"I am the spirit of the god that was once worshipped in this temple," it finally hissed, its voice echoing off the crumbling walls.
Yu Holea's eyes stayed sharp. "Do you know a boy around ten or eleven years old?" she asked.
The spirit chuckled darkly, the sound sending a chill through the air.
"Yes," it whispered. "I know him. I have already eaten his soul."
Yu Holea's lips curled into a small, cold smile.
"Is that so?" she said softly. "If you don't hand over the boy right now, I'll exorcise you on the spot."
The spirit let out a loud, mocking laugh.
"You're overestimating yourself, mortal," it sneered.
"I was once a god, praised by all. I have more power than you could ever dream of."
Yu Holea chuckled back, her eyes gleaming with confidence.
"And now, you're nothing more than a joke," she replied smoothly.
"No one remembers you. You're just a bitter shadow clinging to an abandoned temple."
