Chapter 21: SOMBRERO

" You don't know her? She's Stacey. She's a model at the agency, I'm surprised you don't know who she is." Natasha tried to explain, my disgusted look was probably scaring her but I didn't care. Stacey is a crazy-ass bitch for all I care. I only felt irritated remembering what happened when I had to work with her. The nerve she had to show up at my house { well Natasha's house too but it's still mine }. Stacey wouldn't dare to deny knowing this is where I lived, everyone knows I lived with Hannah and she knew where Hannah lived.

"I know her alright, that didn't answer my question. What is she doing here ?"

"She's my friend, who is here with my sister. Do you have a problem with that Jeremy ?" her eyes dared me to challenge her. While Stacey stood at the sidelines eating up whatever drama this provided.

" Of course not, unless we choose to mention how she harassed me" crossed my arms defensively.

"Harassed you ?" Stacey was the one to speak up under the guise of shock. Pretending to be surprised as if she didn't know what she did. I still mentally cursed Sam for it.

" Jeremy, harassed you ?"

" No Stacey, assault me since we all pretending to be deaf around here"

Harsh? Maybe a little but she deserved it. She should be the one going to the so-called professionalism seminar, not me. For some reason, I still couldn't get it out of my head.

" Geez, there's no need to be harsh Jeremy. You've already hurt my ego once, not enough payback ?" Oh please, like that was even hurting her ego.

"Obviously not."

"Fine, I am sorry for acting that way. It was uncalled for and it left a terrible expression about me, I can change that."

"Such a heartfelt apology," I said sarcastically, still crossing my arms.

" Give me a chance, I'm trying to attach an excuse to my behavior. That's effort if you ask me"

" Whatever, as long as you don't bug me and stay far away from my bedroom we won't have any issues" I just wanted to get back to trying to get a cookie for myself.

" Stacey, you can't keep coming here if you're going to keep harassing my housemate, OK?" Natasha put on a stern look while she talked

" I'm not harassing anyone, y'all should calm down"

Natasha and I raised our eyebrows questioning her sentence. Defeated, she sighed and softened her look before speaking again.

" I'll stay away from you. I'm still sorry, I just don't regret hitting on you. I learn to recognize a hottie when I see one" she winked and batted her eyes flirtatiously.

" Ewww," Natasha complained.

" See what I'm talking about ?" I gestured to Stacey, groaning.

" Stacey!"

"What, I'm allowed to say the truth right ?" Justifying herself, she twirled a strand of her hair with her Index finger.

" Geez, not weird at all," I said fully turning my attention to Natasha.

" Now that it's sorted, you can go back to your room now Jeremy" Whoa, whoa I'm not ready to give up on my cookie quest because her weird friend Is here.

" Sure, when I get the cookie I want" I stood my ground. All of this was simply because I was tired of staying in the room doing nothing. At least now I'm being sorta productive.

" I already said No"

" Why are you saying no?" everybody deserves a logical explanation.

" I just don't want to give you, isn't that enough as a reason?"

" Enough? It's barely a reason"

" You're so dramatic, all this hassle for a cookie. I'm really close to calling you a man child" A man child? Pfft, I look/act nothing like a man child.

" You wouldn't dare"

" Says the guy pouting while begging for a cookie" I never pout, it was almost impossible for me to pout. It's not manly.

" When you say it like that, I sound like a man child which I'm not. I'm not even pouting"

" Don't you both get tired of arguing over something so irrelevant?" A random lady butted into the conversation. Arguing? I won't call this an argument, if it was Natasha will be trying to kill me. Hold up, what was she wearing?

" Is that a Sombrero?" I asked laughing. What's with everyone in this house? First Natasha is wearing an adult onesie and now a Sombrero. If I knew her little sleepover will be so interesting, I would have bugged her for an invitation instead.

They stared at me while I laughed uncontrollably.

" Why are you wearing a Sombrero? On second thought, I don't think I even want to know." I said in between my laughter. I wiped away the tears rolling down my face from laughing so much. Despite myself, I took a second to examine Samantha. She had short hair, pale white skin, bright green eyes, a nose ring, and was slightly taller than Natasha. Definitely not what I was expecting, they didn't look as though they were related.

" Samantha, meet my annoying friend, no meet the person I'm forced to share a house with, Jeremy," Natasha said during her pathetic attempt of an introduction.

" So what's the fuss about?" Samantha asked ignoring her sister

" I just want a cookie" I stated plainly

" AND I SAID NO!" Her sister butted in.

She sighed and pulled me by my arm " Just come with me"

It wasn't like I had a choice, her grip on my wrist tightened as we walked away from the two.

Walking into the kitchen, she handed the entire tray over to me.

" I only said a cookie" I wasn't protesting, I just knew that Natasha will have my head.

" There's still more, so feel free to enjoy" She's definitely not related to Natasha.

" Oh, in that case. Thank you. You're so much better than your annoying sister"

She chuckled and whispered " Don't say that so loudly unless you have a death wish"

We both laughed as I headed to my room peacefully munching on my cookies.
