Dungeon Cores Gather

Hey, Shun here!

Have you ever experienced shivering nonstop because you were too nervous?

I remember experiencing such a thing, back when I first started training in a dojo. It was so nerve-racking.

I was mentally prepared but, when I was already there, my hands couldn't stop shaking.

(Number 629's POV)

I was just a normal rabbit, grazing on my beautiful grassy plains, with nothing else to do but to hunt locusts, grasshoppers, and some other insects to earn a decent amount of Dungeon Points. I know, I know, normal rabbits don't earn these things called Dungeon Points but, aside from earning those from killing and absorbing the corpses of these creatures, I'm but a normal rabbit through and through.

It was just another normal day for me and my rabbit friends. We were leisurely hopping around, occasionally biting on some grass if we ever felt like it.

However, all of this changed when an intruder came. He was a Dungeon Core who's from the batch 500+, a batch of Dungeon Cores much older than us who's from the batch 600+.

I'm Dungeon Core Number 629 by the way. I'm the 29th from the 99 Dungeon Cores from our batch, which is rather impressive if I do say so myself.

Anyway, as I was saying, during the visit of that older Dungeon Core, without even having enough evidence, he accused me of being a part of the traitor's faction. I couldn't even say a rebuttal as he just never listened to me.

Just when I thought that that very day will be the end of our happy days, a God appeared to save us. I was completely stunned, awestruck by her majestic appearance and the overwhelming power that was radiating off of her body.

She's not a normal rabbit, I thought.

Sure enough, without any hesitation, she chopped the older Dungeon Core who was creating troubles for me into a million pieces, in a matter of seconds. I wish I was joking when I said that, but I'm not.

She really did that, and more. She was moving so fast that I couldn't even see her move. It was like, she was gone for a fraction of a second before reappearing the next moment.

Because she literally saved our lives, I of course had to thank her by offering her a lavish meal that I know rabbits such as us like!

After that, she suggested that we meet her 'Master' who seems to be a God like herself. When I agreed, she immediately pulled me by the scruff of my neck and, with my head swimming due to dizziness and nausea, we traveled to somewhere I don't know.

Can't you be a bit more gentle when handling a rabbit, Master Tsuka?

(Third Person's POV)

It's only been over a day since Tsuka left from the Rabbit's Capsule Restspot so everyone was not so worried about her. Shun told them to let Tsuka play while he, Rokuko, and Fenny are away.

He even specifically told them to let her do what she wants since, if ever she felt bored — which she will most definitely be because everyone is busy and no one will be around to keep her company — she might want to travel around on her own.

Whilst everyone was busily going around, cleaning the tables, chairs, furnitures, and every nook and cranny of the capsules, Tsuka suddenly appeared right in front of the entrance door while carrying an extremely pale orange rabbit. He was desperately trying to hold down his vomit as Tsuka carried him by the scruff of his neck.

The first to notice this odd pair was Seiko who happens to be arranging some flowers outside.

"Oh, Tsuka! Welcome home!" Seiko greeted the approaching Tsuka with a smile on her face. She's happy to see that Tsuka is energetic again.

"Squeak, squeak, squeak~! Tsuka, home with, friend~!" Tsuka 'showed' Dungeon Core Number 629 to Seiko by placing him in front of her for Seiko to see. She's quite excited to tell everyone that she gained a new rabbit friend other than Fenny, especially to her master.

Dungeon Core Number 629 dropped on the ground with a plop and, as a result, could no longer hold back from vomiting.

"Ugh!" Number 629 kneeled on the ground as he started to vomit everything that he ate today.

"Oh my, it looks like he's feeling unwell. Tsuka, could you please take him inside a capsule room so that he could rest for a bit?"

"Squeak~! Leave it, to Tsuka!" Once Number 629 was done vomiting, Tsuka once again held him by the scruff of his neck and chucked him inside one of the capsule rooms on the second floor.

He was then promptly taken cared of by Seiko who cleaned the rabbit before tucking him in.

"You sure got some new friend after just a day of travel, Tsuka. That ain't half bad my dude."

On her way to cleaning the onsen, Ichika spotted Tsuka and Seiko climbing up the staircase that leads to the second floor and got curious. Tsuka just got home and she saw that she was dragging an orange rabbit.

A bunny dragging an unconscious rabbit, that's something that anyone would get curious of if they see such a sight.

"Squeak~! Squeak, squeak! Tsuka, lucky~! Found an, ugly man, followed!" Tsuka made a face when she remembered the zombie-type Dungeon Core.

"You found an, ugly guy? Even though I know shit about bunnies and their expressions, your expression tells me he must've been very very ugly ya?"

"Squeak~! Uuuglyy~!"

