A Toast To Death

Third-person Point of View...

After Stephen and the others rode to the place in the carriages and on the horses, a maid by the name of Catheryne showed the teens were to get ready for the Grand ball in their favor. Not knowing where the night leads, they were all tired because the journey was quite eventful for Stephen who learns two of the teens are missing and the king will not be happy once he learns for the legends to be changed or to know their fate.

Nick's Point of View...

As the seven of us met in the hallway towards the ballroom, we discussed the possibilities of what tonight may be like. Wiz of course explains every detail while he leads us into the ballroom. As we enter the ballroom I saw some rich people looking at us with their plastic smiles and other sympathies.

"How faker can their smiles can be?" Tren asks.

"Stay the whole night and you might see." Replied Prince Wiz.

After hearing what his highness has said the king with fellow lords and ladies made their way towards us with Stephen following.

"Welcome our most honored guests I'm happy you all can make it tonight to this Grand Feast in the Honor of The Undefeated. I hope everything here is to your liking and I want to be the first one want to welcome you Vandermouth I am King Alexander. Do you remember guard Stephen here? He will be the one whom the gods have selected to watch over you during your travels. The kingdom is very grateful to all nine of you. Thank you." Said the king followed by a round of applause from his puppets.

"Please let me introduce you to fellow lords and ladies of this kingdom. Here to my immediate right, we have lord Charles with his wife lady Margaret and then we have lady Isabel along with lady Josselyn. Next, there is lord Philip and lady Thea, lord Alistar, lord Oliver, lord Thomas, and lord Francis and finally, we have lord Simon with his wife lady Jacquelyn. Ladies and lords, we have the Undefeated. Prince William why don't you introduce your friends to the court after we take our seats." King Alexander said.

"Yes, your highness," said Wiz as he and the rest began taking their seats.

Prince William's Point of View...

"Hello I am Prince William and my gift is a tribrid," I said through grit teeth. He knows how much I hate when people call me William. And every chance he gets he never forgets to remind me of it.

"Hello I'm Trent and I do not know what my gift is." Said Trent in a voice no louder than a whisper which immediately makes me feel better in a second. I then flash him a small smile, then there is that pink shade on his cheeks that makes him adorable.

Beside Trent, there is Jossie who looks like she is about to throw up. Nick who sees her troubling face grabs a hold of her hand with a small smile.

"Hello my name is Jossie and my gift is the fire element." She said then sat down.

Knowing how Nick hates the king I fear he might say something upsetting so I stand up and introduce him. "Your highness I'm sorry but Nick cannot speak, so I will be introducing him," I said making Nick shoot me a grateful look.

"Why can't he speak?" Asks lady Thea.

"On his way to the palace, he swallowed a bug to which he was allergic so he lost his speech," I answered.

"Oh my, you poor thing." She replied.

Nick was about to answer her so I spoke up," his name is Nick and his gift is the curse of Hercules."

He then gave her a nasty look. "What does that mean, the curse of Hercules?" Lord Francis asks.

"Unfortunately, we don't know," I replied...

"Hello my name is Rexta and my gift is the water element," Rexta said as she interrupted me.

"Lovely to meet you Rexta," said lord Philip staring at her lovingly.

She gave him a disgusting look, then replied "thank you."

"Hello my name is Luca and my gift is the air element," Luca said quickly making Kehlani start laughing.

"And finally I'm Kahlani and I was gifted the power of mind control you perverted sickos," she said disgustingly as she stare at the lords. And you she said pointing at the ladies you are a bunch of .....

"Dinner anyone," I said interrupting her speech.

"Yes very well," said the king. "It's a pleasure to meet you all I have one more very important guest but it looks like she is going to be very late so why don't we start the first course."

While the servants were bringing out the meal I look at Stephen who sat directly in front of me looks as timid as a mouse.

"Are you alright Stephen?" I ask him.

"Yes Prince William," he stuttered.

After dessert, the king looks at the time and looks at a servant who stood beside him.

"Where is Cacilie?" He asks him

"She sends a letter stating that she will be late my lord." He replied.

"Ok thank you, Jefferey." Said, Alex.

To pass the time the king began telling tales of his adventures making Trent looks at him with his big adorable eyes, Kehlani and Nick bored, and Jossie looking more scared than before.

Soon after a couple of hours pass when both doors of the ballroom flew open. A lady dressed in red came in.

"Welcome Cacilie, how was your journey?" He asks while the strange lady takes a seat at his right hand.

"Uneventful," she responds.

"Excuse me all enjoy your desserts while I have a word with Cacilie for a minute," Alex said making Trent and the others start laughing.

King Alexander's Point of View...

"Have you bought everything you need?" I ask Cacilie as I lead the blind recontour to my study.

"Yes your highness," she replied,

"Do it now everyone is here."

"We need to be closer to them to tell the tale and the legend and the windows must be open so the full moon reflects on the wall of legends." She answered.

OK then let's go back to the ballroom.

As we enter the ballroom everyone went silent I make my way to the windows and I opened them. Just as she began chanting something she fell to the ground holding her head. Soon I rush over to her to help her up she screamed.

"You insolent fool!" She shouted at me. "Can't you see that they are two of them missing... I am the only blind person here and I can see that."

I look at Stephen as I help her to a seat. Like any dead person, Stephen's skin paled.

"Where are the others?" I ask angrily.

"I...Don't...Know...Sir." He replied cowardly.

"Guards!" I Yell.

"Yes, my lord." Replied Joseph the head guard of the castle.

"Take him away," I said pointing at Stephen make the guest to their rooms and let them retire for the night and meet me in my study right at this moment," I ordered. look for the others and mumbled in his ear. "Do not let them escape or be out of their rooms and send the rest home." Send them home.
