Unwinding the mystery

" I went to Godwin's house the other night after the party."

Surprisingly, she didn't seem as shocked as I imagined she would be.

" Why? Why Lijah?" She asked and stared at me. The rain got heavier and it got difficult to keep our eyes open.

" I went there to kill him but I didn't. There was another man in there. I could here some kind of weird noises . Then I saw Godwin coming out and I walked out of there."

She kept on staring at me, astound.

" Oh, why did you even think about killing him?" She asked, still with the same look.

" I uh don't know. He did something to you that night. He was sitting on the bed so close to you. And I couldn't tolerate it. It felt like you were not mine anymore, so I thought to kill him. His death is the only solution that will get us together forever." I spoke without a clarity in my own answer.

" I know you'll never believe me but..

" I believe you Lijah." She interrupted.

Now I was the one who was shocked. I never thought she would believe me 'this' fast.

" Lijah.." She spoke and I had to cut off my thoughts.

"It was not a man like you assumed, it was a girl who was in there with him last night."