Tsuka conversed more with Ichika — with Seiko, Maichi, and Koharu eventually joining the conversation — while waiting for Number 629 to wake up. Once he wakes up, they'll be off to meet her Master.

(Shun's POV)

It took us a few hours of endless shopping before the two girls' hunger on buying clothes was finally satiated. They didn't just buy their own clothes though. They also bought Fenny some clothes, which eventually turned into some sort of cute fashion show.

Poor Fenny had to change clothes multiple times. That's not the only torture she suffered from though. She would also have to deal with the backlash of being overly cute, which is being showered by hugs, pets, and kisses from the two girls who seems to be high in adrenaline and dopamine.

Consequently, Fenny was drained by the end of it. She's now sleeping within the arms of Haku who seems to have taken a liking to the infant Heilen Bunny.

"There's still a few hours before we could visit the underground colosseum… Why don't we go back to my villa to enjoy some tea and confectionaries?"

By the way, in case you are wondering where the huge bulk of clothes that Rokuko and Haku bought went, it's inside my [Storage].

What? You think I'll carry it with me like a martyr when I have such a convenient spell to help me with carrying it?

"Sounds good to me, Haku! It's been a while since we had our last tea party!" Rokuko beamed when she heard about having some cup of tea with Haku.

"What about you, Shun?" Haku turned her head towards me.

"I think I'll have some coffee instead. I'm more of a coffee guy…" While I definitely wouldn't pass on drinking some high quality tea, I think I like coffee more.

Tea is not my cup of tea.

Once we reached Haku's villa, we were greeted with Chloe who's wearing her usual butler outfit. After giving a curt bow, Chloe immediately cut straight to the point.

"My Lady, you have a visitor. The Vorpal Bunny named Tsuka just came through the portal you created to connect Princess Rokuko's dungeon and yours. She's accompanied by a dog beastkin who goes by the name of Ikumei, a fox beastkin named Zenko, and an orange rabbit who introduced himself as Dungeon Core Number 629."

While Haku didn't show much of a reaction when she heard the first three names that Chloe mentioned, her eyes slightly widened when she heard about the latter. It's actually very rare for any Dungeon Core to visit her — aside from Rokuko of course.

"Oh? Did he mention if he have some business with me?"

"No, my Lady. It seems like he came here after he got dragged by his new Dungeon Master, Tsuka, to meet Shun over there…" Chloe directed her gaze at me as if saying, "Did you know about this?"

Oh, even Haku and Rokuko are looking at me the same way. I totally have no idea what Tsuka did during the time when I and Rokuko was away but, if I had to guess, she probably went outside and had a fortuitous encounter.

You know? Those things that Chinese xianxia and wuxia protagonists experience when going out on their cultivation journey.

It's just a fancy way of saying 'that guy got lucky'.

Tsuka's luck aside, I guess I need to meet this rabbit. If his dungeon is in a similar shape as Rokuko's before I was summoned, I need to help them.

I can't have my dear Tsuka be harmed because of a weak Dungeon Core. While I'm at it, I'll also get him to train.

"It seems like you don't know that this happened either, Shun. Well, since we have so many guests coming over, the tea party will be more fun."

With Chloe on the lead, we walked through the uselessly huge corridors of Haku's villa before, after a long walk, we reached the garden where a tasteful set of tables and chairs were arranged neatly in the middle of the garden filled with flowers.

There, I saw Tsuka quietly sitting on a chair that allows her to be on the same level as the table's height. She seems to be humming a tune while shaking her head left and right, followed by her long rabbit ears that swayed along with the shake of her head.

Next to her was Zenko, followed by Ikumei and an orange rabbit who seems to be fidgeting in front of the table. What's this little guy nervous about?

Before we could even reach the table where various desserts, along with a set of teapot and some tea cups, are placed neatly, a white blur appeared in front of me. After that, I felt something clinging on my neck.

"Hey, Tsuka. It looks like you're as energetic as ever, huh?"

"Squeak~! Tsuka miss master~!" Since I doubt she'd let me go right now, I just patted her on the head before continuing to walk.

Once I took my seat next to Rokuko, Haku began talking to the shivering orange rabbit.

"So, Dungeon Core Number 629, right?"

"Y-Yeash!? W-What is it!?"

"Fufu… No need to be so tense. Since your Dungeon Master is a friend of my dear little sister's Dungeon Master, we could also be considered as friends."

"F-Friend!? The famous 'traitorous b****' Dungeon Core Number 89 is going to be friends with me!?" I heard something crack. Was that the handle of Haku's tea cup?

Anyway, this orange rabbit have some balls. Should I ask Haku to train him or something? It seems like she would go full spartan on him if given the chance, which is absolutely not a problem to me.

After that small mishap, our tea party proceeded without a hitch.
