Sona
How had she gotten roped into this? She'd only asked why Akeno and the rest of Rias' peerage left so quickly only to discover that Red invited them to a movie night. She'd finished most of her paperwork, and Tsubaki rudely invited them to the event. But, of course, the presence of Red's credit card may have had something to do with it.
They had already found a box set of the original Godzilla movies with a copy of Shin Godzilla along with the CGI movies. A little much for a movie night until Koneko pulled the Vampire Knight musical. Then they hit the proper musical section.
One of her new additions, Saji, left with Kiba to gather the snacks while collecting every movie that caught their eyes. Red clearly wanted a good movie night, and Sona was happy to find everything he needed. After gathering the ingredients for bloody marries, she used a little hypnosis to get past the cashier and left.
"Ufufu president Sona you seem very comfortable using another's credit card," Akeno said.
Sona winked at Rias' queen. "Red asked you to prepare a movie night, and with my help, you have gone above and beyond. He'll be pleased by our collection." Sona said.
They made their way to the edge of town to Red's manor. Even now, Devils continued to build it up towards the sky. It was a mansion built up endlessly towards the sky. She felt his aura pour out of the home. His essence covered this manor in a thick haze billowing out, announcing his presence in their city. The power radiating from the manor practically yelled, here lies the home of a mighty dragon.
She approached the house cautiously; numerous spells surrounded the manner with innumerable effects. Sona knew that a single thought of opposition could turn the force of this place upon her. Another thought occurred to her then. This manor was young, and magic grew in strength over time. How much stronger would the defenses of this place be after a hundred years? What if Red contracted with magicians skilled in enchantment? They could direct the myriad of spells through the creation of an artificial consciousness.
Saji, seemingly oblivious of the home's defenses or uncaring and opened the door. Sona pushed him out of the way of a ball of Phoenix flame. In the hall of Red's manor, Ravel Phoenix glared at them with cold eyes.
"What are you doing here, Sona Sitri?" Ravel asked.
Sona felt immediate irritation, and the clouds above began to move. Not all of Kuoh was affected; other powers resisted her in Japan, but there were no disputes around Red's manor. A cold drizzle began to fall, giving Sona the advantage. None of the spells within the home contested her move.
"We're here for a movie night. I doubt we'd bring snacks to invade a home." Sona said.
"Ravel, do you know where the TV room is we need to set up," Akeno said as if Ravel hadn't tried to burn Sona's pawn with a fireball.
Ravel's eyes twitched, and for a moment, Sona thought she'd start a fight. "There are plenty of indoor shoes for everyone; I'll show you to the sitting room," Ravel said.
Sona called and ordered some pizzas for a little extra food. Lately, she had become hungrier, and Red's appetite was something else.
After their group had changed shoes, Ravel led them through a hallway where the walls glittered with gemstones to a comfortable room. "Oh, a projector set up," Kiba said. "They're becoming quite popular these days." Sona approached the nearest couch and sat down, and felt like she could drift off on the spot. The leather couch had the feel of handmade work. She didn't know when Red would find the time to make it but enjoyed it regardless.
"Is this lamp real gold?" Akeno asked while staring at a golden lamb encrusted with rubies. Most rooms had lamps like that or were utterly bare, most likely dependent on the time Red devoted to redecorating. Still, she noticed his proclivity to build from gold.
"Yes, and those are real rubies don't even think about taking anything. If there is a ruby out of place, you're the first one I'll blame." Ravel growled.
"Hey, we aren't here to steal from a member of our peerage. Red invited us here for a movie night. He'll probably be here with the president soon." Kiba said.
Ravel looked mollified for now. Sona thought this was the perfect time to put Ravel to the question. "Tsubaki, why don't you take Kiba to the kitchen to prepare the dip." Sona turned to Rias' peerage. "Please go ahead and go pick up the pizzas I ordered for us." The peerage members soon left her alone with Ravel.
