Chapter IV.Life to Continue

Jen dropped Nari an hour after I got home. She didn't stop by to have a coffee since she was in a hurry and has some errands to do.

Nari has done eating at Jens' and now she is just playing on the couch. Good thing I ate a little when I got home.

I approach her and sat on her left. And ask if she was having a good time. She nods without glancing at me.

I turn on the TV to watch some shows or movies then focus on it.

" Mama " she asks in a haste and got my attention.

" Yes, sweetie " I answered, eyes are still on the tv.

" Mama, can we go to the mall tomorrow, please? " she asks with a prayer hand and a puppy eyes.

I don't know how to say no to her especially when she does that. She is just so cute that anyone might bewitched by her.

" Of course, sweetie " I said smiling at her. The nearest mall from where we live is the Jin Won Mall. I do not know anything about that mall but from what I have heard it is the biggest and most popular mall in the country even if I have a branch in there.

I do not know either if that mall is somewhat related to the person in my past. I just hope that does not mean anything.

I shake that thought out of me and ask her,

" Where do you want to go, hmmm? "

" I want to go to WOF Mama and then eat and then stroll and then......... " she stops to think the things that she wants to do. Moments after, she looks at me with a wide eyes and a mischievous smile. UH UH.....I already know that looks of her. She

wants to do shopping.

" Mama, shopping! " she said excitedly while jumping on the couch. I scolded her immediately because I'm afraid she might fall down.

" Sorry Mama " she regretfully said.

" It's ok sweetie. As long as you will not forget what I have told you, ha? "

" Okay, Mama, but can we do shopping tomorrow, please? " she pleads then kissed me on my cheeks.

I nod then picked her up then went to her room. I read her favourite bedtime book, Cinderella. When she was about to close her eyes I bid her a goodnight and a kiss on her forehead then proceed to my bedroom. I changed into my silk nightgown. Sat on the side edge of my bed then check my phone if I have some e-mails. There's nothing. Thank goodness so that I can rest early.

I don't even know what tomorrow brings but I hope that everything will gonna be okay. I put my phone on the bedside table then laid down. I close my eyes then let the sleep take me.

I woke up to a soft giggle and a tiny hands stroking my hair. I pretended that I'm still sleeping and observes her. I peek to see what she is doing and found out that she's taking a picture of me while sleeping. I move little by little so she won't see me awake. I waited until her gaze landed on me.

Her chinky round eyes got bigger when she realize that she got caught in the act but still smile sheepishly.

" Good morning, Mama!!!!! " she started. Hiding the phone at her back.

" Morning sweetie. Did you have a good sleep? " I glance at her while asking.

" Yes, Mama. Super good sleep because I'm excited for today!!! " she exclaimed ecstaticly. Her eyes are twinkling.

" Perfect " I said looking at her. I know that she's hiding my phone at her back.

" Now where's my good morning kiss, sweetie? " she hesitated to come but still did.

" mmwahhh, good morning pretty Mama " I arc my brow after hearing her say those words. She rarely complimented me and that means she did something naughty. And I just let her.

I got up then went to the kitchen. I didn't bother to change or put on a robe coz only the two of us are living in here. This is Zhera Condominium and I own this condo unit for a while now.

The owners of this Condominium are a happily married couple and they're so kind. They are around my age and Zhea, the wife is like a friend to me. They're having a vacation somewhere with their five year old son.

As I reach the kitchen and just about to ask Nari what she likes but then she beat me to it when she shouts 'pancake'. So I gathered all the ingredients then mix them. When I finish, I called Nari for breakfast.

Time passed by and we are done eating, changing, and are ready to go out.

I dressed Nari in a cute yellow dress that emphasizes her beauty and color. She looks so adorable on it. And I, on the other hand, wear a black knee dress that emphasizes my curves. I mean I don't mind if I look good or not. I just want to be comfortable.

I carry my daughter out and lock the door. We went directly to our garage. Yes, we have our own garage in here, a package of the unit that I bought.

The lift stop and we went out in front of my cars. I mean I only have two and there's nothing to boast about it.

I choose my Mini Cooper SE since I'm gonna buy groceries and some basic needs and they will take some space.

I put Nari into her car seat and lock her seatbelt then went my way to the driver side.

I maneuver the car and went out into the open.

It's only a fifteen minutes drive without the traffic and since it's Saturday, a lot of people are outside so we reach the mall in twenty minutes. It's hard to find a parking space so when we found one it's almost eleven o'clock. I hurried and we're inside with Nari walking on my side. She looks so happy that I feel the same thing just looking at her.

" Mama, can we play, can we play, please? " she asks begging me to say yes. So I nod at her and she tugs me to where the WOF is.

She enjoyed a lot that me, myself didn't notice the time either. I carry her out of WOF and told her that we're going to eat lunch at her favourite restaurant, our RESTAURANT. And she claps happily.

Maybe I forgot to tell you that we have a branch in this mall but I seldom come here. I'm always at the main branch. Besides staff in here knows that I'm the owner but I plead them not to tell to anyone if it's not very important.

NIC is located at the north wing of this mall in fourth floor.

When we reach there, the guard smiles at me, nods then open the door while saying ' good afternoon and welcome Ms. Ly ' which I responded with a smile and a nod.

A waitress came to us holding the menu but the manager, Ms. Lina, came with her instead. I just smiled at her after giving our orders to the waitress. Nari loves sushi and ramen so I ordered both.

" Uhmmm, Ms. Ly....." I lost in my thoughts that I didn't hear my manager called me.

" yeah? " I face at her.

" I was just trying to tell you that the reports are done and are ready to sent to you for checking. And we have a new hired waitress, the one who serves you both earlier. "

" Oh, it's ok Lina. And please, just call me Yeisha, understand? "

" yeah, yeah, but you're my boss so I can't help it. " she stated sighing.

" Fine, call me by my name when we're not at work, got it? " I told her rolling my eyes.

Lina is like a sister to me. I entrusted her this branch that's why I seldom come here. She manages this restaurant together with my loyal staff. The staff here is like a family to me. They are so kind and nice from the start. So I trusted them my restaurant.

Nari was talking to Lina when our food came.

The three of us talk while Nari and me are eating.

We finish the food quickly and ask for the bill but Lina elbowed me. I look at her and laugh hard that I almost choke on my saliva. Even the staffs are laughing at us.

We say our goodbye to Lina and head out because we need to buy some groceries.
