Chapter 84: PORCELAIN DOLL

“I would do something nice for you too.” He said, before asking for an excuse to get something.

His figure disappeared into a room at the far end of the shop, right behind the counter. It was giving me the vibes of a secret tunnel.

“Are you still alive?....” I whispered warily, when he hadn't returned after a few minutes.

There was no answer but I really did hope he was alive, because I have no idea how to run an antique shop.

“Yeah, of course, I'm I told you I was going to get something.” His piercing gaze bearing into my skin, didn't make me notice an object in his hands.

Awkwardly scratching the back of my neck, “Yes, you did. But, it's not every day that the shop owner disappears to a tunnel? In the walls of his antique shop which was previously an antique doll shop. Now, is it?”

“You just confused me, boy.”He didn't need to say it because perplexion was written all over his face.
