Diana's point of view

As a result, I was required to go on a date with Mr. Alex. The man was someone I had never heard of before, but he seemed to know everything about me. I was awestruck and intrigued by how he managed to accomplish all of this.

My anger towards Adam stemmed from my growing suspicion that my feelings for him were only one-sided in nature. During all those years, I had this fantasy that he was looking out for me.

He abandoned me with the man.

As if I were unimportant.

We walked to the limo, which was, in fact, a limo. Guards were following him around like shadows everywhere he went. And cars swarmed around us as if he were some sort of minister or something!

In the backseat of the limo, I was seated next to Alex. "I will make you happy," he said as he glared at me.

His words immediately drew my attention. "what? "What exactly do you mean?"

I was convinced I had missed a few of his words. After all, we've only just met.

"I promise you that I would do everything in my power to make you the happiest woman on the planet," he said, curling his lips in assurance.

"I am not a woman yet," I said as the words slipped out of my mouth.

I felt embarrassed as I made a fool of myself, so I played with my hair strands.

He looked at me with narrowed eyes as if to say, "what? However, you stated that you were married a couple of days ago, and..."

I blushed as I looked out the window at the other people. "I'm a tomboy, to be honest with you. I've never been in a relationship. In addition, my husband appears to be completely disinterested in me."

He took my hand in his and squeezed it. "Please don't touch me," I said as I yanked his hand away. "I have a husband."

He reasonably expressed regret, saying, "I'm sorry. I'm at a loss for words. My words may come across as strange. But I'm so taken with you that I'm willing to go to any length to have you as...."

I screamed at the driver, telling him to "stop the car right now."

The moment I tried to open the door, he pulled me close to his chest and tightened his arms around my waist, saying, "Are you insane? You must first hear what I have to say."

I huffed and continued hammering his chest with all of my resilience. "Please leave me alone now. I am not a product that you can purchase with your hard-earned cash. I can't cheat on my husband, and it is impossible for me to be your mistress." I screamed at the top of my lungs, so loud that it could deafen anyone.

Trying to free me from his powerful muscular arms was a challenge.

Then he burst out laughing, and it was as if he was genuinely cracking up from the bottom of his heart, which I found surprising.

"Who said I wanted you to be my mistress or even that I wanted you to cheat on your husband? Diana, you're kidding me! It appears that you are naive." He couldn't stop laughing.

"Then what did you mean, and why did you choose me?" I asked, my eyes wide with astonishment.

"I meant marrying you," he said as he drew closer to me and whispered in my ear.

I swallowed and cleared my throat. The man was extremely handsome, gentlemanly, and filthy wealthy. Between him and Adam, there was absolutely no comparison! Adam was good-looking and moneyed, but he was not the same as this man. As if he were some sort of Greek God! Or was he a fallen angel, albeit one with a stern and rigid demeanor, serious expressions, and dangerous eyes?

I coughed a little. I thought I was going to choke on my salvia. He rushed over to me and handed me a glass of water right away. Yes, there was a small refrigerator in the limo! "Please take this."

I coughed and gulped until I was no longer coughing. "Thank you," I said as I sucked in oxygen into my lungs. " I honestly believed I was going to die."

He chuckled, saying, "Okay, I didn't mean to use the word in this manner. But I truly appreciate each and every minute that passes, and I prefer to be straightforward in my approach."

I cut him off, saying, "Can we just put this conversation to a close?"

"For the time being," he said with a wink and a nod.

I had no idea why or how I managed to keep a smile on my face and avoid jumping out of the limo. It's as if fate decided to put me to the ultimate test.

The limo came to a screeching halt, and Alex emerged from the car and took my hand in his. We entered through the front door. I adored the location; it was a fantastic restaurant, and no, he did not reserve the entire place for us. Fortunately, but I was confident that he would be able to pull it off if he wanted to.

He possessed considerable wealth and authority.

"I've heard a lot of good things about this place. But I never had the opportunity to make it here." I mentioned it to Alex when we were seated at our reserved table.

The man nodded and took a look around, saying, "Yes, this place is completely booked every day. It's extremely difficult to get a reservation."

It was a giggling fit, and I covered my mouth with my hand as I said, "no, I didn't come here because it was so expensive."

He chuckled as if I had cracked a joke on him.