"Ravel, your virginity was taken by Red, and I know I helped, but you aren't innocent. I can smell it on you still that intoxicating scent." Sona licked her lips and winked at the Phoenix to let her know she wasn't safe. Sona pushed up her glasses, causing a lens flare. "You aren't acting like a hopeful lover; you're acting like an expecting mother." Sona prided herself in her ability to remove obstacles before making a single perfect strike. Her attention to detail and observation of the board as a whole made her good at chess. Without an audience, Ravel was less likely to put up as much of a fight.
"You don't know what you're talking about. I was raped by Red, and he's going to marry me in recompense." Ravel shouted.
Sona watched their fun with Ravel a few times with Rias and even her sister Serafall. Honestly, her sister was angrier that she missed out on the fun than that it happened. Drug-fueled orgies and devils went together like peanut butter and jelly.
Ravel shivered as Sona dropped the room's temperature while banded blue and silver armor began to form around her body. A frilly blue miniskirt appeared mid-thigh as the transformation began to take hold. She felt a pair of blue wings stretch free from her back, and frost appeared on the golden lamp. She could feel her magical power rise by dozens of times and continue to climb. A visor replaced her glasses, tinting the room blue, and filled her mind with probability calculations.
"I was there, and unlike Red, I remember everything," Sona replied, her voice laced with power. "You don't want to get in trouble or let anyone know about your dalliance with Red. We aren't humans. No one will care if a noble lady of the pillars is a virgin on her marriage day. Just seduce your betrothed beforehand, and no one will be the wiser. But this isn't about your lack of virginity, is it." Sona said.
Even young devils only have a 1 in a 10,000 chance to become pregnant per cycle. Multiple attempts increase the odds along with fertility potions that double or triple fertility. 3 out of 10,000 still wasn't good odds. Yet as her visor continued to pour information in her head from the numerous enchantments around the room to Ravel, she understood data doesn't lie. There was life within Ravel now, and already its power roared out to her.
Sona clenched her armored fist as icy blue demonic and draconic power welled up at her fingertips.
Ravel was weak; she could crush her and secure her mate. The armor finished forming, and Sona felt invincible. Her power continued to climb ever higher as a staff made of blended mystical ice and the same metal as her armor formed with the Sitri crest on its head. The second she decided to strike, all of the enchantments within the manor turned on her.
Ravel smirked at Sona's discomfort. "All that power, but unfortunately, this place recognizes that I hold a piece of its master inside of me. I wonder what Red will think when I tell him you tried to kill his child." Ravel said and placed a hand over her womb.
Sona searched her feeling, but her dragon instincts only told her to kill Ravel or subjugate her. That was a clue.
"You tried to poison him. I have it on tape." Of course, Red had also already seen it, but she didn't need to know that part. "If I show it to him, then child or no, Red will never love you."
Flaming devil wings erupted from Ravel's ack doing precious little as Sona's icy magical power put out the Phoenix's fire as quickly as appeared. The room was already covered in ice.
Akeno chose that moment to walk in with the pizzas. "Ufufu, did I miss out on a heartfelt confession of love and hate.
…
I wanted it more than I've wanted anything. The treasure that could bring my power to the next level. Taking it with Rias at my side and my host of angels would make it all the more meaningful. I could feel it, and Rias only increased my chances. I knew she did. Finally, a rare secret boss had appeared bearing the power of truly dark power. All we had to do was put on a bit of pressure without overwhelming the vampires right away.
The power of destruction flew over my head while I blasted out with minuscule fireballs.
With every exchange, my control over the fire element increased. This place forced me to condense my fireballs even further or risk the dungeon's area effect snuffing them out. To make things worse, the castle itself tripled the cost of fire and light techniques. The armor most of the knights wore either halved or quartered damage from a fire or light-based attacks. Two of my most well-used elements needed to be retooled. Fireball had to be condensed to ludicrous levels. It even led to the creation of a new B-rank skill.
I called it Claymore, an evolution of my light and fire masteries. Golden swords appeared around me, shining their light on the vampires. I marked my targets and pointed at them one by one. The knight raised their shields, thinking my skill to be mere light-based. My claymores hit the shield, and the hundreds of tiny fireballs within them exploded violently. Dragon fire expanded even as the force of the castle's weaponized environment struggled to contain it. By the time my flames were extinguished, the knights had been burned to ash in their armor.

