Chapter 2463: Demon Path Attainment

The Dream ended.

"What a pity," Fang Yuan lamented to himself, "I was unable to interact for most of that Dream and didn't manage to gain much information."

Due to him playing the role of Shui Xin, Fang Yuan didn't get to do much during the dream.

"But at least I acquired this,"

"Water Path – Supreme Grandmaster."

This was a big boost to Fang Yuan as this was the first of the core 7 Elemental Paths to reach Supreme Grandmaster!

Fang Yuan was ecstatic, "With Water Path Supreme Grandmaster, I can already envision adding Ice Path into my Dao of Elements."

Indeed, there were other Paths that related to the Elements, beyond the core 7, such as Ice Path, Lightning Path, Wood Path, etc…

Fang Yuan did not incorporate these Paths, not just because his attainment in them couldn't match the main 7, but because his main 7 were not stable enough to support them.

It was like Fang Yuan's Dao of Elements was a tree trunk and these other paths were branches, if the trunk was thinner and smaller than the branches it would topple the whole tree.

Likewise, Fang Yuan lacked the necessary attainment in the trunk portion, Dao of Elements, to support the branches, Ice Path, Lightning Path, Wood Path, Etc…

"But now with Water Path Supreme Grandmaster, I should be able to start incorporating Ice path, but I can't be too rash if not I'll completely crumble the Dao of Elements!"

Once a Dao Fruit has been formed it cannot be changed.

But it can be improved upon.

There are 2 ways.

One is to add more Paths to make the Dao more encompassing and diverse.

If the Dao can accept the new Path, it will have a new source of strength to draw upon.

The second method is related to the first.

Once a certain number of Paths has been added, a Dao could evolve into a higher one.

For example,

Currently, Heaven possesses the Dao of Slaughter, which encompasses Killing Path and Soul Path.

However, it is possible to evolve the Dao of Slaughter into the Dao of Death by adding a few paths.

"It is similar to refining Gu, but the difference is that you not only need the material but also the corresponding attainment as well." Fang Yuan stroked his chin.

"But that's not important right now, this is."

Fang Yuan reviewed the second thing he gained from this Dream, "Master attainment in Demon Path!"

Indeed, somehow from this Dream, Fang Yuan had left with a large portion of Water Path attainment but also a tiny bit of Demon Path as well!

Shui Xin ran away, vowing to seek revenge one day.

She turned to the demonic path, she used her Father's work as the foundation to pioneer the deadly aspect of Water Path

And when she came back, she raised a tidal wave so massive it submerged that entire part of the Central Continent and wiped out the entire Shui Clan, leaving no survivors or descendants, as she died without an heir.

"Wet Hair may have been the first Demon of Water Path, but no one remembers or acknowledges him as one, instead they recognized Shui Xin as she was the most terrifying,"

Fang Yuan shook his head, he wanted to inspect the bit of memory Limitless left for him, but he couldn't while he was still stuck in the Dream Realms.

His view began to change, "Here we go again."

Meanwhile,

In the Painting World,

Shuai Ge had just come around, "I'm back!"

He was quite excited since he obtained quite a bit from the Shui Ni Dream Realm.

"Not only did I manage to obtain Grandmaster in Water Path I also obtained Master in Refinement Path!"

Although it was typically not beneficial to pursue a path that wasn't helpful to your main, Refinement Path was one of those exceptions.

Having Refinement Path attainment was always beneficial, even if one didn't focus on Refining Gu.

There were numerous applications for Refinement Path, such as repairing Gu, identifying Fake Gu, not wasting resources, making money, etc…

No one would say no to Refinement Path attainment.

"Too bad, I played Wet Hair and not Shui Ni, otherwise I would have gotten Great-Grandmaster or even Quasi-Supreme Grandmaster!"

Out of nowhere, a man appeared in front of Shuai Ge.

He had the appearance of a young man with a gentlemanly air, wearing green clothes and a white headband, his long hair extended to his shoulders.

It was Genesis Lotus!

"L-lord Genesis," Shuai Ge got up and kneeled, "What brings you here?"

