Second Move

I walked to school and told him about what the grandma said. Both of us had are hopes going a bit higher now.

POV: Lijah

I walked downstairs and walked to Uncle's house. Leah was busy doing her homework. I could hear the sound of plates clashing which made it obvious that aunt was in there.

I stood by the door and rang the bell.

" Lijah you? You do realize that this is your uncle's house, right?" She asked with her eyes almost falling off.

I nodded my head. With Aunt's reaction, I was trying my best to hold back my laugh.

" Oh, you either broke something or you need something from your uncle." She said with her eyebrows raising.

" Second one." I said with a laugh.

" Who is it?"

I could hear uncle screaming from the kitchen.

" It's me Lijah." I replied back.

He came running with surprise and started walking halfway near, to show that he isn't curious about me in his house. I really don't know why he had a problem with my mom and dad or maybe they had a problem with him. But sometimes he seems like a really sweet person.

" Uncle Paul, I need your help. I got a work from school which will affect my internal marks. It's just that, I'll have to do some job and write about how it feels to work hard and earn money." Lie again!

" American schools are out of their mind, trying so hard to make you useful fellows to understand the meaning of life which they are never going to succeed." Aunt rolled her eyes and walked to kitchen saying that.

She is half Indian, so I totally get why she said that.

" What job are you planning to do?" Uncle asked with a serious, straight face.

" Guess what, I already got a job. Just a one day job. To move a garden from a house's backyard. " I replied.

" Move a garden to where?" He asked.

Now that's a sensible question that I never thought about.

" To a hill or landfill or something. We just have to move the flowers in the garden and turn the soil."

Why does he have to know every single information? Just come with me and your work is over.

My mind voice yelled in my ears.

" Ha, we'll do it tomorrow morning then. I'll take my truck." He said.

What a great person! My uncle is not the toughest person after all.
