First Day

The car had just parked in front of a school about five minutes before Jizelle turned to her sister Alya. Alya who was sitting almost motionless in the car blinked, and without removing her gaze from the school, asked "What?" as calm as her voice could go. Jizelle knew Alya was not thrilled about the school. She didn't want to switch schools but she had to as they had moved.

"Any comments" Jizelle asked expecting the worst.

"My previous school looked better" Alya said almost immediately. Jizelle smiled, "if you keep thinking in the car you'll get late." Alya rolled her eyes.

"Later," she said as she got out of the car.

"Keep out of trouble" Jizelle said as she watched her sister. Alya's face lightened up, "Can't promise that." She replied back. Jizelle smiled as she watched her sister walk away.

....

"Something caught your eye?" Radica asked as she stood behind him. A firmed line formed on his forehead. Radica examined her leader who had his eyes fixed on someone. Following the trail of his gaze she saw it was a girl dressed in all black and a messy ponytail.

"New prey?" Radica asked eyeing him. Xavier tilted his head to her, " Did you do what I asked you to?" Radica expression turned serious, "Queen bee refused your offer."

Xavier sighed, that was called for. After such a long war, he suddenly wanted a truce. He should've know she would never agree. He rubbed his chin and turned his head back to the school entrance.

"Why is she wearing so much black? Even I think it's fishy." Radica said behind his ears.

She had turned crazy again, thought Xavier. "Find something to do" he told her and worked down the stairs of the den. Radica continued standing near the window where Xavier was. The school was at least two miles away but with their vampire sight they could see it as if it was only a few feet away. Her eyes widened as she saw the face of the girl Xavier was looking at. "Allison's still alive?" she whispered.

....

Alya sat on the second row wondering why the class was empty. Was she early? She hated being early, it made her feel like a dork. She felt uneasy, like people were watching her. The hair on the back of her neck had been standing since she left the car. She had heard rumors of the school having creepy creatures like vampires and werewolves. She wish she didn't have to attend the school but she was already there and she was going to roll with the flow. How hard could it be? She was wearing an oversized black hoodie with an inscription saying "Antisocial teenagers". Just a warning for people to stay away from her and so far it worked. Not a single soul had spoken to her, and she hoped it would remain like that for the rest of the school year.

Two lovers walked into the class. She rolled her eyes and threw her hood over her head. She wasn't going to watch bullshit on her first day. It was over her eyes till she started hearing kissing sounds. "Neither am I hearing bullshit" she whispered to herself as she walked out of the class.

She stood at it's entrance and looked at the students. Where the heck are the teachers. There's no order or anything keeping the students in one piece, everyone just did as they pleased. She saw a mirror in the hallway she walked towards it and realized her ponytail was messy. She loosened it. She was about to retie it when the band cut. she frowned and looked at herself in the mirror again. Jizelle had said she dressed like she was attending a funeral. The hair on the back of her neck stood again. Someone was still watching her, she could see the girl watching her from the mirror. She had on dark, heavy make-up. Alya turned around but didn't see her. She turned back to the mirror but the girl was gone. She wasn't creeped out , she just shrugged and walked back to the class. "I'm telling Jizelle that this school got ghosts."