While it appeared to be a stabbing sword made of light and could double as one, I also took my inspiration from a claymore mine. My change in firepower isn't my only adaptation to this place. In the castle, I've noticed my speed has dropped considerably. Once, this dungeon only weakened my speed by 30%, but that number has more than doubled in the castle. About 85% of my speed has been lost to me. It has to be my dragon nature; this place fights to get rid of me as if it knows I'm after its greatest secret skill.
We arrived at the torture chambers ' destination after fighting our way past the vampires guarding the basement. "Father, I found it," Azula chirped.
Rias covered her mouth at the sight of our target. "That poor thing we have to help him." I put a hand on her shoulder before she could get any closer to it.
"Don't mistake its lack of movement for weakness." I met Rias' eyes before we leaped away from a swipe of massive claws. The power of nature radiated from the being dense enough to hold even old man winter's breath at bay in the heart of its power. Five spears of light impacted the creature's chest only for its flesh to absorb the light. Large hook-like claws slashed through my breastplate, ground against my skin, and only rebuffed by my aura.
It dove at me, mouth agape aimed for my throat. My fist struck the beast armed with mortal telekinesis hitting the beast with the continuous momentous force of a train. But the creature's flesh rippled like water throwing off the damage until my follow-up struck. Before, I wanted to see if it could handle a real punch from me; now that I knew it could take some blows, it was time to have some fun.
Blow after blow rained down on the werewolf even as its flesh rippled and healed between blows fractions of a second apart. Accelerate, one of my primary speed techniques, forced my punches to reach for my normal frequency. Instead of blocking, the monster slashed at me with its claws searching for purchase. Fighting such a durable opponent had become too exciting to pass up to chance to use more skills. Aura of Flame erupted, bathing my body in flowing dragon fire, leaving my body in a red outline standing out in the black dragon's flame.
My punches came noticeably faster even as my cold-resistant armor melted away. The werewolf's fur began to burn away as we fought. Its healing stumbled when my flames licked at its flesh. Black armor began to encase my body materially similar to my black dragon scales. I could feel my strength begin to rise with the armor's appearance, and I knew that my Root of Black Dragon's skill had activated. The cold of this world crashed upon me as if it wouldn't allow a single dragon to exist in it.
I punched the werewolf again, leaving a burning fist imprint in the monster's skull before dropping out of the form. "Aurum, get the blood sample." My second-born angel struck and pulled a syringe full of blood from the creature. Then I grabbed the creature by its furry pelt. "Curse, Grudge, Enfeeble," then I let the werewolf fall as my status effects hit him.
"Wait, what are we doing next? I thought he was the secret boss." Rias asked.
"Obviously, this was too easy for it to be a secret. The blood is only a component needed to summon the real secret boss." Azula said. Rias frowned and gave Azula a warning glare. My first angel suddenly smiled reproachfully. "You have to admit, Rias sama, this was too easy for my father; he looks like he's about to come down with," Azula took a moment to think. "battle blue balls," Azula said.
Rias laughed at that. "Well, if that's the case, then as your mother figure, it's my duty to take care of that," Rias said.
Libra groaned, and Mona just giggled while extracting a sample of her own. "What are you doing with that sister?" Libra asked.
"Nothing, I just thought it could be useful, you never know," Mona said before stashing the syringe in her bag of holding. I shook my head at her antics. She seemed to have figured it out, but my lips were sealed. There was a chance it wouldn't work.
Rias walked over to me and bumped me with her hip. "So, you can get stronger. Riser isn't going to stand a chance in hell." Rias laughed at her own joke even through the fur-lined hood and face mask. "I'm scared that he's going to give you even worse battle blue balls than the werewolf. You know who's great at taking care of blue balls?" Rias asked.
"Your mother," I said.
"Me," Rias said and puffed her cheeks up.
