Deathfall

"Awesome. Are you treated somewhat like a king here?" commented Rosetta, whistling in awe after they entered the door, walking down another tunnel before reaching Deathfall.

Melva understood where Rosetta got that idea from. The two guards that were standing by the door showed Alden so much respect that it was as if Alden was their king. It was very different with Vance when he was in Nightwind. He was also respected, but as a nobleman, not as far as bowing to him as if he were a king.

"How would I know what they think of me?" answered Alden, returning her question with a question.

Alden seemed not too keen to reply to anything Rosetta said to him, since mostly everything that she said did not need any replies. Rosetta clearly was fond of teasing him, probably because Alden had been very talkative and approachable now that they were allies.
