Chapter 2382 Reckless Savage What Are You Planning?

In the Dream Realm, Zhan Bu Du made cautious progression.

"First, let's see what we're working with."

Inspecting his aperture revealed that he was currently a Rank 1 Gu Master he had one Gu, Rank 1 Black Boar Gu.

"Hmm? Why has this person not consumed their Black Boar Gu?" This Gu was a part of Fang Yuan's early rise to fame.

Fang Yuan's initial plan was to become a Strength Path cultivator with Enslavement Path as his specialty.

The Black Boar Gu was part of a series of Beast Strength Gu, consuming these Gu would, over time, give the Gu cultivator the strength of that beast.

"There has to be a reason it's not been consumed yet," Zhan Bu Du thought to himself.

Suddenly a loud bang on the door could be heard: "Shen Li! Get your ass out here now!"

The voice grew ever more impatient.

Sighing to himself Zhan Bu Du decided to hold off the consumption of the Black Boar Gu and see what the mess is all about.

Opening the door, he was greeted by 3 figures.

There were 3, rather, scrawny kids standing outside his dilapidated shack of a house.

"Hmm, I seem to be in some sort of clan."

One of the side kids then began to shout: "You've got some nerve Shen Li!"

Zhan Bu Du just stood: "What do you want from me?"

The main guy spoke: "Hmph! Trying to feign ignorance we know you discovered an unknown Gu when you picked up that body of a Black Boar. We'll make it simple hand it over and no one gets hurt."

The side goons started making taunting beating gestures with their fists.

"Hmm, their leader seems to be a Rank 2 while his lackeys are just some Rank 1s, with no Gu of my own there would be no way to win except…"

Zhan Bu Du then responded: "Ok fine. I'll hand over the Gu."

He took out the Gu and began to walk towards the leader.

Seeing this shocked the others who thought they would have to beat it out of him.

"Heh wise choice kid, you may be a coward but at least you have a brain," The leader spoke as he outstretched his hand for the Gu.

"Hmph, speaking of brain you should use yours!" Zhan Bu Du replied.

Zhan Bu Du immediately consumed the Black Boar Gu and sucker-punched the leader in his groins!

The proximity and sudden burst of strength caused him to fall to his knees, clutching his groin, in pain.

Zhan Bu Du quickly followed it up with a punch to the face, knocking the leader out cold.

The goons were shocked, at first, but quickly grew enraged.

"How dare you knock big bro out!"

"You'll pay for this."

But when Zhan Bu Du turned around and glared at them they quickly lost the will to fight.

"Y…you, we'll be back."

They then carried the body of their leader away.

Before the Dream could end Zhan Bu Du, heard Shen Li say: "Hmph, if one comes, I'll beat one, and if two come I'll beat two!"

Returning to reality Zhan Bu Du found that not even a minute had passed in the real world.

"Hmm, this Shen Li fellow is interesting," Zhan Bu Du thought to himself.

Normally one would get a boost in attainment levels after exploring a Dream Realm but as this was a very minor one, Zhan Bu Du could only faintly feel the increase.

"Hmm, but if I had no Strength Path attainments after this Dream Realm, I would be in the Quasi-Master stage."

He prepared himself and took the second step.

As expected, he has whisked away into another Dream Realm

This time he was in a forest, in hunter's attire, he was now a Rank 2 Gu Master.

"It appears that my conjecture was right, I am still following the path of this Shen Li, and if my other hypothesis is right then this should be,"

Before he could finish his thoughts, he heard a large squeal.

3 meters from him a Black Boar could be seen trapped in a makeshift pit.

Walking over, Zhan Bu Du noticed that the Boar was just stuck in a pit but was not significantly injured.

"Hmm? What kind of trap is this? There are no spikes at the bottom and the pit is just deep enough to prevent the Boar from escaping."

It was at this point did Zhan Bu Du check his aperture.

What he found shocked him.

"This Shen Li has 8 Black Boar Gu!"

If the Boar in front of him contained one more Black Boar Gu he would be able to have the full Strength of a Black Boar!

Zhan Bu Du immediately consumed the 8 Black Boar Gu to make it easier to fight the remaining Black Boar.

But strangely as soon as he consumed one Black Boar Gu, he was thrust out of the Dream Realm!

In the real-world Zhan Bu Du smiled grimly: "You've got to be kidding me, the Dream Realm wants me to fight that Boar with no assistance!?"

Luckily since it was still the low-level Dream Realm Zhan Bu Du's soul was only minorly damaged.

