VI. Just a Dream

" Me too, I love you so much Hubby. You are my last and my forever. "

" I want to build a family with you. A daughter and a son with me and you. A perfect family. "

I woke up, panting. I really thought it's real. Because it's very fresh from my memory. Those dreams, it's been years since the last time I dreamed of it.

I get up on my bed and lean on the headboard and look at the time. It's thirty minutes past six. It's too early to be up so I glance at my phone and check if I have any messages. I got an email from Lina, maybe the report and a message from Jennie.

" Morning sleepyhead. Hoon and I are gonna be there. Saying he miss his daughter. LOL . And I miss you both. So get up your arse now and be ready. Chop chop. " -Lina

When I read the message, I bolted up on the bed then went to the bathroom to do my morning routine. I will just wake Nari up when I'm done.

Few minutes passed and I'm done. I choose a gray sweatpants and a black fitted t-shirt with a flat sandals. I look myself at the mirror when I'm done and I'm satisfied about the outcome. I look comfortable and presentable.

So I went out to wake Nari up. I walked in the hallway to her room. I was about to knock on it but she beats me again.

" Morning, Mama. You look so pretty Mama. " awwww

" Good morning sweetie. And thank you. " I replied with a smile while kissing her cheeks. " Guess who will be with us today?" I tell her wiggling my natural brows.

" Mommy Jen, Mama! Mommy Jen! Yehey.!! ... Mommy Jen will be here! " she exclaimed jumping on her feet. She looks so excited about it but I didn't tell her about her Daddy Hoon. It will be a surprise for her.

I cleaned her up then make ourselves breakfast. When we're done, we relax ourselves in the living room waiting for our visitors. As we about to open the television, the doorbell rang.

" Mama, I'll go open the door. " Nari said excitedly running towards the door. I stand up and walks towards the door to greet them.

" Mommy Jen...! " Nari greets her godmother and hugs her. She haven't seen her Daddy Hoon yet. "How about me, Princess ?". Hoon steps in and surprise Nari on his presence. Nari squeals in surprise. " I laughed at her.

I greeted Jen and hug her. " What brings you here by the way? " I ask Jennie while glancing at her husband. " We want to hang out with you guys like you know eating out." she said in a matter of fact.

" Sure, just give us a sec. I'll just change Nari quickly." she nods and I called Nari to change while leaving them in the living room.

" Sweetie, Mommy Jen and Daddy Hoon wants us to eat outside and I want you to behave , okay? "

I told her and she nods. " okay, Mama."

" Come on, let's get you change. " I change my daughter into a black skirt and a white shirt. I don't need to change at all.

An hour passed and we're on our way to a high class restaurant. I didn't bring a car because Jen and Hoon will drop us off after. Few moments later, Hoon parked his car in front of an Italian restaurant. Hoon opened the door for us. I'm about to carry Nari in my arms but her Daddy Hoon insisted so I let him. Jen and I walk side by side onto the door. The door man opened it for us and then someone lead us to our reservation. Well actually, Hoon's reservation.

We sat on our seat and the waiter assigned to us gave us the menu.

I ordered pizza and lasagna for Nari. For the drinks, fresh juice for Nari and sweet wine for us three.

We talk while waiting for our orders.

" Yeish .." Jen calls me. " hmmm? " I blink. " Sorry...what is it ?" I ask.

" Hoon will check up on you both since I'll be away for maybe a month. I'll have to visit my parents and go to a business trip in Korea. "

" Oww, that's too long Jen. I'm gonna miss you, for sure. " I said. My month will be sad and boring then. Just thinking about it is surely something.

" It's okay Yeish, Hoon will be here to help you cope with boredom, got it? " she said teasing me because she knows I'll be doomed. I stayed quite since the food is coming into our table.

We eat silently in our table. While eating, I roam around the area, trying to satisfy my eyes with the architecture. I transfer my eyes to the door when the chime rang signalling that a customer is entering. I stiffined at the sight glued to my seat. Five people entered the restaurant. And one of the five is someone that I know. Someone that I can't forget. Someone that I don't want to meet. Not now.

" Uhmmm, Jen? " I tried getting Jen's attention. She looked at me with eyed eyes. " Yeish, what happened? " I'm confused of what she's trying to point out. " Shit! You are so pale woman. It's like you've seen a ghost. Now tell me what happened." she exclaimed nervously.

" Can we please go now? " I plead. Don't know what to say.

" Uh, yeah sure." she said then getting her husband's attention whose busy feeding Nari. " Hoon, sweetheart, can we hurry coz Yeisha is not feeling well. I don't know what happened but I'm sure something is not right. " Upon hearing Jens' words Nari looked at me with a worried eyes.

" Mama, are you okay? Are you sick Mama? I'll go ask water Mama, ok?" after saying that, Nari ran to ask some water.

Hoon followed her but too late to notice Nari spilling the water on someone. Nari gasp and I ran towards her.

" Nari, are you okay?! Are you hurt?" I inspect looking for some scratch when I heard a fake cough. I was too busy observing her that I forgot the man whom Nari spilled on.

I tried to observe his clothing. This man wore an expensive suit, a shiny shoes and he seems like business......Shit! I cursed in my mind praying silently. I hope this is not him.

Jen is on my left with Hoon hugging Nari in his arms.

I look up slowly while saying my sorry and met with those beautiful piercing eyes that haunted me in my dreams.

We just stared at each other. If Nari didn't call me, I'll be nailed on the ground still.

" Yeisha? "

I'm doomed.
