Dummy, Dumb, Dumb

The blonde watched his friend return to his father's side. Realizing he didn't introduce Miss Rebecca, he turned to find she was already gone. Looking around the ball, he couldn't find where she ran off to. Rubbing his face, he asked around and they led him to the gardens out in the back.

'Hm? So, Miss Rebecca likes flowers. That is good to know,' he noted. At least that was something he learned about the female. Since her stay, she had only complained so what he gained was all the stuff she hated. It was nice to know she liked something.

Opening the door, he walked out into fresh night's air. As he was walking around the rows of roses and other flowers he did not know the name of, Bruin sighed. Looking at the moon slowly heading to a full one, he thought back to what Moon had asked him.

"Do you believe in the Moon Goddess?"

'Do I?' He pulled out his grandfather's pocket watch. Opening it, he ran his thumb over the etched image.

As he was lost in thought, he heard a scream. Putting his pocket watch back into his pocket, he held steady to his blade at his hips. Rushing out of the gardens to the back, he found a struggle. That dress on the female…

"Miss Moon!"

He called out and rushed to the commotion.

"Oh, Sir Bruin," one of the men, a warrior, smiled, "Don't mind us. We caught her snooping around."

"Sir Bruin. Please, I have done no such thing! I was trying to find the ball. I promised you."

He saw purple eyes looking at him pleadingly. His blue eyes saw the tears on the dress, the grip on her arms, and he narrowed his eyes.

"Let her go."

"Sir Bruin," the other guard spoke up frowning deeply, "We cannot let her go. She had tried to hurt us. She must be punished."

"Let her go," he stated again and both men stared at one another, before the same guard scowled.

"She must have done something to you! You are not yourself, Bruin. Can you not see that? She had poisoned you!"

The blonde grabbed his fellow warrior by the collar and pulled him forward. His blue eyes narrowed dangerously and he face was as cold as the lake at night.

"I said Let. Her. Go."

"You are a fool," the guard spit out, but let the female go. The other followed and he searched the female to make sure she was alright.

"How are you, Miss Moon?"

"I am better. Thank you, Sir Bruin."

He let out a sigh of relief and smiled at Moon. Although the dress was ripped in some areas, he was happy to see she was wearing the outfit he purchased for her. Her feet was no longer bare and covered in the red shoes.

His favorite color.

"She had a weapon, Sir Bruin. To bring a weapon to a ball… What does that mean to you? Hm? Still going to protect this girl?" One of the guard seethed out and showed the blade with the emerald gem and the etching of the Moon Goddess's symbol.

He looked at Moon to see her eyes glaring at the man. There was only one thing he could do in this situation. Inwardly sighing, he motioned for the blade.

"I will escort her out of the city."

"Wait, Sir Bruin…" Moon tried, but she was already being pulled to the exit of the city, "My… My clothes!"

"You cannot return for them, Miss Moon. You brought a weapon with you to a ball where leaders and those with titles are. How does that look if you were in my shoes?"

He explained quietly and she stopped talking. It was quiet as they headed to the front of the city of Springcall. The only entrance and exit of the city, unless one wishes to embark around the mountains.

The Moon Goddess wanted her clothes back. It was hers and she would rather wear her outfit than this one. Although she believed she looked nice, it wasn't her outfit.

"Sir Bruin, please. At least… Give me my outfit back. I need it. I shall wait here for it," she pleaded as they reached outside of the city.

"Miss Moon," he sighed, "Why did you even bring this blade? Did you want to hurt someone?"

"No," she shook her head, "That isn't my intention. I do apologize, Sir Bruin. I just wanted to hold it. I... Although I detest it, it still has some of my energy in it. I hope you can forgive me."

She bowed and he turned away for a moment.

"Wait here. I will bring it to you."

"Thank you."

The Moon Goddess… messed up. She really wasn't planning anything! Promise! She just wanted something of hers with her. The lingering of her power was calming and reminded her of her past, motivated her to do better.

Ah~ but she messed up in bringing it! It was certainly her fault.

'Dummy, dumb, dumb!'

"Hey, you," a female voice called out and she saw a female with purple hair and green eyes.

'Wait… she looked familiar…'

The image of a carriage speeding by her and the female with purple hair and green eyes narrowed at her. This… She was her, right?!

"What are you doing?" The female questioned with her arms crossed before her chest. There was an arrogance to her, an attitude that said she was far better than anyone.

"I am waiting for Sir Bruin."

"What?" She looked at her up and down before her straight lips curled up, then the purple haired female laughed.

"You? You are waiting for the best man here? Did he ask for you to wait? How pathetic to be out here all alone. Poor you and your ripped dress."

Moon did not like her. If she was honest, she hated her. This female reminded her of her dear Beary scratching the rocks to dull his sharp nails. She didn't like that noise and so she did not like this lady. She opened her mouth to retort back, but the man they were speaking up was in view.

His steps slowed for a moment as his blue eyes looked to the other female. Quickly walking to her, the Moon Goddess was handed her white dress back.

"Be careful out there," Bruin smiled and pulled his arms back.

The Moon Goddess nodded and noticed the female had wrapped her arms around Sir Bruin.

'Ah… I see.'

"Thank you, Sir Bruin, for your assistance. May you be happy with your lover."

"Wha-"

"Thank you. You may go now," The female shooed her away.

Moon's eye twitch and she looked one last time into blue eyes that could had been her chosen. Bowing, she turned and left the couple and the city of Springcall. Frowning to herself, she dropped her shoulder with a sigh.

'Alright, hopefully I find someone in… what was the next city again?' She tried to remember and entered the forest, 'Bay… Bay something.'
