Building Another Inn Building Before Leaving

Hey, Shun here!

Sometimes, even during a vacation, you couldn't help but find something else that you could perhaps do. Once you're a member of the society, it just feel that way.

That's probably the reason why my past life would say to someone who asks him the question, "What do people do during a break?" that you just don't. Break? What's that?

(Third Person's POV)

Inside the cafeteria of the inn called the Rabbit's Capsule Restspot, a group of adventurers were conversing with each other while eating some bread paired with a vegetable soup. Some people who already finished their food were content with drinking a cup of water which is refillable for unlimited number of times, which was really amazing considering how this place is basically nowhere near any civilization.

A magician could of course also supply the water here through magic but, that would then not explain how they could refill for unlimited number of times. Not to mention that the water is very tasty, having that slight tinge of sweet aftertaste.

"Pwaaah! Man, I'd never get tired of drinkin' 'tis tasty water. Everytime I go to the dungeon, I need to make do with the water supply we have, which for the most part is made out of magic!" Adventurer A said after downing yet another glass of water.

"Yeah. 'Er right about that, man. It ain't easy dungeon prowling, especially when it's a conventional dungeon." Adventurer B said while munching on his bread.

"It's a shame we can't refill our own bottles with this water though…" Adventurer C commented.

"Was anyone brave enough to try smuggling some?" Adventurer D asked.

"Yeah man. A brave young lad tried to do that but got caught by the golem guards almost immediately." Adventurer A replied.

"Oh yeah, that young lad? Didn't he got beat up and sent to the Adventurer's Guild for punishment?" Adventurer B asked.

"Ah. The poor lad didn't get to accept any quest for a day or two." Adventurer C said, before sipping his bowl of vegetable soup until its very last drop.

"Now that you said it, I remember someone talkin' about it a long time ago…" Adventurer D said.

While they were having a conversation, Ichika passed by them, carrying a tray filled with orders from a seat right next to them.

"Say, I just remembered this after seeing her but, someone yesterday night said that the boss of this inn came back yesterday…" Adventurer D said while taking his gaze off of Ichika's plump rear after a few seconds of staring at it long and hard.

"You mean the rumoured royal family member? That prince?" Adventurer A asked.

"Ya, that one. I heard that a few people encountered him at the corridor and almost collapsed from fright." Adventurer D replied.

"Ah, that. There was also Bozo who told me about it yesterday. He said him and his party became so stiff after seeing him walking down the hallway that his and his entire party's brains ran on auto-pilot." Adventurer C added.

"Does he really look like what the rumours say?" Adventurer A once again asked.

"He does. Many saw him yesterday and they said he looks exactly like a direct descendant of the First Empress. He's got that cold intimidatin' aura as well, similar to the First Empress…" Adventurer D answered.

"Shh… Don't talk about it here. The royal family are frightenin' people so we might just die in an alleyway without knowing it if we're not careful…" Adventurer B warned.

Due to the image that Haku has built up over the years, these adventurers didn't even dare to talk about Shun anymore, deciding to just continue on their merry adventure.

This is one of the reasons why the customers of Rabbit's Capsule Restspot are pretty well behaved. Many have heard about Shun and his rumoured affiliation with the royal family if the Laverio Empire so none dared to be so brazen around here.

Those who had the balls to be so brave were the ones who just arrived here and are trying to stupidly assert their dominance or something. Well, they are often quickly taken cared of by the golems that seems to be more than capable of taking down C-ranked adventurers with relative ease.

While that, and the fact that the inn employees are also monsters in their own right deterred most of the adventurers from acting out, their biggest fear is directed towards that mysterious royal family member who's in the middle of his adventurer journey, a tradition that's been passed down in the royal family blood. It's sort of am open secret so most people know about it.

(Shun's POV)

I woke up to the extremely high body heat of Zenko and Ikumei. It was just Ikumei, Zenko, Fenny, Rokuko, and Tsuka who slept with me as Seiko and Ichika went out in the middle of our celebration to drink.

On the other hand, there was Koharu and Maichi who got out to sleep on their own rooms. Maichi was too sleepy to walk on her own so Koharu accompanied her to her own room.

Like usual, I got up and freshened up. I wanted to go outside but, before I could go out through the door, I stopped in my tracks and thought of what I could do for today before we go to Mutsuko's dimension.

"Hmm… It's still too early in the morning to do anything else uh… Should I just expand the dorm then?" Once that thought crossed my mind, the idea of getting more employees down the line also resurfaced.

