Chapter 56: School matters

Eader entered the school building hoping for no huge wind up of him saving Evalynn. They were had a test, surprising some of the students as it was very early in the year. It was a to see how much you payed attention. Eader got the highest marks in his class.

He was proud of that but this caused him to get known. He wanted to avoid that so he made an excuse, leading to Samuel being at the top of the class. That was two days before everything went haywire. It got attention from the whole school. He had been standing still as he was thinking about it, glad that he was not in the conversation form everybody.

"Oh man, look out," somebody whispers it, it was an irrelevant side character, with curly hair. He spoke to somebody else and finally realised why he had been left alone after he beat Adam.

Crap, no, why am I getting looks?

"He beat Adam," Eader twiched his eye in rage, people got scared from that and he face palmed himself.

He realised there were about two and a half minutes to go until the ancient bell rang.

He shook his head and started moving.

Adam is not the person that's strong, he just got lucky with his special power. That acid is strong but how he used it was just weak. If he trains technique and how to use his power.

He gave a worried face.

I am going to lose.

He enters his class on time and finds Jennifer and Emilia, both around Samuels table, talking to him. Eader forgot to tell him about yesterday, he has forgotten many things he has to do.

When they found him they went straight up to him, screaming before he could say hi," where are Mythra and Evalynn?" Emilia asked the question, getting straight into his face, Jennifer right behind her. He sighed and got a breath," I don't know," shrugging his shoulders as an extra. He got a grumbling with a sinister glare from both girls.

Samuel stands up and comes to the rescue," ok, let's calm down, maybe he does not know where they are, so it's no point pestering him," Eader nodded his head with that. Jennifer sighed, and Emilia frowned in disbelief but nodded.

"Fine, but when they come back and ask them, and they say you did know, just saying, you will get a severe concussion," murder was in her eyes when she said the last phrase. The bell rang and she left.

Then the other girl moaned," where could she be?"

Eader knew she was talking about Mythra, which asked the question did she see Evalynn as her friend. He put the thought aside and sat down and put the thought aside. At lunchtime, they were at the concrete ground. There were many places you could be.

Either in the canteen; the luscious green and natural field; the courts filled with hoops tennis court and a volleyball/badminton net and the concrete grounding, The a field was a station on the right side of the court and in front of the ground and the canteen and many doors which lead to the concrete ground. The floor itself was fairly bumpy, but flat enough to sit.

You can tell that they did not have enough money to make this thing smooth.

He was with Samuel, which was ok, but then there were Jennifer and Emilia, who were on his right, on the silver bench. It was normally cold but since the sun was shining on it, its rays were making it warmer and comfortable to sit on. Samuel, however, was standing up.

He just talked to him about random things, as they did not know each other's interests as they were separated by a guy called Adam. Speaking of Adam, the guy was living his day. After Eader humiliated him and lost his girlfriend, he just hung out with the two guys: Peach and the other guy. The girl was also with them but wishing not.

They did not know that she betrayed them for Mythra, they thought she took advantage of it. They were truly impressed by that and started planning to do the same thing. Adam used to have more people talk to him but now not so much, he became less popular and hit the ledge above rock bottom.

Eader, ironically, saw him walking through, laughing with his friends. He was happy to see it as he hoped he would not be depressed after it, but he had no guilt beating the guy up, kinda. Eader remembered seeing an advertisement on the train here, he asked," do you play video games?"

This got the attention of Jennifer, who was still talking with Emilia about girl stuff. Samuels lightened up, "yes, I do, I play the game, super mash bros!" This was the one on which he saw the poster, he replied nicely," yeah, I know it."

The girls heard the raised voice of Samuel, Emilia said," you are happy about a video game, you sound like Mythra," this made Eader chuckle.

She stared at him," what's so funny?" she said in an angered tone. He replied in the same way," well it is a bit funny that posh girl Mythra, would like video games."

She kept the conversation going," well you see, she can't…" Eader and Emilia started to argue. Jennifer sighed, and walked up to the other side of Emilia. She sat next to the end of the bench to Samuel, who sat down. She started a conversation," they always fight, don't they?"

Samuel turned his head to them from to her face," yeah, who knows why, though," she nodded her head. She chuckled," and this started from talking about video games," she looked back at him, moving her eyes continuously.

"Yeah, you probably find it stupid people playing video games," he said, embarrassingly, with his head stretched back towards his head. She replied, swinging her legs," no, not really, I mean I do play some."

This enlightened him a little bit," what games?" She answered straight after, "mash bros."

Samuels raised his voice "really," the conversation took place. Then while the two argued they saw both Samuel and Jennifer talking, and saw both of them laugh.

They gave blank faces and looked at each other.

But before they could cultivate a plan, two girls and two boys showed up. They looked familiar to Emilia, but Eader had no clue who they were, he was sick of bullies at this point. "His there," said the girl, who was the leader, to Eader's depiction.

"Hi, Mandy," she said reluctantly. This made Eader feel curious about the people. He looked at all of them. He asked Emilia," who are they?" This offended her in a way so she replied instead, which was fine with Emilia

. "My name is Mandy crotfield, and I am from the Crotting C.O," she said with all her pride, and Eader did not want to be rude so he said," yeah, I know them," enthusiastically but fake. Mandy felt proud, but Emilia used all her might to not laugh as she could tell that he had no clue.

The other girl interrupted the two talking in the background," hi, what are you two talking about?"

This made her be the spot of attention. Samuel looked at her, hoping she replied, she did," um, about stuff." It was a bland answer which made her keep pursuing," well, what type of stuff?"

It really started to annoy Samuel, and make him nervous as his last experience with random people would get him in trouble (even Eader). He replied this time nervously," well, we were talking about this guy called, *input random famous guy or girl* have you heard of her?"

She nicely responded with a smile, "no, who is she?" This made Jennifer tell what was happening, so she retaliated," oh, some singer, but what's your favourite singer?" She said it back moving her body over Samuels lap.

This made her tell it was not gonna work, so she backed off," oh, just the usual," she walked back. Then Mandy took out the big guns," where's Mythra?"

So that's what she's after.

Emilia replied," I don't know," she tilted her head to Eader, who took time to realise that she was asking him too," no clue, I don't know where that bug is." She laughed at the reply and the lot on the bench stared at him.

"Well, don't you like her?" This made him tilt his head and shrug, then he did not answer, and stood up and walked away. One of the boys moved fast and pinned him to a wall that was behind him, luckily it was smoother, unluckily it's brick so it hurt a bit.

"Where do you think you are going, it's rude to just walk away when somebody is talking to you," he gave a stupid trying-to-intimidate smirk, it really just made him happy he stood up. The girl did nothing to interfere, she walked closer," why did you walk away?

Just because you beat Adam in some petty fight doesn't mean you are strong at all, ok," she acted like a villain in one of the kids sword shows he watched when finding training videos (he kept on looking for them even after the first meeting of Gramps).

He watched all of the three hundred episodes, some even call it anime (he completed it yesterday).

Eader was giddy, he saw the opportunity and took it.

"Well, what happens if Adam was playing you all along, what happens if he really is weak."

He got looks, puzzled ones.

"Really? Are you sure?"

"Try it."

His voice was deep, he glared at her maniacally.

She blinked, letting him go.

After he was finished, it was a surprise someone would go at her like that, so there was silence after.

Oh, god, what did I just do?