I smirked at her while equipping another set of luck-boosting herald set armor. My body quickly shimmered with a nice gold and crimson set of battle armor. Even my light skills had a 50% boost from this set. It was necessary to get the skill I wanted. Some users had to redo this secret boss hundreds of times before they got the right drop. Having Rias with me increased my chances to 1 in 10; my armor set became 3 in 10. While that wasn't the highest, it was still good.
We marched into the throne room, no longer holding back against the vampires. My claymores rained down, exploding through the castle. Giant batlike monsters fell in flames as we burst into the throne room.
Twelve knights dressed in crimson armor with golden armor and golden swastikas on their chests turned to face us. The King sat on his throne, an unusually pleased look on his face. His queen beside him had been reduced to a corpse. Two fang pinpricks on her throat dripped with only a few drops of blood. To raise his strength, the King took the queen's blood. "How interesting they're already resorting to cannibalism."
"Welcome intruders to my throne room. I'd offer you a drink, but I just took the last drop." The King said with a grin on his face.
"Mother!" a young voice screamed.
The girl was a beautiful young woman with a doll-like face and elfin features. Her crimson eyes dripped with tears while her nose twitched and her mouth watered. The child was conflicted; clearly, she was hungry, but her father had just killed her mother. My nature as a black dragon fed on her feelings of betrayal, sipping them like a fine wine.
I stepped forward by these knights were slow and weak. 95% of my speed was lost due to the slow effect of this dungeon, castle, and throne room. Which was why these vampires were especially sad. I leaned heavily on Accelerate for diminishing returns.
When the final knight fell off my blade, the King stood from his throne, and his queen fell to the floor.
"Wow, you really are a bastard. Draining them and forcing them to fight me was cold." I said.
The King snorted. "They were my wife's family guards while they lived; I couldn't claim her blood. Do you know what it means for a pureblood to drain another to death?" The King said with a smirk. "I animated them just enough to convince my wife they still protected her."
"How could you? I thought you loved each other." The vampire teen said.
"She planned to use this moment to drain me after I sent my guards away; she became bold." The vampire licked his bloody lips. "I'll always cherish my queen's shock when her guards stood there and let me drain her. For a moment, she believed they had betrayed her for me." The King said.
I clapped my hands. "Bravo, you managed to prove you are one cunning leach," I said.
"Impudent retch, I am the king of this land, and you will show me the respect I'm due." The King shouted.
"Oh, king leach, is it? Well, my apologies, your majesty. I'm just unsure if you'll really be a challenge." I thrust my bloody sword through the stone ground and rested my chin on it. "After all, you had the balls to sacrifice your wife for power, but your daughter is untouched. Or is she an after-battle snack?" The King stared at me as if I was the monster and his daughter gasped.
"Father, no." The daughter whispered.
"Be silent. I will not harm you, my child." The King said. A laugh escaped my lips, and I picked my sword up. Aura of Flames erupted around my body, and my golden armor glowed until it was red with heat.
The King lifted his hand, and the spears of the knights lifted off the ground before shooting at me. I deflected two, but one rammed through my shoulder, another my thigh, and the last my chest. Pain screamed across my body, and Azula moved in. She thrust her veil only for the vampire to match it with a bloody red aura. The two powers clashed before the vampire slashed with his claws ripping through Azula's armor and into her flesh.
"I smell such delicious light radiating off of you sweet enough to sink my teeth in." A ball of destruction smashed into the vampire's face throwing him off of Azula.
The destruction ate away at the vampire's face to the bone, but in the next instance, he'd fully regenerated. It looked almost like time had reversed.
I removed the spears one at a time. They weren't deep two had hit thicker parts of my armor and failed to penetrate. And the one that did only managed an inch at most. Finally, Aurum punched the vampire with a fist of holy flame. The vampire screamed before turning into a swarm of crimson bats.
Quickly the bats mobbed Aurum and lifted him in the air. Then, the vampire king appeared within the swarm, fangs inches from Aurum's neck. I had no choice.
Nameless shot from my hand and impaled the vampire through the head. Then, dozens of light arrows fired in rapid succession.
