TRY TO TALK

Ren was supposed to be on leave the next day too as she mentioned to Noah but when he woke, there was no sign of the girl. He knew, he had to apologize to her for the last night but it seemed kind of giving up on his last speck of pride. He just sat on the couch with a straight face, not having the energy to leave the place. Lia was fast asleep as usual and it was easy for him to realize that he should be the one who cooks when they shift.

He wanted to sell and get rid of the moon stone as quick as possible but didn't know where it is. He wanted to ask about it to Ren and do it on his own but it may look like he doesn't trust her. He tried to check it in the flat subtly but it was no where to be found. He knew that he asked her to keep it safe from Lia so she must be carrying it around with her.

"I need to take it from her or else she will be in danger."

He looked out of the blue tinted window which showed the outside world. He missed Lego and Tom a lot and he was worried about them. Lego wouldn't even eat her food if some one else tries to feed it and it hurt him to realize what he did to her. He was distracted hearing the door open behind him, revealing Lia all dressed up.

His eyes nearly popped out seeing her walking out of her room like that from sleep. Usually she walks out like a zombie, tripping and hitting everywhere as her eyes would be closed. The dress she wore was the one he picked for her, and it was one of his favourite too. A plaid check pajama with a head band, matching it which Ren said only kids would use.

"Are you staying here?" Lia asked as soon as she noticed him sitting with his half closed eyes.

'Ren is not here. She must have went to hospital."

"Is the door locked?" She asked trying to open it and to her surprise, it was not locked.

Lia looked at him in confusion but he was just normal to that, he just tossed the blanket from the couch and walked to the fridge to grab a drink. His eyes nearly popped out seeing the moon stone, placed in the freezer just like that. Maybe Ren thought that Ren believed no one would loot the fridge for something valuable.

"Can we possibly go outside? I would like to see the sunlight."

"Hmm yea, we need to." He said grabbing the stone and hiding it behind him.

"Go and change to something else. We can go out." He said running to Ren's room to get ready and he knows that's the only room where there is no camera.

Lia looked confused at the boy who ran into the room happily as if she said something which he was anticipating a lot. Noah changed into a pair of comfortable cloths which screamed boy friend material to the world. He has no idea where to sell the stone but as far as he could re collect, it should be some jewelry.

"Where are we going?" She asked trailing behind him.

"I don't know. Maybe we can go to the mall and play some games, watch a movie or eat something. I don't have any plans." He admitted because the only thing in his mind was to sell off the stone and get some money as quick as possible.

"I don't know any of these." Lia frowned at him as she didn't like the idea of being stupid.

"Excuse me?"

"Hmm?" Noah stopped in his path hearing a voice call for him from behind and he was so hoping it was no one that Ren knows.

"Do we perhaps know you?"

It was not just one person, but a group of three to four all dressed in royal suits of different shades of grey. They were much bigger compared to Noah and had a scary aura as if they were about to hurt him or kidnap him. Lia immediately pushed Noah to the side and stood in front of him in a defensive position.

'Who are you?" Lia asked with a slight growl.

"Woah woah, you have a body guard?" The man asked moving a few steps to the back.

"Lia, what are you doing?" He whispered to her before pulling her back.

"What if he hurts you? You never know." She whispered back to him but it was loud enough for the others to hear.

"Why would we hurt someone in the middle of the road in broad daylight? We are just here to have a few words with him." The man spoke trying to ease the sudden stiffness in the atmosphere.

'Yes?" Noah asked holding Lia's hands to calm her down.

"Sir, we saw you at the mall last day and one of my employee took a few pictures of you. We would like to ask a favor from you." the man smiled and it obviously was so creepy.

'What kind of favor?"

"Can we talk about this at our office?" The man asked pointing at a big car which was parked at the other side of the road.

"I am not sure about coming to your office but we can talk privately in some café here." Noah suggested as he doesn't know the intention of the an as far as he knows humans are only concerned about their success.

"This is a little confidential so we prefer to go somewhere private."

"How can I trust you?" he asked and Lia stomped on his foot as she wanted to speak.

"What?" He asked her while jumping in tiny as the pain shot up to his thighs.

"You are a wolf so don't talk like a stupid scaredy cat. You can attack if they hurt you." Lia reminded him and he just huffed.
