Chapter 2425: Dao of Karma
Instantly Giant Sun's face paled: "Karma?!"
Blood red chain soon burst forth from an illusory Door of Life and Death.
All the while sounds could be heard coming from the other side:
"Demon!"
"Misogynist!"
"Womanizer!"
More and more chains burst forth from that illusory Door of Life and Death and bound themselves to Giant Sun Immortal Venerable's Golden Pillar.
They wound and wound so tightly that cracks became visible in Giant Sun's Luck!
"Tch," Giant Sun counterattacked the chains with his own Luck Path methods: "To think Red Lotus actually researched the Dao of Karma."
Giant Sun was shocked because he thought he was the only one!
Karma was not something that could be defined as a mere 'Path' it was the sum and totality of everything, the webs of Fate were largely linked to the Dao of Karma.
Giant Sun read the
"Fate has to obey the Heavenly Dao, it is under the orders of the Heavenly Dao to maintain balance and order in this world, but the Heavenly Dao does not want a world of mindless beings that go about their days with no drive, purpose or ambition!"
"Thus, Ren Zhu and all the inhabitants in the Gu world of his time could be said to be the prototype to system we have today. With Fate at the helm."
Basically, the Heavenly Dao wanted Controlled Freedom.
That is to say that the beings within are Free to make any choice they want, but to a large degree, Fate can influence that choice.
It's like saying if a man wants to pick between Food A or Food B.
The choice is his, but the options were presented by Fate!
Intricately woven plans made sure that if someone had to choose it would only be between Option A or B, Fate ensured there was no Option C, D, E.
To do this Fate utilized the Dao of Karma, cause and effect, if someone chose Option A it would lead to a myriad of other choices that Fate had to calculate.
By using the Dao of Karma, Fate could trace these lines to their eventual outcome.
Giant Sun was part ways there, he had developed 'All Living Being's Luck', 'Heaven and Earth Luck' and, 'Self Luck'.
To further compliment this chain, he developed Blood Path and had many decedents.
This was the most direct form of Karma, descendants!
Their every action, good or bad, would link back to Giant Sun Venerable in some small way.
Giant Sun wanted to study the Dao of Karma deeper but with the war of the 3 then 4 then 5 Venerables, he simply didn't have the time.
But now that Red Lotus displayed a portion of the Dao of Karma:
"I can use this time to study this Killer Move! Under the guise of being trapped, I can gain some insight into the Dao of Karma!"
Giant Sun began to put up a 'struggle' but he was really deeply deducing the Dao of Karma from Red Lotus's Killer Move.
"Hmph," Genesis Lotus let out a cold harumph, he knew that Giant Sun wouldn't be that badly affected by a Killer Move of an unknown path, especially since it was only a Rank 8 Killer Move, a powerful one but Rank 8 nonetheless:
"Tch, I knew these other Venerables wouldn't be trustworthy, even Gaunt Sun was lured away by greed what more Fang Yuan!"
Genesis Lotus brought forth his Painting World

All of a sudden the Painting World began to exert a force on Red Lotus.
"Hmm?" Red Lotus looked up, he saw a huge sphere filled with miniature clouds, trees and even people!
The force they exerted made it difficult for him to move!
"Go, Fang Yuan! He's being weighed down by the mass and emotions built up within the Painting World!"
Fang Yuan looked over and noticed that Red Lotus's Will was sinking slightly into the ground, but more than that he seemed to be in a daze.
"Very well." Fang Yuan thrust his finger forward:

A giant clock appeared in front of Red Lotus Demon Venerable.
The clock was grand and mystical, it held galaxies and planets orbiting around its face.
At first, the clock ticked at the standard rate of time, but Fang Yuan waved his finger and the Second Hand started spinning wildly, then the minute, hour.
"Nothing's happening!" Genesis Lotus huffed, outraged.
"Give it a minute," soon the date window started spinning, the dust began to pile up
Then the month began to turn, coldly turned to warmth back to cold as if the seasons were changing.
Finally, the year started flying wildly too, the dust began to build up.
1 year
10 years
100 years
1000 years!
The ground around Red Lotus was slowly being dusted away, though Rock proved to be rather resilient.
10,000 years!
Red Lotus's Will still stood tall.
"It's been '10,000' years how come he's still as alive looking as ever!?" Genesis Lotus didn't believe that Fang Yuan's Killer Move was doing as he said.
"Hmph, throw an organic object and see for yourself,"
Genesis Lotus cast a glance of suspicion at Fang Yuan, then threw the corpse of a Desolate Beast.
In mere seconds, the corpses were reduced to ashes:
"Okay, so why is nothing happening to him!?"
"Hmm," Fang Yuan rubbed his chin: "His Will has been around for nearly a Million Years it could be that he has a big stockpile of Wills left."
"Then why don't you use a different method!?"
"Hmph! Do you have a better way of attacking Wills? Our Wisdom Path Venerable is held up blocking that endless bombardment of Eternal Night Sword because our other Venerable is held up by some new Path so it's down to two people who don't specialize in any good way of dealing with Wills so just sit back and wait!"
"You!" Genesis Lotus held up his finger, but he couldn't find any way to refute Fang Yuan's logic.
The 2 Venerables just sat and stared at the clock.
Meanwhile,
In the final secret chamber,
A petite girl was sitting alone at a stone table, the tea had gone cold, but she sat there motionlessly staring.
It was none other than Zhao Lian Yun!
She was completely dazed by the events that had transpired before her,
First, she climbed all the way up to meet her lover, but he wasn't there,
Then, Red Lotus revealed the truth of Love Gu, who she had been depending on this entire time.
Now, her only hope remaining was with the plan Red Lotus had setup:
"Is there really our destiny?" she wondered as she played with the Gu in her hands, Rank 9 aura pulsed from it.
Suddenly, the coffin in the centre began to pulse and glow.
Zhao Lian Yun quickly stood up: "It's time."
The red liquid was extracted from the tubes connected to the floors, while a gold liquid seeped out from Fang Zheng and Fang Xiang.
The two liquids converged in the coffin:
A blue screen flashed before Zhao Lian Yun: "Revitalization Progress at 10% 11% 12%..."
The number began to slowly climb
Zhao Lian Yun sighed: "This is the right thing to do…. there's no other way…forgive me."
Time trickled by as the dust surrounding Red Lotus grew and grew

Fang Yuan and Genesis Lotus tapped their feet's when Fang Yuan said:

At such a close range, Genesis Lotus would have definitely been hurt, if not killed, by the near Rank 9 Daybreak Torrent!
But at that very moment, a flurry of Pitch-black swords and Stars swirled around Genesis Lotus, blocking the Daybreak Torrent!
Meanwhile, Giant Sun was shocked, he tried to break free of the Killer Move immediately to get in a better position, but the strength of the move intensified greatly!
"It's a trap!" he screamed out!
The 'dazed' Red Lotus immediately snapped out of it and joined up with Star Constellation and, Genesis Lotus.
"How did you know?" Genesis Lotus was slightly startled, despite nearly facing death he knew they were in cahoots with Red Lotus only through Star Constellation.
Fang Yuan merely snorted.
Indeed, he knew from the moment they met Red Lotus the 3 would be in cahoots!
He had deduced the secret meaning in Red Lotus's message, "3 paces forth I once started, am I regretting helping humanity since primordial times?"
"I have to admit it was quite ingenious, if they had hidden the message in anything other than a poem, I wouldn't have figured it out but thanks to Li Xiao Bai I was able to decipher this message!"
Although Li Xiao Bai still hadn't gotten the Information Path True Meaning hidden within Profound Literature Grotto Heaven, he had acquired a few Information Path Inheritances related to Poems!
"Right off the bat the number 3 set off alarms in my head, I took out the inheritances regarding codded messages in poems, from there I found that every 3rd word in his message spelt out: 'I am helping Primordial!'"
Indeed, Red Lotus had secretly informed Star Constellation of who he was helping!
Of course, this could all have been done to throw Fang Yuan off, but what really tipped him off was how he fought.