The vampire ripped my blade from his head a screamed. A massive black and purple hand shot out of the shadows and slapped down the light arrows. Ice spread across the ground wherever the darkness from the massive hand touched. This was not the skill I wanted. Spectral Arms of Asura erupted from the ground by the hundreds and took hold of the giant hand.
Enough spectral arms to smother the giant black hand surrounded the massive dark construct. Only when they gripped the massive hand, they slid off it. Holding the mass of darkness was like trying to catch a greased pig.
I gathered the strongest light spear I could in my hand. Waves of power radiated from the construct forcing the vampire to step back, and even the man's daughter hid behind a curtain. My construct blasted forth at preternatural speeds impaling the hand and sticking it to the wall. I groaned out a sigh feeling the stamina drain from using it here.
"Impressive, but what are you going to do about the second one." A massive fist smashed me down flat on the ground, and crimson bats exploded from the man, blinding everyone. The vampire pointed held nameless against my throat. "This is the power of a pure bloodline." The vampire king proclaimed.
Libra shot an arrow in the confusion striking the vampire king in the chest with the syringe of werewolf blood. I burst out laughing as the vampire king's body suddenly began mutating growing brown fur. The bats screeched, and the vampire king tried to retreat. I snatched his leg, tripping him.
Light erupted from my body, pushing back the black hand. The drain was getting to me, my breathing grew ragged, and my aura moved sluggishly. Finally, the hand raised up to crush me.
Before the hand could slam down, Rias blasted it with destruction. I charged after the vampire king. He'd already crossed the room and reached his daughter. The King's face had already begun mutating when he opened his mouth; it was full of terrible fangs. His daughter screamed as the powerful beast fed on her.
"No," Aurum shouted and struck with a sword of light and fire so well merged that it held a solid weight. A barrier of winter's breath appeared around the vampire as he fed. The transformation continued to take form as tears of pain fell down his daughter's face.
Aurum continued to slash at the barrier screaming with his angelic wings exposed. He stabbed into the barrier, pushing against the ever-strengthening force of winter's breath. Aura of Flame surrounded me as I pulled at the power of Root of Black Dragons. The world screamed in protest as I took on the mantle of a dragon in human form. My own power multiplied dozens of times even as the world fought against me.
"Move," I pointed at the vampire as a beam of pure QI blasted forth. The vampire king pushed his hand forward, and a barrier of red bats appeared around him, tanking my attack. The force from the impact threw Aurum across the room, and parts of the castle collapsed. The vampire stood up unbothered by my attack.
A grin stretched across his face revealing a mouth of jagged fangs. Sparks of crimson electricity flew off his body, and a terrible darkness gathered in his hand. It was the beginnings of a skill I'd only heard about, the S rank skill Chaos Control one of the less volatile dark skills in existence. Only one other person had acquired the drop due to its rarity and the newness of the secret.
Slowly a black aura mixed in with the vampire's, boosting his power beyond his current limits. The vampire's skin turned black, and its flesh began to shift like melting wax. Finally, his form changed into a black fleshed batlike demon with a tiny glowing furnace in his chest. It threw its head back and roared as dark and crimson auras raged within him.
It moved faster than even my Accelerate could keep up with. We swapped hands punching and kicking at supersonic speeds. His speeds continued to climb, forcing me to run my already taxed regeneration beyond even my own limits.
Rias launched a ball of destruction, and I kicked him into it. The darkness of the monster's aura quickly absorbed the ball of destruction. It yelled, and crimson lightning erupted from its body. A barrier of crimson gathered around its body before shifting, becoming form-fitting. Status effects didn't seem to work or the power of destruction. Then the monster began to laugh.
"I, King Lucius Grimaldi, have become the most powerful vampire to ever exist." A crown of bone and flesh grew from the King's scalp. The power that had been wild a moment ago became dangerously controlled. I sensed his power growing even higher.
