. His wrinkled face was no more and his body followed. And soon enough, it's not only his age that he can change. For he could do so many things and create many things. It started of with a healing spell, a spell that would eradicate any sickness known to end the life of man.

He wanted the power to cure his loved ones... but then something changed when a loved one died and his new found power could not do anything to stop it. He became wicked and turned and created malicious spells and began to sell it, may it be for good, or evil.

News and rumors of a man who can conjur a potion like the Celestials soon spread out from village to village. Soon, it became known to different countries as merchants from different nations seek for the man.

A potion for love. A potion for health... and then there's a potion if you wished for someone's death.

And this trickery remained hidden for more than five hundred years. Until Scorpio, the wisest of them all noticed that this single man never turned to ash, and was able to walk on the Earth like a god. His suspicion began when a trade was happening from his peripheral vision. Something that looked so similar to the stardust created by Capricorn's power.

The Celestial tracked the man and with his power he swifted and jumped to the tavern that the man was staying. But when Scorpio arrived, the man had already fled along with his things.

Scorpio immediately shoots himself up to the sky and called for all the Celestial creatures. His anger and confusion resounded through the Earth. Lighting and thunder and storms that man has never seen went on for days. His anger stilled and man hid and prayed on their homes for many days, begging the Celestial to stop.

The Celestial in rage called for the ten other beings, his venum still poisoning the plants of the Earth withering the plants and their crops and water.

"It's time we cleanse this world." Scorpio announced throughout the twelve houses, Taurus was beside him---they were destined pairs. And then the strongest one of all, Taurus said. "If a single man can do this to us, the ones who has the same evil heart as him will follow his footsteps."

The Celestial beings eyes glowed and they raised their hands, to vote if every man on the world deserved the punishment. Everyone agreed, but one.

"This is genocide!" Virgo disagreed and wished for the man who never dies to be punished instead of the millions. Instead she proposed that they come down from their houses and take away the power that was stolen from them.

And so they did come down, pair by pair. They flew to the house where the undying man was found settling and with Leo's power they burned the house to the ground. When there was nothing left but dust and the celestial beings no longer feel a pulse or a feel of life, they knew it was time to go.

Sagittarius was first to go up the sky, as Cancer stayed to cleanse the land. The water Celestial opened her palms and soon blessed water gushed from the ground. Her eyes glowed like a diamond and soon the ash filled ground had flowers blooming all around.

All agreed that their work is done, so they thought.

A monster appeared. A pungent and horrible creature made of tar, fire and coal. It reeked of dead bodies and destroyed everything on its path. The wicked man was standing on the head of the vile creature, laughing manically at the blood bath.

His body was covered with fresh blood and his eyes was pure dark. Veins protruded from his hand and arms, and his once clear tunic.

Aries and the other beings were appalled by the man. It was evident how many humans and animals he needed to slay to create the creature. For only the Celestials can create life without sacrifice, without the same power that they have... blood is needed to create this monster.

"Before you face me, know this and understand!" He shouted proudly while his hand holds a black and white orb that controls the creature. "I've gathered all the hatred and disgust from the people who hates all Celestial beings. And their hatred is concentrated on this monster as well as their will for celestial beings to disappear from Earth! They sacrificed their lives to get rid of all of you! And I won't break my promise. Once you have been killed by this creature, you will never go back to the stars again. Your bodies will turn into man and crumble like dust!"

The battle began and it lasted for days and the celestial beings perished one by one. Because when Gemini slashed the creature with the sheer force of his power--- the creature it became two, and when they've slashed it again it became four. Until the battleground is covered with those vile creatures. And the heart of those vile beings sang curses to them, for they have been betrayed by the ones they took care of the most---Human beings. The madman left the celestial beings to die while laying on the ground, and his creations walked along side him. Dragging their feet on the ground and sparring no life. As Aries took her last breath---she stared at her soul mate whose body turned to dust. Libra, the love of her life... the moon and her star is gone forever.

Yet she doesn't have time to mourn. She tried to get up, but it was no use. Using the last of her strength, Aries used her remaining powers to collect and contain the remaining power that's left from the dying celestial beings.

The venom of Scorpio. The burning fire of Leo and lastly the blood of Taurus.

On her dying breath, Aries called for the only human being that she trust. Haris. A man with no richness, or power and land. But a man of pure heart.

"This will help you when the time comes. When man needs it most." Was Aries' last breath before she crumbled into nothing.

Though he did not know what to do, Haris hurriedly picked up the vessels and took it home. He ran as fast as he could and away from the shuddering battlefields. Soon the bodies of the celestial beings created a field filled with flowers and humongous trees---which would be later known as the forest of the Zodiacs.

Haris, on the other hand followed through the request of Aries. And when he did, blessings poured on his life. And on his children and his children's grand children. They hid the relics in different countries and each and every one is heavily guarded. For Sagittarius still appears when they're dreaming, reminding them that the enemy might return someday.

When Haris died, his children took over the duty of guarding the sacred relics. And with this they're formed an association whose sole purpose is to guard the relics that Aries bestowed upon them.

Years has passed, and humanity was at peace. That was until something unexpected arrived at Timothy's front door.
