Mom?
Dad?
Where am I?
My eyelids felt heavier than ever. It was so cold. I sat up trying to see where I was.
I could see someone standing. Their back was facing me. My eyes wavered the more I tried to make out the sight.
"Hello?" my tongue felt heavy. I asked but no answer. The person turned around.
Mom? Mom!?
I ran towards her but she disappeared into thin air. Her voice resonating like a chill air in the winter morning." Vivan, where are you? Come back to us."
Mom? I broke down. I looked up as I saw someone standing Infront of me again. Dad? I tried to pull him into a hug but he also slipped away through my hands. What was happening???
"Vivan, Vivan, Vivan, Vivan, Vivan," those words are ringing in my head to the point it became unbearable.
And there, a few steps away from me, mom and dad were standing....holding out a hand for me. I rushed towards them but before I almost touch their hands, someone grabbed me from behind.
I struggled but my limbs felt useless nothing but a boneless appendixes. I looked up to see...him.
It was Micheal.
I felt lightheaded staring up at him with a sinister smirk, veins were popping out of his forehead.
He suddenly tugged me to the ground, straddled me, and choked me. "You pathetic little bitch, all you know is to cry and give up. You're worthless. I will make sure everyone you loved will suffer," he laughed out and pulled out a gun.
He shot them down one by one. No. No.
"No, please don't. No!!!!!!!" "No. No. No. Please. Don't. Ahhhh," I screamed at top of my lungs.
I was on the bed in my room. I felt my heartache again, it was been a while since the last panic attack. I tried applying pressure on my chest hoping to lessen the pain.
I walked out of the room slowly. I heard voices downstairs. It was like a woman's shoutings. I leaned my head on the wall and tried to make out the words.
"Are you out of mind?! Why is this happening?!" I recognized the voice of that lady.
"Just ignore like you always do, Lizzy. I stay out of your shit, and you stay out of mine," Michael's voice was calm.
"Can't you see it?! She's frightened. I'm sure you're lying about her. This isn't helping that poor little girl. Now tell me what did you do to her and what will you do to her?!" She yelled.
"I've said! I. Love. Her." I heard him seething.
"She is just a little girl. I know it took some time to push someone into such insanity. Oh my god. So, you brought while she's in her teen years, oh gosh!!" The lady was yelling. I peaked at them in the dining room. Michael was sitting there.
He seemed to be confused. "You don't know. I- I can't let her go. "
He released a heavy sigh, "I can't live without her,"
" This is all wrong, Damien. All of this is wrong. Mom would not want to see you becoming a monster like this. I understand you had to go through all of those by yourself. And I'm sorry that I ran away. But I'm here, Damien. So please, let the poor girl go. You're breaking her, " her voice broke at the end.
It seemed to catch his attention.
The infamous smirk... again. Oh gosh. That could not be good.
" Yes, you. You ran away leaving me with that fucker alone, your so-called dad. He's dead. Look at me now, I'm nothing but someone you and your pathetic excuses can't mess with, " he rose up from his seat and towered over that lady.
" I serve no one but me! I own her and I will do whatever I want with her! She is My Godamn Property!!!" He yelled the last part.
I put my legs together to ease the tension but it didn't seem to relieve the pressure between my legs. I quickly strapped my hands to stop from wetting myself all over.
I quietly sat down by the top of stairs as I took deep breaths.
" Fine, I'll take her with me," I heard her sneering. She wasn't afraid of him...
" No, you're not. I'm done with your shit. I won't tolerate you even if you're the pathetic excuse of a sister," He growled.
The atmosphere was so intense.
I leaned my head against the railing, completely freaked out. The silence was eating me alive.
But my instincts told me to try to believe that nice lady. Maybe she could help me out of this hell. Away from Micheal.
But my family, they would be in danger then.
I tried to sneak backwards towards upstairs but at the very first step, I clumsily bumped the vase. I swore it was merely sounded. My breath hitched as I heard Michael's harsh voice, "Come here, Vivan,"
Not wanting to make him angry further, I exposed him from my spot and walked towards him with a down head.
He gestured me to come quickly. Once I was near, he grabbed and placed me on his lap.
I looked up that lady's direction, she was in tears and she seemed frustrated.
"Damien, I turned blind eyes with the guilt for you to do whatever you want. But this- this is too much. Can't you see what you have become? You became like him, just like father!" She whispered yelled and Damien visibly tensed at her last part.
"Enough!!! I'm nothing like him. I. Love. Her" Micheal yelled back while grabbing my face harshly to face her.
"I love her and I won't kill myself over a woman like a coward. I will break her and I will do as I please," he growled painfully holding my chin.
I looked at her pleadingly. She was making the situation worse.
"Damien, please. Let's start this all over again. Granny wants to see you so badly. And she- " she said but cut off by angry Michael smashing his fist on the table.
" Don't you.. fucking dare! Now get out of here before I call your precious little husband to fetch your ass," Micheal spat with such venom.
"Or you can ask her by yourself,-" He turned my face to him as his breath fanned upon my face, " See if she wanna go with you," Micheal spit out the words with an increasingly tight grip on my jaw, making me want to dug a hole there on the ground and die.
She didn't seem to be affected by Michael's words. " Honey, you don't wanna be here...right? Come with me," she said while smiling as if almost confronting a little child.
I stared at a wall and tried to ignore her.
" Go ahead, you only wanna be with me. With Daddy? Hmm? Say that you won't leave me," he hushed.
" Come with me. I can get you out of here. Okay, sweety?" she held up her hands.
"Tell. Her. To. Leave." his hot breath fanned against my cheek.
Should I? Would she help me? 'No. Don't be stupid.'
" I'm waiting..." Micheal whispered to me again. His voice hinted...the consequences.
I started to shake as I sobbed " Please, leave,"
Michael holds the back of my head and places my head in the crook of his neck. "You heard her. She's not coming with you," Micheal said calmly. Michael was drawing circles on my back, a hand was rubbing my arms.
The lady was about to say something but a loud," Bang!!!!!" went off making me jump.
A gunshot?!!!