9 claymores appeared around me and fired into the vampire. They impacted his barrier and exploded violently. I pushed my hands together choosing to forgo my normal half-hearted fireballs. A single orb grew between my palms surrounding what was left of the explosion-riddled throne room with rays of black aura. I no longer had any reason to hold back.
"Dragon's Breath," I yelled and pushed my cupped hands forward. Heatwaves blasted out from my attack, lashing out and melting stone as my attack impacted the area where the vampire fell. The castle gave a shudder before it began collapsing in earnest.
I turned to the others. "Get out of here. I'm in no mood to hold back anymore." Father winter's breath beat down on me, but my Aura of Flame didn't just beat it back this time. Instead, waves of my aura fought back, burning against the force of this dimension. King Lucius flew out of the ruins of his castle with rage in his eyes.
"Don't lose, Red," Rias shouted while my angels dragged her out. Mona tossed my sword to me, and I caught it.
I uppercut the King up through the castle, where I followed him, shattering the ceilings above. Then, with no reason to hold back, my strength began to climb to my maximum. I had never known how much stamina restraining myself took.
The vampire growled and delivered a hammer blow to my armored head. I saw stars for a moment before regaining myself. Blood spilled from my lips, and the vampire raised its hands and screamed. "King's Decree," a rudimentary black laser of gathered QI, blasted me point-blank. While it was crude, it was also compelling.
I held up my hands and blocked it with my own aura. Since he wanted to play this game, I'd oblige him. Holding out my hand, I gathered a massive ball of QI and threw it at him just as Rias and my angels crossed the draw bridge. Aurum embarrassingly held the man's daughter in his hands.
"Your attack missed. I don't know why you thought that would work." Lucius said.
My QI ball tore through his castle before exploding with black flames. Soon the castle itself caught fire as the stone it was made from melted before my dragon fire. Smoke rose in the air, thick enough to blot out the moon above. Soon the man's castle would be little more than a pool of molten slag.
"I have destroyed your home, and my son made off with your daughter; after I kill you, my victory will be complete." I felt a slight spark of life lingering in the daughter. With time it may be possible for the girl to recover.
I held up my sword and swung it, releasing an arc of darkness and telekinetic force. The vampire smirked and absorbed the darkness, only for the telekinetic force to knock him back. His eyes widened when I began to slash with my sword cutting without touching him.
Throughout this fight, I've experimented to see what works on him and what doesn't. Telekinesis knocks him away, but it doesn't cut through his barrier. WHILE FLASHY, large QI balls were too slow, and he wouldn't even block one to save his home. The vampire had happily drained his wife and daughter dry for a powerup. Light would be adequate if not for the cost and the vampires seeming immunity to it. That left me with a single option. I put my sword away and put up my fists.
Flight took me close, and we exchanged blows again. We exchanged blows under the moonlight, and I began to figure out the vampire's strengths and weaknesses. He was slow to feint aimed low.
Finally, it was time to take advantage. I feinted low. Then bumped up my speed with more Accelerate and smashed him down with a haymaker. A beam of QI followed up my blow as I forced him into the fiery inferno that was his castle. The flames raged as we fought to my advantage. With my own flames all around us, my speed was no longer restricted.
I threw him through a wall into another room as I beat him to death. The vampire looked around, and I glanced at what he was looking at. A painting of his wife, his daughter, and himself posed hung from a wall. By the girlish furniture, it became apparent that this was her room. "She wouldn't sit still no matter what we did until I promised to read to her after." The vampire said.
I placed my foot on his chest and created a full-sized fireball in my hand. I had concentrated on it as much as I could while maintaining its stability. "Invader, what's to become of my daughter?" Lucius asked.
"My son will most likely take her as his wife," I said and fired point-blank. A fiery explosion overtook the world, sweeping away what remained of the castle. When my vision cleared. The vampire's body had become a wilted thing. I assumed my skill had forced the monster to sacrifice most of his blood to survive.
Taking a syringe from my inventory, I stabbed it into the vampire's chest and withdrew that last of the vampire's power.
Once drawn and put the syringe in my inventory. A tiny black ball of energy floated out of the vampire king's corpse. I snatched it up immediately.
