Chapter 24: A fight Confirmed

"So you are telling me that you pissed people off," Gramps said, clarifying, and simplifying what he said. He had heard the story now three times because he could not believe it.

He knew about the situation at his school as his two granddaughters went there. He had to know where he was sending them to, or mainly there parents.

He nodded, "I would not say that word specifi-"

Gramps cut him off, "I can say what I want, but what I get is that

Eader confirmed his thought, "yeah."

Gramps laughed like a lunatic, "haha, perfect, now you have a reason to train better," smiling crookedly.

While he said thay, he walked over to grab a purple sword which Eader had the bases off.

However, he was mad as he had to use this as he is too weak to use his proper sword. He hated that he said that.

"Ok then, this will be your test of this training session, now stand up and let's begin."

He stood up, as Gramps told him to do so. He then got in the stance, with the wooden sword and Gramps with the violet sword. Then Gramps started attacking him with a flurry of slashes, they pushed him back, but despite this used the X block.

. However, this is what Gramps wanted, since this was a test he had to surprise him. After ten minutes, he then changed his technique and went for a surprise blow behind him, with such speed that it even left a magenta trail. But Eader blocked it.

Good at least he blocked.

But what startled him was that Eader did not even turn around.

What the…

He then unleashed a flurry, doing it for a repeated fifteen minutes, doing them at the low corners too. Eader's breath was increasing in speed but he could keep up.

Gramps laughed proudly and scaredly, "ok then let's move on then."

The punching machine was shown in two colours: quartz white and ruby red.

It was very beautiful, the metal shined of as the sun pointed at it the same way Gramps did the surprise strike. It was smooth with no sharp edges and had the bag connected to a metal rod and the red bag hanging sternly from the rod.

It was tiny compared to the whole mechanism. What Eader had to do was smack the bag continuously. He had to do it multiple times, sometimes it takes a few minutes it takes half an hour (this one time happened to Eader had to do it for one hour, it was painful and he had to repeat it).

The slashes were giving perfect connections of the bag, which Gramps nodded with satisfaction. Then Gramps wanted to play a prank so he made a no rebound setting but before he could put it on, Eader hits it.

The way he did was with a spring stance he used his push forward using his obliques to push him forward and using the arm of the momentum, smacking it. Eader was in so much concentration, he did not realise he hit.

Gramps was beamed at him. Then he stood up in a good mood, walking over to the baseball machine. Eader who was still in shock, just processes what happened.

Omg, I actually did i-.

He gets smacked by the ball in the chest.

Crap.

He starts running, avoiding three balls that came for him, "haha, the real fun begins," the man laughed.

This guy is acting like a villain from whatever.

His legs moved rapidly but not enough to dodge all of them so he used the sword, given to him, to deflect someone, but that was easier said than done. He had some that raced at phenomenal speed and others that were snails.

He smacked all of them, the slow and fast ones. However, the slow ones distract him a bit too much that he does not notice the fast ones.

Come on, think. What about dodging the slow ones?

He then started deflecting only the extreme ones, the lazy ones he noticed he could dodge them easily, he kept on running trying to solidify his theory. A jump over this. A duck over that. But Eader tripped, not paying attention to the surrounding area.

Come on.

He used his hands to propel himself, but it failed, so he just fell, and was pinned to the ground. Not only that but, he had many balls pelted at him.

He rolled and waved like a wizard doing a magic spell. It did get rid of some, but he still got hit on the face. One hit his head and started bleeding.

God, ouch! That hurt. But what do I do, ouch?

Then he saw a small stone as big as a quarter of a height from him. He rolled like an armadillo and bumped his head like a fool. He placed his clean sword into the soil, and catapulted the heavy mineral at the balls, protecting himself. He got up and got himself ready.

Nice.

Nevertheless, he was back at defending, avoiding the slow ones and smacking the fast ones.

He smiled like he accomplished something, then he frowned.

Did I forget something?

To answer the question, yes, yes he did, what you may ask?

Bonk!!!

Gramps smacked him on the right butt cheek, leaving a red rash mark.

He lost all his composer and ran.

I am doing a tactical retreat.

His "tactical retreat" led him around the other side of the garden (more or less).

He did a 180 swipe, cramping one of the obliques of his abs.

Ow, why does it hurt?

He concentrated again on the balls, in addition to looking at the surrounding area. Then a thought came to his mind.

How do I win exactly?

This made Eader give a different facial expression making Gramps sneak attack him. However, Eader utilised the trick of what he did at level one. He saw a mid-large shadow show, and he knew it was him so he turned for a block, only to realise that he was never there. It was a jacket, Sunny's jacket.

What the…

At that instance, Gramps smacked him on the leg. This, however, gave Eader the indication of something, so he used the non smacked red leg to trip gramps over.

"Ooooof," a childish voice was heard, and Eader saw the little girl sunny, but before he could process the balls. They had a full on clash with him. He got a few at the body, which was better than the head. He used his arms to block, making it hurt like hell. Sunny made a run, but Eader could care less.

At least I know that Sunny is in this game, and survival came first.

Eader was excited as he had trained with Gramps for a while but it never got this intense.

He chose the right decision too. The balls were flying at him at 40 kph, and there were no slow balls. He just turned level 3 into a boss battle.
