"It is here, honey." Rick screamed.
She hurried out of the kitchen to the living room where two guys were dropping a large box. She waited, impatiently, for Rick to finish signing the delivery slip and open the box.
"Come on, Rick!" She danced around the box. "Open it already."
He chuckled. "Where is your patience, love?"
"I left it in the kitchen."
Finally tearing the seal away, he brought out the very first copy of Guns Down.
"It is here." She said in a reverent whisper.
"Yes, it is." He cracked the back cover and handed it to her.
Curious, she collected it from him and and smiled at the sweet words.
To my lovely wife, waking up next to you is enough inspiration for me. I love you, Rosie Ann Walton.
She turned and wrapped her arms around his waist. "You never fail to turn my heart into mush."
He smiled. "I hope I never do."
She raised herself on her toes and curved her arms around his neck. "You and me both, sweetheart. You and me both. Where should we celebrate?"
"How does the bedroom sound to you?"
"Just right."