Genesis Lotus inspected him, "Good I see you have managed to obtain quite the fortuitous encounter,"

"Thank you, Lord Genesis Lotus." Shuai Ge was a little shy from the praise.

Genesis Lotus nodded in approval, "There are two options."

Shuai Ge looked up in attention.

"One, you can go back to Dream fishing, hoping to find another relevant Path, but be warned, the total Dream Realms across the entire 5 Regions has shrunk by half, meaning not only are the remaining Dream Realms incredibly hard, but you'll also have competition."

"Or" Genesis Lotus held up his second finger, "Alternatively you can enter the Derivation Formation to digest and incorporate the gains from your Dream Realm, though by the time you're done coming up with new Gu recipes, Killer Moves and Combat Systems, the Dream Realms would have shrunk to a level where there's a high chance, you'll encounter the top of the cream."

Genesis Lotus then passed a Guts Gu to Shuai Ge, "Take the time to heal and think about it, I'll come for your answer once your Soul is stable."

And just like that, he vanished.

Shuai Ge recovered his injuries while considering his options.

"I have an adequate amount of understanding towards my combat systems, and Water Path has great versatility in all areas. Whether it be movement, defence, attack, investigation, Water path has a decent way of covering them all."

"What I need is greater attainment levels!" Shuai Ge resolved himself to try the Dream Realm at least a few more times.

At the same time,

Genesis Lotus appeared before a few other Heavenly Court Immortals that had acquired at least a Grandmaster level attainment.

How did Genesis Lotus appear to so many people at once?

Of course, it wasn't the actual Genesis Lotus but Wills he created for the purpose of guiding the Heavenly Court Gu Immortals.

The reason Genesis Lotus himself did not appear was that he was actually in a Dream Realm as well!

He gave Star Constellation full control of the Painting World so that he could go raise his attainment in other Paths and bring him closer to the Dao.

Star Constellation sat in front of her numerous monitors, her eyes closed, constantly in a state of deduction.

It was a rather peculiar sight.

"To think you would go so far Heavenly Court," a young handsome man approach Star Constellation from behind.

He wore a red robe, his face was pure as jade, and his bright eyes seem to contain in them the vicissitudes of life.

It was Red Lotus!

He had too ventured out into the Dream Realm, in hopes of increasing his understanding of Space Path.

Star Constellation responded to him without opening her eyes, "I'd ask you how it went but I already know; congratulations."

Red Lotus smiled, "Thank you, I was just lucky."

Indeed, Red Lotus was lucky to acquire a Dream Realm that contained some Space Path attainment.

A small silence ensued.

Until Red Lotus broke it, "Why don't you venture into the Dream Realms? The competition isn't that stiff yet and there are still boundless opportunities, maybe you'll find the inspiration for your Dao."

Star Constellation took a deep breath, "I know that you're thinking this for my own good but as I said before, there is no need. With you and Genesis Lotus on the verge of obtaining the Dao and Heaven getting closer to upgrading his, there is no need for me personally find one as well."

"At least there's no rush to it." Star Constellation said with a deep breath, "My role is to ensure that the Heavenly Court members can regain their best condition and be able to reach where they once were or soar higher. It is my duty, my responsibility, my purpose!"

Star Constellation had a strained look on her face, "Ever since I became Star Constellation Immortal Venerable, I have lived for others, as my master did before me, I must ensure that Humanity will continue to thrive after we defeat Fang Yuan after we defeat Reckless after you all have ascended and left your Humanity behind!"

Star Constellation's conviction was truly praiseworthy, there was no one else in the world that could compare to her willingness to serve the greater good.

Even someone filled with benevolence and compassion like Paradise Earth couldn't help but praise Star Constellation's ability to think of others before herself.

The only person who was greater than her in capacity to care about Humanity was her master, and adoptive Father, Primordial Origin Immortal Venerable.

"Master has already obtained a Dao, and with you and Genesis Lotus supporting him, Humanity will always have a place in the Gu World. But once our Deal is in place there will be no more Venerables in the world."

"Humanity will have no protectors."
