I Only Spoke The Truth

They followed and prayed as they had since the cancelled wedding in Rosemount. Their mother was surprised but welcomed them to worshipping the Moon Goddess. As they finished their bows, Benjamin helped in the kitchen with his mother while Charles looked over the finances of the city.

"Mom," The younger twin chopped the scallions, "I want a job."

"You have a job, honey."

"No, I mean… A real one like Charles. I want to make my own money."

"Eh? Why? Wait… Did something happen?" His mother looked at him with scrutinizing eyes.

"No really," Benjamin frowned, "It's just… I want to be able to provide for her."

"Her…" His mother stopped cutting the potatoes to stare at him, "Who is her? You've dated girls before… Is… Is she someone you want to settle down with?!"

Her eyes were wide and her son's cheeks reddened. She was right! It was true! Her dear son wanted to settle down!

"I really like her," Benjamin murmured and she laughed.