He headed back in and got up to the Boar once again.

"Hmph! So be it if the original owner could beat the Boar so can I." Saying that he jumped down the pit and used his momentum to slam onto the Boar!

It squealed out in pain

Zhan Bu Du followed it up by attacking its legs: "Hmph, the greatest strength and weakness of a Boar is its charge, if the legs are injured a Boar is no better than a sitting duck!"

Currently, he had at least 1/10th the strength of a Black Boar. He used all that strength to injure the Boar's leg, preventing it from charging at full speed.

The Boar let out another squeal but by this time it was useless, its front legs were severely injured, and it could not rest its weight on them much less charge.

Zhan Bu Du then proceeded to beat on the Boar until it died.

He retrieved the Black Boar Gu and the Dream ended.

Awakening, Zhan Bu Du shook his head.

"It seems my other conjecture may be right, this is no ordinary person's Dream, its Reckless Savage's!"

The mannerism and the way he conducted himself, wanting to fight strong opponents and being headstrong.

Reckless Savage Demon Venerable went against the way of Fang Yuan.

Honor? Glory? Fair Fight? What nonsense!

Who cares about being a 'real' man? Can a 'real' man live forever?

Needless to say, this would prove to be frustrating, to say the least.

Zhan Bu Du soon took his 3rd, 4th, 5th,6th, and 7th steps.

Each time he encountered an opponent, he would have to pick the option that was more challenging.

He never had a weak opponent to face.

In the 4th Dream, Reckless had entered a city where Gu Masters could fight one another for money.

The first match he was placed against was with the city's governor's son!

Reckless was instructed to throw the match. But guess what he did?

He killed the son!

This infuriated the governor, but thankfully for once the rules protected him, and death in the arena is not grounds for arrest.

But this didn't stop the governor from sending assassins after him.

In another instance after becoming an Immortal Reckless stole Resources from a Super Clan!

Causing him to be chased down by Rank 7s!

And how was he exposed? He bragged about it often! He would not shut up about how he had mad heist from the Super Clan.

Zhan Bu Du had no control of Reckless's mouth!

"Finally, the last step."

Expecting to be in a life or death situation Zhan Bu Du braced himself.

But what he found puzzled him.

He was in an empty space, there was nothing and nobody around, except for a table with 2 seats, 2 cups, and a bottle of hard alcohol.

This time in the Dream his body was not Shen Li nor Zhan Bu Du it was actually his main body, Fang Yuan!

He walked to the table took a seat and poured the cup across from him a drink and then himself.

At that moment across from Reckless Savage appeared.

"Hehe did you have fun living my life?" He grabbed the cup and downed the drink in an instance.

Fang Yuan sat there and took a sip: "What's your plan?"

Reckless smiled: "Hehe I like you straight to the point, though you could put on some muscle you're too skinny! Someone of your standing needs muscle like mine."

He said as he pointed and flexed his biceps.

Fang Yuan was growing a little annoyed: "Get to the point, why did you set up this whole contest? Why bring me here?"

This was the point that really intrigued Fang Yuan, somehow Reckless had pulled his main body into a Dream as well!

"Relax, your clone is fine he's doing my Rank 8 Dream as we speak, this should boost your Strength Path attainment to Great Grandmaster,"

But before Fang Yuan could speak: "Don't think too much into why I'm helping you, treat this as payment for helping set up this stage."

"What's your intention?" Fang Yuan said with a pensive gaze.

"Hehe."

And the Dream ended.

Fang Yuan awoke in the real world and found that his hunger was somewhat more tolerable now and he was clearer-headed.

The other Venerables noticed this as well and began being apprehensive.

"Hmm? It seems Fang Yuan has come back from the brink of insanity. I had sensed some kind of Dream Path method being used but I couldn't pinpoint the source," Star Constellation thought to herself.

Giant Sun inspected Fang Yuan's Luck once more: "Hmm, although with Rank 8 Cooking Luck Pot protecting him, I can't quite see his exact Luck I can tell that it has grown after that brief Dream Path encounter, what's happening?"

"His Soul is also not as clouded or anguished from the hunger of the Sovereign Immoral Fetus Gu, Fang Yuan has become a threat once again." Spectral Soul thought to himself.

None of the Venerables trusted the other but especially so for Fang Yuan, with a projected course for failure in front of him, this sudden detour made them all uneasy.

But perhaps the person with the most question was actually Fang Yuan himself!