I explained with my arms raised as if I were on a stage performing as an actress. "Sure, you're aware that it's extremely, extremely expensive. Take a look at the surroundings around us."

And as I was looking around, I noticed Adam and a lady in one of the restaurant's corners with their backs to me. Her back was turned to me, so I couldn't see her face. Adam's face, on the other hand, was visible to me. He couldn't stop himself from laughing. I never saw him burst out laughing from ear to ear like that.

I locked my gaze on him. I wasn't able to move my legs for some reason. It was as if I had lost my ability to breathe and as if my heart had ceased beating!

Alex shifted his gaze to the direction in which I was looking, and then he said, "I knew what you were thinking. That is why I stated that he is not head over heels in love with you."

My cheeks were flushed with tears as I cried out loud. I really wanted to go after them and fight him, as well as find out who she was. For God's sake, the place was extremely expensive, and Adam never asked me to accompany him on a date to a place like that. Then why was Adam dating another blonde woman in this place after only two days of marriage to me?

I was taken aback. I made the decision not to confront them. But I wanted to get Adam's attention at our table, so I did something different.

I turned my gaze to Alex, and then I asked him if we could dance here.

"Would you like to dance?" he investigated, narrowing his eyes.

Upon receiving my nod, he asked with a wide smile, "would you like to dance right now?"

In order to reassure him, I focused my attention on the word that came out of my mouth. As if I were challenging myself or attempting to prove to Adam that I am a woman capable of dancing, dating, and attracting the attention of other attractive men who might be interested in marrying me.

Alex explained, "Well, this is a public place, but..." he continued.

I was expecting him to say something along the lines of "I can't ruin my image." However, he whispered something to one of his bodyguards after snapping his fingers. I didn't seek clarification.

Then a distinguished gentleman entered, and he greeted him warmly, saying, "Mr. Alex has arrived in my restaurant! What a pleasant surprise!"

"Yes, I am here on a date, honestly," Alex said as he shook hands with the man. "With Miss Diana, of course. And I am well aware of the rules of your place, including the fact that dancing is not permitted here. As a result, I would like to make you an offer to become a partner in this restaurant."

The man's eyes widened, and his hands trembled, but he couldn't stop himself from laughing like a fool, "my partner! Oh my god! Sure."

Alex took out his bank cheque and wrote down ten million dollars before handing it over to the gentleman.

It took me by surprise. I had no idea that a man would go to such lengths just to make me happy for an hour or two! I even checked my body and thought to myself, "I'm not that beautiful."

Afterward, it was as if Alex had overheard what I had just said to myself and said, "you are like a pure diamond. To be successful, you must have faith in your abilities."

In the next moment, he reached out his hand to me, wrapped his arm around my waist, and began dancing with me. I felt like Cinderella, and he was a charming prince, which was exactly what I needed. I didn't do anything other than follow his lead in the dance. I had the sensation of flying like a bird. He had a great sense of rhythm and was an excellent dancer.

He didn't take his gaze away from mine for even a split second, and I was instantly drawn to him as if his eyes were magnets that drew me closer to him.

Yes, I had never received compliments before, and yes, I had never felt that I was loved before, and perhaps this was the reason for my happiness at the time. Immediately, I realized that Alex's presence in my life had shifted something within me. However, it is not love.

I turned my head towards Adam's table, hoping to catch a glimpse of him looking at me, but the blonde lady was nowhere to be found.

Following our mutual gaze, Adam rose to his feet and took a step closer to me.

"Can we leave now, please?" I expressed doubts.

However, it was too late. Suddenly, Adam appeared in my face and pulled me towards him. "What exactly do you believe you are doing?"

"How could you even dare to yell at me?" I said, scoffing. "I saw you with her!" I exclaimed.

Adam mumbled, "her?" he couldn't help himself. "Please allow me to explain. s "he is...".

I, on the other hand, didn't want to hear anything. "Thank you so much for a wonderful evening," I said as I reached for my purse. " But I have to leave at this point," I said to Alex and ignored Adam.

Alex attempted to dissuade me by saying, "but where are you going?"

Then I shrugged and said calmly, "Unfortunately, I'm a married woman. I'm not allowed to date you until after my divorce."

I was taken aback when Adam said, as if the words had just slipped off his tongue, "we will get divorced after all, as planned," as if they had just tripped and fallen off his tongue.

It was at that point that I went completely unconscious.
