“Thank you, My Queen. I’m just doing what needs to be done. I’ll do whatever it takes to keep you safe,” Ethan said as his arms tightened around me. We stared into each other’s eyes. Leaning up, I pressed a kiss to his lips, and sleepily, he kissed me back.

“What can I do to help?” I asked.

“You don’t need to worry about that. It’s being taken care of. I heard about your training session today,” Ethan said. He was trying to change the subject and I’d let it go for now.

“Yes,” I laughed, taking the bait. “I beat her.”

“You’re going to have to give me a little more than that. I heard you didn’t just beat her, you defeated her,” Ethan said. “Gamma has said good things about her. She was a high leveled warrior before. I have no doubt she’ll rise through the ranks here.”
