We are not close enough

"Why are you smiling? It's creepy." Feeling the chill running down his spine, Naoki is spooked. "Wait, don't tell me you don't love Kenzo like you used to anymore. You don't have the answer to my question?" derides Naoki because he doesn't understand the intricate feelings that human feels.

"No, I do have an answer. Don't be impatient, man," said Hiroshi while giving Naoki a cold glare, "I don't want to talk on the rooftop. It's cold."

"So, where do you want to talk?" questions Naoki who is curious to what Hiroshi will answer.

[Author's thoughts: Curiosity kills the cat. *Smirk** smirk*]

"On second thought. I believe we are not that close to exchange personal information. So I feel like I don't need to explain it to you. Bye." Hiroshi without looking back waves and walks towards the door.

"What?! Hiroshi, that's not fair! I believe you don't have friends at school that attitude of yours," yelled Naoki, who couldn't recover from the shock of Hiroshi's rejection.

"The world is never fair. Life isn't fair. It never was and never will be. Oh, yes indeed, I don't have friends, and I don't need friends. I already have enough. I don't need more," quotes Hiroshi, who stops in his track, turns his head towards Naoki, smiles innocently like a child with no worries for a while, and turns to leave.

"Nice quote, by the way. Y-You sure are weird. Don't you feel lonely since you don't have friends?" questions Naoki.

"Sadly, no, I don't feel lonely at all. In fact, I quite enjoy it," Hiroshi smirks.

"H-huh?! You can't leave yet. I need compensation from you for the sudden kiss of yours when I was trying to save you from jumping off the building," urges Naoki, who is trying his best not to make Hiroshi leave. Hiroshi's face blushes as he recalls the memories and blames himself for his careless act.

"At that time, you resemble Kenzo for some reason. So, I thought you were Kenzo and kissed you. I was irrational. I am sorry," apologized Hiroshi, "Now, I am leaving for real."

"Are you for real?" yells Naoki while hoping Hiroshi would turn his head again towards Naoki. Hiroshi lets out a sigh but doesn't turn his head.

Hiroshi leaves the building without turning again to look at Naoki. Hiroshi walks to the bus stop, sits on a chair, and waits for the bus. He then realizes that it's already about midnight and there are no buses left.

"I surely must be out of my mind. Ha," laughs Hiroshi mockingly.

Getting out of his chair, Hiroshi begins to walk by the platform as he tries to get a cab.

Sitting in the cab, Hiroshi leans on the car window. The scene of Kenzo lying on the floor suffering from the pain flashes in Hiroshi's eyes. Hiroshi's tears once again begin to drip down his chin onto his shirt.

"Young boy, are you okay? You look very sad," asked the middle-aged taxi driver.

"A-Ahh, y-yes. I didn't mean to disturb you. I am sorry for disturbing you while you are driving," apologizes Hiroshi, wiping his tears away from his reddish cheek.

"Boy, you didn't disturb me," smiles the driver, "I am just curious. Did you lose someone significant to you?"

"Yes, it was six months ago. I came to visit my deceased boyfriend because I miss him," elucidates Hiroshi, who sees the smile of the driver from the back mirror.

"I see.  I am sorry to hear that. You must have loved your deceased boyfriend a lot. Did you come to visit him today?" soothes the driver, who is looking at the road and glancing Hiroshi from time to time.

"Yes, I came to visit him, and I end up spending the whole day near the area,"  Hiroshi explains as he nods his head into the back mirror in the car to the driver, who sees it.

"Poor boy, it must have been a big shock for him," thought the driver.

"Ohh, I see. Please, do take care. You are still young for your age. I don't want to say time will heal the pain because everybody is not the same. Some might not recover from pain, while some do. After all, we are different," reminds the driver while also encouraging Hiroshi that there are still many more exciting events left in life.

"Yes, thank you," Hiroshi replied.

After a while, the car has arrived at Hiroshi's house. Hiroshi pays for the cab, walks into his house, lays on the sofa in the living room, and places his hand covering his eyes. Meanwhile, Naoki, who is still on the rooftop, raises his head, stares into the starry night sky, and rethinks about the events with Hiroshi.

"Why did I feel pain as if someone just squeezes my heart without clemency in this part?" questions Naoki, who raises his hand and places it on his left side of the chest.

"Am I getting a heart attack?" ponders Naoki, who puts his two hands to cover his jaw-dropped mouth in shock.

"Wait, no. That doesn't make sense. I am not a human; therefore, I don't have a human heart that could pump blood to flow throughout my body," analyses Naoki. He then laughs out loud at his crazy thought of getting a heart attack and thinks he has gone absurd.

"I must have gone crazy," scoffs Naoki.

"But why does it stings when I see Hiroshi crying in pain when we were time traveling? I don't get it," deliberates Naoki.

"*Sigh* Now what? What am I supposed to do? Where should I go?" Naoki said to himself, "Well, I will just go to Hiroshi's home."

Ding Dong!

Hiroshi's doorbell rings.

"Who in the world would visit me late at night?" thought Hiroshi, who peeps through the door hole. Hiroshi's eyes widen, but Hiroshi still manages to open the door.

"How do you know where I live? I never tell you where I live. How do you find me?" said Hiroshi annoyingly while glaring Naoki hard with the meaning of 'why are you ruining my beauty sleep and it's already past midnight. I have school tomorrow."

"Well, don't you remember that I am King of Doom? Which means I can trace your footsteps which lead to your home," said Naoki proudly.

"Umm, for your fact, I didn't go home on foot. I go back home by riding a cab. Who cares if you are 'King of Doom.' I don't care, maybe you care" Hiroshi points out the fact.

"S-Shut up, Hiroshi! Baka, you are so annoying. I don't care how you go home. The important fact is that I can find you easily without any tracking devices," boasted Naoki.

"Ohh, I see. Then bye." Hiroshi closes the door leaving Naoki in shock. Naoki, pressing the doorbell again, tries to open the door, but he fails because Hiroshi has locked the door from the inside.

"Hiroshi, open the door," screams Naoki while knocking the door furiously.

"What do you want?" Hiroshi asks, leaning on the door, but Hiroshi doesn't open the door for Naoki.

"I have nowhere to go. Let me stay at your place," pleads Naoki.

"Oh my, yes, of course, Naoki. You can stay at my place," Hiroshi, who peeps his head a little from the door, said with a fraudulent feminine voice. Naoki is full of joy after hearing what Hiroshi had said not until Hiroshi continued,

"Do you expect me to say that, Naoki?" said Hiroshi in a sarcastic tone.

"Wahhh, you are very mean, Hiroshi," complains Naoki like a child.

"Is he a kid or something? Why do I feel like the kid is persuading the mom to let him sleep with his mom. Sigh~," thought Hiroshi as he facepalms in his thoughts.

"Nope, I am not mean. For the fact, I am a very kind human being. Aren't you King of Doom? Don't you have a place to stay? You should be filthy rich," questions Hiroshi.

"Okay, fine. I am leaving, hump," replies Naoki after knowing that he could no longer persuade Hiroshi.
