[Chapter 25] title

Artoria's character is so hard to write. Or maybe I'm just a poor writer, I dunno.

Anyway, let's start the chap before the electricity goes out again.

Alex and Eresh could be seen sitting in front of a campfire, the latter sitting on the lap of the former.

"Umm... Alex?" Eresh asked the boy while trying to start a fire. They weren't using their supernatural powers.

"What is it?" He replied.

"I don't think this is a good position to be in when I'm trying to start a fire." She said, trying to concentrate on the campfire.

"Oh." He nodded at her words but didn't move. Why should he?

Finally, after a very embarrassing process, Eresh managed to start a fire.

"Phew!" She breathed out a sigh of relief and turned back to the white-haired boy. He saw her smiling, not an ounce of embarrassment.

That's when Nero arrived.

"Umu! It seems the fire is ready." She chose to ignore them and focus on the fire instead.

"Yeah. It wouldn't have taken this long if someone stopped hugging me."

"You loved it, though."

"Hmph! How can you tell?" She didn't believe him. He had never read their minds, with or without consent.

"I dunno. It's just a feeling." He replied and got back up, helping her up afterward.

"Anyways, do you have the meat, Nero?" Eresh decided to stop thinking and looked at Nero.

"Mhm." She nodded and gave her a bag. It was packed with all sorts of meats and sauces.

"Okay. Let's cook." Eresh said and started to look through the bag for ingredients.

After arguing about what to cook for a while, they got to work.

(A/N: I have no idea how meat gets cooked, so I will just time skip. Sorry.)

After a few minutes, they were eating their hamburgers.

"This is so good," Eresh said, finding the meat they cooked to be great.

"Umu." Nero nodded. Maybe they should cook their meals instead of just creating them?

"Agreed." Alex also agreed with her. He will try to work on his cooking skills from now on.

A certain blonde king would certainly like this. A particular Archer would also most likely like it. He loved housework, after all, no matter how much he denied it.

After eating(devouring) the food, they decided to tour the island. It was still 3 P.M after all.

Tossing the backpack to Alex, they started to explore.

"Hmm~? What's that." Nero said while pointing at a piece of stone under her feet. They looked manmade.

"What was your Luck stat before you became a human?" Alex asked. Did their collective Luck manipulate destiny?

"B," Eresh answered, crouching down to inspect the stone.

"A," Nero replied, backing up to let Eresh do her thing.

'Mine should be even higher with all those items I made with the Luck Attribute.' Alex thought. Their collective Luck had definitely manipulated destiny.

"This has some weird texts written on it. Alex, can you give it a look?" Eresh said after looking all over the stone tablet.

"Sure." He nodded and took the tablet from her, inspecting it. He had the passive [Multiversal Language Translator] skill, letting him read, write, and speak any language.

The tablet explained a great kingdom, how it fell when people with bat wings appeared, and how they were forced to retreat to this tiny island with the sacrifice of their king.

"I think our relaxing camping trip will become a treasure hunt instead," Alex said after studying the tablet again.

"What is it about?" Eresh asked.

Alex explained to them what the tablet told. After learning about it, they were in high spirits to find the ruins of a lost civilization.

"Forget the rule. Scan the whole island with your eye now." Nero said. Eresh agreed with her.

"I was about to ask for permission to use it. Lemme see..." He chuckled before scanning the whole island multiple times.

"Found it." He said after scanning the island for a minute.

"Follow me." He said to the girls in front of him before summoning the Yamato. He used it to cut space and teleported them to another realm.

'This place is weirdly similar to Shirou's Reality Marble." Alex thought. He had tested Shirou's Reality Marble without him knowing. He was a pretty good mage after being a serpent.

"Outsiders!" An old fellow said with shock. He used his large horn, signaling everybody inside the realm.

"Not even seconds passed before thousands of men and women appeared in front of them. They all had deathly pale skin, black hair, and gray eyes.

"Who are you three?!" An adult man stepped up and said.

"We are, uhhhh." Eresh couldn't find the right words. She thought all of them to be extinct.

"We found an old tablet outside this realm, explaining an old kingdom. Alex here used his powers to force us inside this place. We were merely looking for fun." She settled on that explanation after a few incomprehensible words.

The adult man gestured for the old guy to come near him. Whispering a few words to the ancient fellow, he turned back to Alex's group.

"Can you show us how you entered this place?" He asked them.

"This sword," Alex said and took out the Yamato from its sheath. The sword had become one of his favorites by now, having thousands of copies stored inside his Treasury.

"T-This!" The man almost jumped in surprise. "One of the legendary swords!" He shouted.

"Do you have more weapons like this one?" The man said to Alex.

"Yeah. A lot of them." Alex said. He didn't see why he should keep this a secret.

"Come with me!" The man said and started to walk through the crowd, signaling Alex's group to follow him.

Alex could sense the respect these people had for the Yamato, which made him surprised. This one was the newest copy, being made just hours ago. It hasn't even been used yet. It didn't have any history.

Following the man, they found themselves at a temple. Inside the said temple, there were four sockets for four, what appeared to be, bladed weapons.

'Interesting.' Alex thought.