"Alright… Let's do that…"

As I walked outside of the Grand Capsule Suite, I felt a soft and fluffy thing in my shoulder, along with a small breeze.

"Tsuka?" Looking over my shoulder, I saw our resident Vorpal Bunny resting on top of my shoulders, rubbing her eyes in a sleepy manner.

"Squeak~? Squeak… Yes, Mastaah~? Mor, ning…"

Seeing how sleepy she still is, I couldn't help but smile from ear to ear. She's cute when she's very energetic but, there's just something different when she looks so weak and sleepy so early in the morning.

The reason why this ball of energy is so out of energy was because she wanted to catch up with her friends in this dimension. She used too much energy yesterday. That's why Ikumei, Zenko, Rokuko, Fenny, Maichi, and Koharu are still fast asleep.

With Tsuka as my company, I went outside the dorm. After arriving at the farther back location of the dorm, I began to work.

Whilst I was creating the new walls after placing some foundations that are just for formalities really, it seems like Tsuka finally regained some of her energy as she began talking to me.

"Squeak~? Master, making new wall~?" Tsuka asked curiously while hovering beside me.

"Yep. I'm going to make new rooms for the future employees."

Upon hearing this revelation, Tsuka's eyes widened for a bit as she looked at me in surprise. After recovering from her initial surprise, Tsuka flew in front of me, slightly blocking my view, and asked.

"…Squeak~? New friends~?"

"Uh-huh. New friends for Tsuka. Well, I won't be summoning them right now though." After her question was answered, Tsuka returned to flying by my side while I myself continued commanding the golems.

It was really so easy to do this. There's little to no labor involved, except for when I have to pick up the materials myself.

Speaking of friends, I feel like we're forgetting someone.

Remembering that bit, I thought about it deeply. I feel like it was just at the tip of my tongue.

Finally, after a few seconds, I remembered what it was.

"Speaking of friends… Don't you have another rabbit friend, Tsuka? Mikan was his name, right?"

At my question, Tsuka simply tilted her head.

"Squeak~? Mikan~?"

Oh, dang. The poor rabbit was forgotten.

"Mikan. You know? That rabbit who's the Dungeon Core of your rabbit dungeon with many rabbit friends…" I said, trying to jog her memory a bit.

It seems like it worked since she finally remembered.

"Squeak! Squeak~! Ooooohh! Tsuka, forgot~!"

"I thought so…" I said while patting Tsuka on the head.

Well, I did leave some work to do for that rabbit so I, unless he mess up, I don't think he'll be in any danger. We'll go visit him some time later.

I continued to converse with Tsuka as I built the extension of the dorm. I don't need to expand the inn yet since it's already quite big initially. That's one thing that I don't need to worry about for a while longer.

An hour or so passed and I was finally done creating a whole new section of the dorm. It's fully furnished, along with some new golem security technology, which is just giving simple orders to a couple of golems.

As I was marvelling at the amount of things I managed to finish over the course of an hour or so, Koharu came in through the door that I just installed carrying a tray filled with food for my and Tsuka's breakfast.

"Master Shun, I brought you and Tsuka-sama your breakfast…"

"Oh, thank you very much, Koharu. Sit down and eat with us." Receiving the food from her hands, I gestured for her to take a seat with us.

"Haa… Thank you…"

"No need to be so formal when it's not in a public setting, Koharu. Heck, you shouldn't be so formal around me, you know?" I said while picking up a banana cue.

"I understa… I got it…"

Man, this is very delicious. It's good that I taught them how to make these. I should also teach them how to make turon next time. Those are delicious as well.

After I enjoyed our breakfast, I, along with Tsuka and Koharu, went back inside the dorm where Rokuko is waiting. It looks like Ikumei, Zenko, and the others are now out to tend to the inn.

Customers should be started to wake up by now and, according to what I learned from staying here for a while, adventurers wake up early. Well, majority of them, atleast. That's especially true around here since there's not much supply of liquor.

After escorting us to the Grand Capsule Suite, Koharu left, as she needs to go back to her work.

"What do you think about our dungeon, Shun!? How is it!? I did well developing it, right!?" Rokuko asked while showing a smug expression on her face.

"You did really well. It looks like our dungeon and our inn grew really fast under your care…" I said.

My mouth naturally formed a smile on my face after seeing the smug expression of this adorable partner of mine. She already asked me this question a few times last night but she's still asking the same question until today.

I guess she is really proud of what she has accomplished, and rightfully so.

"Fufu! I know, right!?"
