Chapter 12: Business wedding

I sat down and asked, "What are we celebrating?"

"We are celebrating Sharon joining the Moore family business," replied Gail to me.

I then asked, "And what business is that?"

Everyone exhaled heavily and I quickly said, "I didn't mean that in any way."

Sharon stood up and said, "Yes you did! You are a control freak..."

Michael struck the table and said, "Enough! I love you, Sharon. But she is your mother and you will respect her."

"I am sorry mom," she quickly said and sat down.

I whistled and said, "OK. I could have used you a lot in the past. It would have saved me from beating the crap out of her a few times."

"Well if you told me the truth a long time ago we would have been a happy family," replied Michael as he sat down at the table.

"I am sorry I didn't tell you the truth all these years. But I let my best friend convinced me not to tell you.

Then it became protecting my daughter from your murderous family," I quickly told him.
