"Magic lesson?" repeated Rosetta with raised eyebrows as she and Melva were walking back into the woods, still keeping up the spell to make them invisible.
"Yes. I need to be able to use magic to protect myself from supernatural creatures like them," expressed Melva, holding her bow up to be prepared to shoot at any time.
"Magic is not something anyone can learn, Lady Melva," reminded Rosetta.
"I know that," insisted Melva. "But you said I am something, so I might be able to use it if I know how. Will you teach me?"
They reached a clearing where a few of Corbett's people were standing in guard, searching for them. There was no way of knowing whether they were werewolves or sirens. However, there were over five of them and Melva could only shoot arrows one at a time. Unless Melva could shoot them all at once, it was impossible for them to keep being invisible before the sirens started singing.
